Another great video thank you two for making it nice toe pinchers coffins from the late 1700's into the 1800's that is probley why that coffin on the far right is in such bad shap with the roof like that the elements will slowly detarerat that lead lined coffin
Hi GV. I do like watching your vids. It is so nice as a slightly early retired person to sit with a cuppa and watch you and Serenity Sue visit the beautiful old graveyards of Ireland. I feel the need to point out though that in England the term "Esquire" is not an indication of any sort of nobility or title (not sure about Ireland) but you seem to indicate that it is. My grandfather who was Irish always put Esq on his letters or business mail but was not a noble person ie not a lord or anything. It was just a sign of respect to call someone Esquire . Likewise a woman who is named as a male on a headstone will be as in the olden times a woman was called her husbands name (probably like when they were called a 'relic' or 'chattel' of their husbands. )Thankfully we've moved on . Still , love your channel and SS . Long may you keep going!!
The amount of Respect and Honor you give these graves is reciprocated from the Spirits and Viewers!!! Much Gratitude and Respect for Sue and Your Efforts . May You. Both be Blessed! And So It Shall Be!!!
Hi GV Steve from England. Lovely entrance to the burials. That mouseallium was like a jigsaw puzzle. Smart Coffins, hope the weather can't get them. Another fantastic entrance to the burials. Release the hounds. Nice video GV much appreciated.
Love your videos. My family immigrated from Dublin (surname Cupit) in 1790; wound up in southwest Mississippi. The look of the land is extremely similar. Please don't stop, brother and sister!
This graveyards entrance is beautiful and the Graves gorgeous. The mausoleum is good and the coffins still look good but if the roof fell in then they won't stay like that.❤❤❤❤
Thanks, GV, for all the hard work you (and Sue) do to show us these old graveyards and all. The history you give behind these graves is also fascinating.
I’m from the US. I love your Chanel. I have Family from Ireland not sure who. I AM SO GLAD TO FIND YOUR CHANEL. It gives me a glimpse IN YOUR BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY AND THE HISTORY OF THE PEOPLE IN THE PAST. THANK YOU FOR DOING WHAT YOU DO BY DOCUMENTING IT!!!!!!!!
Both gate entrances are beautiful, but I really enjoyed the first one. I love Gothic architecture. The coffins are very interesting, things were built to last in those days. Very interesting family history. Great video, thank you very much GV and Sue. Have a great day. 😊
At 30:11 there was a tiny headstone on the left that seemed so out of place amongst all of those big grand ones. I was really hoping you would take a peek at it. The video was great though. Also, your wife seems like someone that would be fun to hang out with, she just has such good vibes about her.
I often wonder with these very old gravestones how did these people live in their day wonder what their lives were like away back then jobs families day to day living . Thank you very much lots love Takecare 💙❤️
What an Awesome entrance to a cemetery. So many tombstones are falling, how sad! Hello Serenity Sue 👋🏻 Looks like an emoji 😄 I thought of a pumpkin too lol Sad under 6 yrs children had passed! Bless their mother. I bet a lot of children passed back then due to the lack of vaccines! It’s really beautiful and green over there ❤ Wow those caskets still holding together after all these years and I saw a rat in there! I thought that was an old castle 1320 it’s old!!! 😮
What a grand entrance! the stonework is brilliant on the headstones the family vault was impressive I bet it cost a lot of money it's a shame the roof fell in. Thank you, GV all the best to you and Sue 👏👏💕💕
The entry gates are so majestic! I hope someone in charge saw tour video and the hole in the roof and will get it fixed. Those coffins were in decent shape for their age, but will deteriorate quickly. Great video!
See that often here in the states people cleaning gravestones and they don’t seem to understand that they are doing more harm than good 😮😬😵💫by defacing the marker
Very interesting grave site and inscriptions. Great entrance gates as well. Thanks to the commenter who provided the additional history this has added to the video nicely. Thanks for this video.
Regarding the double padlocked door to the mausoleum, I can't help wondering if it known who holds the keys and could they be found if any relatives ever wanted to do some maintenance? Hopefully the key holder hasn't faded from memory as well. From what you were able to show us of the coffins, it is a very well made mausoleum.
The entrance was great❤ The face looked like him from the picture you put up and the lady looked like his wife also from the picture. The coffins were in amazing shape. Looks like when they replaced the door the cleaned a bit. Texas is also "wait 5 minutes and the weather will change". Take care❤
Great video as always! I get all of your notifications. I watch as many videos as I can and I "Like" them. I wish more people would hit the "Thumbs up" button. I have two UA-cam accounts (One at work and one at home) I also liked you making fun of the dog barking.
GV , Do you think people throughout the ages have thought these wonderfully carved out stonework headstones would last forever or just past their lifetimes? Every single one of these old headstones within a matter of years will be nothing but powder then dust , These mausoleums .. the same . I myself desire to rip when I go and that’s the leverage for cremation.
I don't think they realised that they would be left left rotten and mausoleums falling apart. At the time they just wanted to go out in style and show the wealth they had.
What a beautiful old graveyard. That stone entry gate is gorgeous! It's nice to see that someone had the decency to replace the mausoleum door. The old one I would suspect is late 1700. Also, when you zoomed in under the door, i didn't see any light casting down from above or and debris on the floor indicating roof collapse.. perhaps they cleaned it up upon door replacement? Or maybe that just a dormer for appearance on top
These two cemeteries are amazing. The first one is so ancient it's spooky. I love the gates and even before you said gothic I said it too. The stonework's are amazing and the stone wall is very old. It must have taken the workers a long time to build them. Many many small stones neatly packed together. I loved the whole video. Than you. We don't see that in America.
Hey G.V. and Sue, that is an Amazing Gothic entrance, it looked like the opening of going into a castle. It's weird that all the castle looking structures were constructed in the 18- 1900's. I Never seen a headstone like the one that you shown with the triangle nose...it was kinda creepy, like dark humor vibes. You both find some Amazing places, Thank You for showing us that can't travel to kinda live adventurously vicarious through You!! I Appreciate You Both!! 🦆🦆 God Bless You Guy's, Brian
Hi GV i think that i have seen this video already but i will watch it again before i go to bed just incase if I missed something it'looks like a 🎃 your right GV thanks for sharing nice to see sue take care both of you wow them coffins look very good condition good fine GV 👍

