My first car was a 73 four door with brown metallic paint and white vinyl top. A Caprice has a different options package. The Caprice was the one with more options. I got mine in 81 and it was already a rust bucket. I always wanted to get another and do an Overhaulin' type restore but never had the money. I started to do body work. Got the trunk lid sanded down filled in bad spots and primer. Then sold it. Oh well.
Very Nice car!! this is a 4 door sedan. the 4 door hardtop is a more desirable car of the 4 door series due to the fact that when you bring the windows down there is no metal part of the body or post seperating it. its all open. you can get a factory correct Vinyl top in all colors from SMS auto fabrics in Oregon. Pricey, but its the real deal and texture. The correct tires are L78R15 one inch white wall avail at Coker tire, if you want to go original. One of the major issues is the dashboard. Cars of this era , the dash tends to develop cracks. if you want factory original color and texture, the only place i trust is Just Dashes in Van Nuys ca for dashboard restoration. it will look like new!!. Again Pricey but they are the best. These cars are soaring in Value! lots of cars have been altered due to the fact that they have been Donked out. But i know some collectors who have paid in excess of 20k for an original 4 door Caprice Hardtop. It has to be loaded.. power windows, locks, tilt wheel Cruise power steering etc.... kinda like a cadillac, and rust free!!! Of coarse not knocking the Donk, i kinda like the fact that many of these cars have been saved due to the following, but if you have an original unmolested Caprice, Convertible, 2 door and 4 door , your very lucky. These cars are beautiful if taken care of!! and gaining popularity.
The Caprice was fancier than the Impala and the Classic name really didn't mean much... it was just a name plate they added to the Caprice name starting in 1973. Ironically that was also the year they dropped the names of the Chevy wagons (that was Brookwood, Townsman, Kingswood and Kingswood Estate in 1972) simply to Bel-Air, Impala and Caprice Estate wagons starting in 1973.
The difference between a Caprice and Impala is the Caprice was top of the line where the Impala was more a budget car. They're all nice cars and now sought after. The 72 s were better looking
One of the best car was ever made
MAY 24,2021 STILL THE BEST 🚘 EVER MADE.👌🏾👍🏾🤟🏾

when you drove it i did t hear a engine sound.niceeeee
Very beautiful car!
1971 - 1973 are the most sought after one's..
Also by 74 they had the 5 mph bumpers
nice car, the rear end looks very similar to the 1971 Impala's/Caprice's
I Want That!
Caprice Classic was the top of line model the Impala was middle of the road model and the Bel Aire was the budget rental and fleet vehicle...
It's the coupes and ragtops that are generally tricked out all the time, and not so much the sedans and wagons!
I took my driving test in this car in 1979. I had to parallel park it too, i passed.
rare as fuckin hell
true donk man
nice car
nice car, how much power does your Caprice have? My mother's old friend used to own a '74 Caprice Classic, it's a white 4 door with red interior

I have a 1972 Kingswood Estate, which is the Caprice trim level wagon.
