8:10 this guy nailed it. There's a massive difference between smoking weed and smoking jib or smashing heroin. The police agencies should absolutely be supporting officers with drug issues (regardless of how those issues began) but conflating a pot habit with being strung out on hard drugs is laughable
the world changes, if you broke the law when pot was illegal then it's 101% your fault lol, those guys destroyed their own life, nobody else, and this is coming from someone that smokes. it's not about the fkin plant, it's about following rules, and if you can't? that's what you get.
@Shay Wait, you do understand they sacrificed their own well being to clean up their community, right? While I agree they shouldn’t have used, I also understand why they did when they stepped foot into the dark world of drug dealing. I would hope to think they wouldn’t jeopardize their abilities to be successful in infiltrating and clearing out a higher distributor and partake in order to get the harder stuff off the streets. A little compassion for the folks who fell… NO ONE wants to be an addict. I do hold those in law enforcement with disdain, those acted despicably and judged them with no compassion and treated them as scum of their earth. They choose to be A$$ holes. Why didn’t they do it if they think it was such an easy job?
I also cannot believe they are saying that they are addicts because of weed. I've been smoking pot since I was 15 ,I'm 61 now. I'm don't do any illigal substances nor have ever wanted to. Our kids turned out fine and have no mental issues. 3 of the 4 went to collage and all are stable with jobs and their own homes. Cannabis helps many people and is a plant not a man made chemical. It also doesn't lead to the use of any illigal substances. The people that use those drugs choose to use knowing that they are addictive. Yet unfortunately we still have to hear how it's never their fault.
And now pot is legal in many countries. How many lives did he destroy for what's now considered a recreational drug? Such betrayal for a relatively minor drug is immoral and can't be justified. I bet many of their "friends" are still in prison. Terrible.
where i live, the gvt drove weed to people during the pandemic because pot was deemed “essential.” most everything else, inc some food markets, were closed. it infuriates me how many lives were ruined by the “devils lettuce” propaganda bs. big pharma kills hundreds of thousands with opioids but pot is demonized. unreal.

You'd be naïve to think going in as an undercover cop that you will emerge unscathed in one form or another. Cut your losses and move on. As with everything else in life.
You can absolutely get addicted to pot! I know several people that want to stop and just can’t. No withdrawals but addicted to get…of course that can happen.
I have never heard or seen a person who was addicted to marijuana. A total of 41 states, as well the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, have medical marijuana programs and 23 of those have decriminalized cannabis or have full adult-use programs. It still is illegal under federal law. Bless the constitution as states can regulate themselves.
I have a mate who is addicted to pot. He has a real problem, he moans daily about the quality when what he smokes is always strong . He had a terrible crack habit and used to bang up speed but now only really uses cannabis. Hes smoked all his life as I have, but im a lightweight now and can go weeks without a smoke without thinking about it . We are both in our 60s now and we need to take care of ourselves, but he smokes from the minute he wakes up to last thing at night . I dont know anyone else like this , plenty of serious pot heads , i was one myself, but this man has a psychological and physical addiction that defies intervention
If anybody wanted to.. they could put together Steve's whole face from this video. Considering he asked to stay anonymous, this wasn't really the way to go about it 🤣
The fact is that undercovers are required to try and become familiar with every kind of drug that is sold on the streets.....and some of them do become addicted.

I never knew New Zealand considered cannabis as such a "hard" drug, yes you can withdraw if you're a heavy user and stop instantly, but we're talking insomnia, increased sweating and at most anxiety/depression for a week or so, but if we look at the majority of the rest of the world, its actually a medication, (Morphine/heroin is used as a painkiller and short term medication which is different) you can still function, walk talk and even perform at a higher level whilst medicating with cannabis
These are people were turned into broken soles by the very department that they were severing, how dare the Police the Government and all these Judgemental people demonize these people, the should be given full compensation and be able to give counciling to those effected by Drug abuse.
I don't think that female ex under cover officer should have dumped on her father as he was dying. IMV that was selfish and cruel. Undercover work is important and the service should support this work. They should also be sure that the officers who undertake under cover work are resilient, clear about their purpose, and mentally strong. That they don't have their own vulnerabilities that attract them to that work in the first place. ( There are paedopiles who become teachers, arsonists who become firefighters). That they are well supervised. That there is a well thought out exit strategy when the time comes. I don't think the taxpayer should be supporting police officers who routinely use drugs. If you walk with monsters, you have to be careful not to become one. Otherwise, we can't tell the goodies from the baddies.
Google says: "Meth and P are the same thing. 'P' is a shortened form of 'Pure' which was a common slang term for it when it first hit the local drug scene a decade or so ago."
Hang on, ....weed? Fairly sure cannabis isn't addictive, habit forming perhaps, but in any case this is a beautiful, medicinal, natural medicine. Grow up, lol!
