Great video. During the mid 2000s, I remember when imported fully assembled VG30DETT long blocks would go for 2k. Instead of rebuilding, it was a very good alternative (back then).
Great episode and I’m from New York and laughed hard when I saw the beginning of this video I’ve read enough complaints in forums about the NY transplant that moved to Georgia 😂
Best video yet! Don’t let jackass work on your Z and never skimp out on parts or this is what happens. Hopefully when you get it running he will fall in love with it again and not sell it!
I have a NA z32 that wont start either, if i can get it started itll be my first car, and im still holding out hope i can get it fixed. Watching videos like this help me atleast get an idea of what could be wrong
check for spark, fuel and compression. you can youtube / google how to check those. and go from there. if all 3 present, start checking for ignition timing / ecu status. could be a bad wire or sensor.
It is a shame that this happens, especially when a young person spends their life savings buying the car. You are a good dude for helping this customer out.
There is going cheap and then there is this. Inexpensive is building your own turbos, buying rebuilt injectors (from a good vendor that will stand behind their work) and using the right OEM parts where they need to be used. This was a hack job. Holy crap.
At 4:45 when you try to crank it, the first time not the second, it makes a weird noise. Mine does the same at random times and mostly at winter if that has anything to do about. Can't figure what it is but sounds bad. Other than that the car runs great, no issues. What could that sound be??
The 3rd one that sounds like it has resistance/insane compression? 1st is a flywheel grind and 2nd seems to crank normal. Sorry I just want to clarify 😆
Dam shame, examples like this are part of the reason the VG gets a bad rep. When I work on any Z32’s I give my clients a parts list to get the job done. The list includes all available Nissan parts. I always tell em if you can”t afford the parts I won’t work on your Z. Good job covering this issue on this video, it happens to often. By the way Caden I still have that project TT I still wanna discuss with you. Don’t know how we can get in touch, I don’t do FB or Insta.
I can shoot an email if you prefer. I'm the same way. Granted I've found a few cheaper gasket alternatives that ill use on personal cars, but its never in no way a recommendation. Get the good oem stuff while its here!
on a oil saoked cylinder 150 psi is bad, oil soaked cylinders should be reaping around 180 on an na and 160-170 on a TT is the motor is heathy. as dry that would make it, 140-165 psi for tt and 155-175 for na
Please tell me who not to buy a car from in GA. I'm looking for one for my 17 year old son. He's wanted a 300 for years, i don't want it to be a let down.
A person/buisness. Feel free to reach out on Instagram or FB via most of my video descriptions. Not here to bash the next guy but rather raise awareness to do a little research before committing to a shop/specialist to service your z. The comments here should tell you his name, and is usually found in the FB groups promoting his "work"
RGS performance sell such a nice solution to the fuel hose across the top of the engine and for a good price. been looking at a ton of parts from them. Also wiring harness is being swapped with the engine in 😅 and my heater core is leaking so dash is coming out :(
I may be a cheapskate, but I'm only a cheapskate so I can afford car parts haha. I would never trust chinesium in any of my cars if it's not an emergency.

Maybe we can turn the page for him🤞
Ur a good dude for helping another car guy out and make it right
Z owners gotta stick together🙏
Looks like that car has "Ben" done for!
Thats a great one😂😂

If its sat for awhile, inspect fuel/tank/lines, and also check out my z32 diagnostic video. It should help get an understanding of most of the basics!
10:43 HEY- WHAT! Is that a gas cap holder? I am jealous! Mine doesn't have that! Is it a magnet, aftermarket, or stock?
It's factory!
Great video! Can't wait to see that Z back on the road! Once it is running properly maybe the owner will change his mind on selling. It looks amazing!
Its definitely a solid chassis!
Hopefully next week🤞
Awesome vid Caden and excited to see more! Your knowledge of these cars are second to none! Thank you for what you do!
Glad we finally get to get your Z back up on the road! Definitely in no rush, but I think it will be wrapped up in a week. 🙂

Thats about how my first one went😅 10 miles and it has rod knock
yeah those egr check valves under plenum are DEF stuck open.
Poor VG.
I know exactly who you are talking about that stays in Waycross.
The infamous one! Stealing trying to direct people away when I see him scheming in the groups.
@@NedacSnosrap he unfriend me from facebook 🤣🤣
Specializing on vg30's is brave.
Ive heard that a time or two haha. They're great when going right.
Not bad to work on with deletes done😆
Nice one bro 👍
🔥
The Ol' Rosen standard 🙄😂
Its wild how many people instantly know🤕
bingo
Good video!!

It doesn't end. The further I look the worse it gets. Shame to be in the community with those standards.
Damn bruh, your client got done dirty... I can almost hear Joseph Joestar screaming "OHHH NOOOOO!"
Whole time the guy did it himself
He's consulted me for about everything and wasn't too eager to touch it so its safe to say it wasn't but would be a plot twist for sure haha.
Know exactly who you’re talking about. Almost took my car to him. Had a bad feeling about it and guess I was right.
Thankfully you had that feeling!!
first time I've seen a direct oil injection plenum, and hopefully the last time!
Same here!!🤞
You really don't like whoever did that guys car before😂😂
I don't like anyone who takes advantage of another🥲
It’s not always a bed of Rosens
😂😂🔥

@@NedacSnosrap I suppose it's the flywheel grind🤔
lol as soon as you said from new york i had it figured out.. good grief..

Hi friend, I like this video you posted, would you be interested in making a review video about built-in car audio or AI interactive screen?
I messaged you back on IG!

Do you thing a cold dry 120 would equate 150 wet? I know it can jump 30 psi on a cold 120 by warming it up but I chalked that up to worn valves
On other motors that is

So did injectors cause this damage or something else
Yes. Bad atomization overheated the valve and it flopped
Happens to often unfortunately
Way too often!
learned a while ago cheap is expensive. buy once cry once. get the quality part first time around
Preach🙏 this is the way
Did you come from Indiana and pick his car up?
He lives about an hour away from me so I worked a tow deal with my pops
Tell us how you really feel 😅
I can't stir the pot im not that guy😂
Who in Georgia are you referring to? I’m in Georgia so I need to know who to stay away from. Is it an individual, or a company?

Props to you for attempting that!! I wouldn't wish that on anyone😅
Heater cores are not fun either. I'll check out the RGS option!
LMFAOOO I KNOW WHO IT IS HAHAHAAHHAAAHAA
Who is it though?
Ben
Not enough people do😥

Absolutely! One thing to maybe make em work a week as a temp fix, but in no way for a permanent install in a car you sell to someone😥
