I don't know about laughing, but i definitely heard a loud "Thump" where I'm sure MB fainted when he said baking soda and super glue is for amateurs lol
Also love how you put your baits on a gravitational roller when you're applying your epoxy that shows how much experience you actually have I've seen so many people just apply epoxy but myself I like to use a gravitational roller like you're using there because it helps the epoxy to move where it needs to move to and not just sit in one spot
I've had other BPM baits ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 before and they've pretty much always came through for me with the suskie smallies here and even with the walleye and pike, but I realized I didn't have an "in-between" pattern so this junebug one fills that role in no problem. it pairs up magnificently with a junebug Zoom Z-craw Jr that was trimmed a couple millimeters before the hook slots and rigged sideways for that fatter panfish side profile while still being a nice'n'compact presentation, a real power-finesse bait. Hell, it was so pretty I even bothered to fotosketch the pic into a watercolor painting image just to show you it's beauty! Even the blades are really well made, sure, they're not of Hildebrandt-level exquisiteness but look at the bead's reflection on the colorado blade, definitely well-made! The only "problem" spot it had was a bald spot in the skirt but it was nothing that I couldn't easily fix with a but of tuggin'n'shiftin' with the strands for a couple of seconds, besides that it is pretty minty!
I don't feel bad paying over $150 Australian dollars for 1 popper anymore...the amount of work in this is unbelievable. Just save my rage when a GT I can't stop goes under the reef. Great craftsmanship!
Beautiful! I love the detailed paint schemes that you do on your lures. The blue and green on the back of that bait go really well with each other. It was cool to see you use the Canadian toonie cuz I too live in Canada 🇨🇦 keep making amazing lures👍🏽
I was singing to my self “supa glue and bakin soda” as you said for armatures. Then I actually gasped as you said I bed you marking baits fans gasped out there. Cracked me up!!
"There's many Marling Baits fans gasping for air..." as I sit here with mouth agape. I died a little on the inside, but then I saw how easy is was to shave that Bondo off with a knife, and my faith was restored in you.
I always preferred the "split down the middle" approach to bait making. It allows for the wire to be run exactly how you want, and also allows for weight channels to be in the exact spots you want. Can even do loose lead shot so you can do rattle baits easily. We have big pike here everywhere I fish for bass with crankbaits, so through wire is just the best design when it comes to getting the odd 20lb pike. Even when it's not needed, it gives you that extra bit of confidence that your homemade bait is not going to be the weak point in the setup.
To make simple lures look so pretty is just another proof, that this is not talent or craftsmanship, but simply magic...or witchcraft...can't decide ;)
Thank you so vary much for you ministry it starts my day off looking up. Hope Chris will recover rapidly you need her directions. Your Brother in JESUS Rick
Great artistry mate love the finish you get . The cup for our popper can be easily made with a modified spade bit done in 30 sec ready for sanding give it a go
Dang shots across the Marling bow!!! All joking aside you and him are my favorite bait channels on UA-cam. I can only hope to make a bait as perfect as either of you!
Thats awesome to hear. Just focus on having fun with the hobby, your skills will develop while you play around with stuff. No one is a master when they start, it takes time. 😉
You have a wonderful channel where you share your experience and wonderful lures in great detail, thank you very much! I have subscribed and I will watch your films with interers.
That was VERY nice!! Making a couple myself and will also use them but my paint job will only wish to be that good. Also I will be adding rattle beads to the inside for sound attraction but once more I have to say: Nice Paint job!
I've used both "Bondo" and CA + soda and the problem with some bondo brands is that it might shrink after some time when the bondo layer is thick, CA + soda does not shrink. Epoxy repair putty would be the optimal solution for plugging the lead holes.
I’m over 1000 miles away and I can hear Marling Baits laughing along with you.
More like marling baits laughing at him cause he’s a brainwashed sheep person unlike marling
@@RockyMountainWest13 lol wtf
@@RockyMountainWest13 could you please explain?

I glued a drill bit into a golf ball, then taped/glued sandpaper onto it. It was a large popper, so a golf ball worked pretty well! Nice work!
Impressive work as always. Loved the stenciling and paint job.
Mikko for president!

AMAZING !!!
Poor Marlin Baits ........ LOL
That Popper would get eaten and crushed, 1st cast "Down Under" !!!
Brilliant Paint Work too !!!
Why’s that ?. People use jelutung for top water and it’s not much denser then balsa.

Very Very nice work brother 👏 👍
Regards and my salutations from Tetouan. 🇲🇦 Morocco
You are the master. I´d love to see it in a fishing situation and how it pops on the water. That is , when the water softens up in the spring.
It's great that the bait is unique and has a high artistic imagination in coloring and finishing
you're welcome
Really enjoyed watching your skill in making this lure.
Thanks for watching John
I am floored by your skills.👏

Great video man.
you can buy an abrasive ball sander for the mouth cup, will fit rite onto your drill.
