Well done Kasia. Clipless pedals are fiendish contraptions until you're used to them. I think most of us begin with an 'off' in slow-moving traffic or around town - I certainly did. Really good effort with the 80 km at this stage of the trip.
Thanks. Exactly. I remember toppling over the junction at the top of Bury New Road in Ramsbotham as a youngster. Just as a full double decker bus went past. Rather embarrassing. And I have done it on a few other occasions too. Usually when things are worn out and don’t unclip when they should. Happens to us all at some point. She did really well.
Brilliant Kasia well done hope you enjoyed the roads in Majorca. Clipless pedals can be really tricky to begin with. The neck and shoulder pain - the handlebars are liably too wide (I’m sure you know this anyway)
Kasia says thank you. And yes, we have a narrower set of bars in the post to try out for a new to us bike Kasia picked up second hand at the weekend. We measure our shoulders at the weekend Kasia is about 36/38cm whereas I’m more like 46cm. I need to get wider bars but I’ve known that for years.
@@DuncMcNutt I’m very broad myself but I run 40cm bars - bike feels ALOT better than anything wider I think a lot of bike manufacturers give wider bars than people should have
@@luketoms6110 I was just saying Hola or nodding to anyone we passed or going the other way in the end. Most didn’t respond. For next time I need to find a t shirt with „Hi” on. 🤪
We were riding together. Had to. Kasia didn’t have the routes. And didn’t know where she was going. I assume you mean why didn’t we ride side by side though. Most of the time she was using my slip stream. You need to remember that Kasia is a novice cyclist. These are the first rides she has done outside of any length with couples pedals. And she isn’t confident enough to drink on the bike yet. So she isn’t really confident yet to ride side by side in traffic or on narrow lanes with traffic approaching. Maybe that answers your question Dennis.

Well done Kasia for your rides :-) jealous watching from wet Cumbria. You'll soon be doing a 100k and then a 100miles and then a ............. :-)

Well done to Kasia, great effort 🚴💪
Kasia says thank you. She did do really well. ( And she is dead chuffed today....n+1 strikes again)
From what I can see, no one is acknowledging each other on bike's.
Exactly. 99.9% of riders were not acknowledging each other. I did find that a bit odd at first.
I would go out of my way to say hello so they had to respond there all there for the same reason to enjoy cycling.

Come on it is like a how you doing in UK but nobody exactly interested :D
It's rude.