Those coffins are so beautiful. I can't believe how old they are and in such good condition.
Very grand entrance! 👌 Very nice old coffins. I love how you can zoom in quite close to show us the details.
Always try to get the best footage
@@GraveVisitationsAnd what a great job you do, too.
Not sure how many of these I will watch at any one time, but I love the history so thank you for the time you put in.
Thank you GV. Loved the main entrance and the old coffins. Lots of history and a very pretty place.
DL stands for Deputy Lieutenant. They were deputies to the Lord Lieutenant, who was the monarch’s local representative.
Another great video thank you two for making it nice toe pinchers coffins from the late 1700's into the 1800's that is probley why that coffin on the far right is in such bad shap with the roof like that the elements will slowly detarerat that lead lined coffin
They definitely need to patch up the roof area or more water damage will happen for sure Jamie
Beautiful old graveyards!! The entrances took my breath away! Such detailed stonework!! Thank you for sharing!!❤
Very beautiful entrance
Wow. One gorgeous thing after another. I'm surprised the coffins were still in such good condition. Awesome video!
Thanks toms the one on the right won't last long unless they fix the roof area
Brilliant video Cathal, I definitely wasn't expecting to see my family name on a grave.Mary sillery.. very cool. I may trace her now.

Perhaps they should put the old door over the opening would stave off the damage
They did have some grand ol headstones back in the day.
Both gate entrances are beautiful, but I really enjoyed the first one. I love Gothic architecture. The coffins are very interesting, things were built to last in those days.
Very interesting family history.
Great video, thank you very much GV and Sue. Have a great day. 😊

Another excellent video. Love these old locations. I wish I could come over.

No dumping! But birds cant read, so headstones get covered in bird droppings which leave all the white splodges when they dry out.

David Psalms : We Blow away like dust before the wind and are place remembers us no more.
Eyes shut and eyes open, suggesting the recognition of both worlds of the material and the spiritual.

As to the carvings of the ladies' faces. Was there a tear on the face of the lady whose eyes were closed? Thank you for the beautiful tour. ❤
I like how the family members photo included the dog. 🐶
I noticed that too! Love it!
Glad to be here

How sad that these days we have to put no dumping signs on graves. Shows the level of respect todays generations have 😢
I would have liked to have had a look at that castle you showed in the distance.

Extraordinary beautiful and very old graveyard like King's style
As an Italian now living in the USA, I can say I really miss old stuff everywhere, lol 💔

Great Presentation, excellent description & dictation from the County of Fayette, of the Great State of Georgia, U.S.A. !
