So Sweet to have them there without a crowd! Time for a Test Drive! Even the “Stripped Down” ZO6 looked FANTASTIC! Fred: I’ll take the one you Pass On taking! Interesting on the Understated Presence of the ZO6 hiding in plain site between the other cars. They are Sold Units, Correct? Rhetorical Question of course………. 😂 Although I’m surprised MacMulkin has been lagging behind other dealerships in allocations🤔 Being the #1 Seller in ZO6 Units, I thought they would have a vast number of Customer Units or perhaps even Dealer Stock Units through their dealership. I believe I heard some dealerships got a leg up on the competition by ordering a lot of 3LZ Sold Stock Units and that put them ahead of other dealerships by “Playing That GM Game” knowing even at the Higher MSRP of 3LZ Units, they would be able to sell the vehicle and have a higher profit margin on each car.🤔 Enjoy your upcoming frequent trips to the MacMulkin dealership to see all the ZO6 Eye Candy. Take plenty of pictures. Soon you’ll have enough for a deck of cars/cards! 😊
Thanks to you I was able to get on the list for a ZO6 and was lucky # 1985 coincidently the year I graduated from high schools! But due all the negativity I gave up on the opportunity to have one and asked for my deposit back 😢 kicking myself now but a the time it seemed a smart move! That’s where I ordered and got my ‘19 ZR1, great dealership. Love how the family scatters some of their old car collection on the corvette floors. Best corvette dealership in my opinion. Any place that has 2 floors of just corvettes and a car collection mixed in is awesome. Gained a new sub Fred!
Hi G Smith! Thanks for reaching out, and thanks for the sub! Agreed, when I bought my C7 GS there in 2017, we got a tour of the 3rd floor and saw several of the older classic cars up there. You can tell that Tommy (one of the owners) really loves cars. I feel fortunate to live so close! Congrats on the ZR1 btw, fantastic car, the power must be unbelievable! If I had one of those in manual, I don't think I'd want the new Z06! lol Have a nice day, and thanks for dropping by! -Fred
Fred this was helpful. I’m in the mid 1600s at MacMulkin. In a couple years when I’m in the 500s, I’ll drive the 800 miles to see some of the cars in person. It seems like the in person impression can make an impact, particularly on wheels and interior.
Glad it was helpful William! I found it very helpful to see them in person, and honestly it even made me rethink a few of the other options I've been considering. I figure not many people have had a chance to see them in person, and with so many different possible specs and combinations, the more out there the better! Have a nice day! -Fred
Another fine video, Fred. The black one was a candidate build of mine as well. Now contemplating alternatives. Thanks for the channel and looking forward to next week.
I'm jealous. I would love to see in person. I'm in CT so may be worth a drive. My 2 previous vettes, C6 and C7 were both black but I agree with you 100%. Also, black is VERY difficult to keep clean. That grey looked amazing!!! Thanks for sharing.
Maybe the owner of the black on black kept it simple because they may add their own upgrades later. My neighbor did that to his house. He wanted no factory upgrades, so he can do it himself how he wanted, great video
That's a good point, especially as I've seen some aftermarket companies starting to release Aero and other performance bits for the Z06 already. Thanks for the kind words too! Have a nice day! -Fred
Hey Fred and everyone. Love the videos as always. I am a repeat customer at MacMulkin and they are great. My Z06 is sitting at 3000 status(who knows for how long?!!) Torch Red, 3LZ Coupe!!!!
Chevy needs a matte finish carbon.l interior options. The glossy carbon reflects too much light and will get fingerprints etc. much easier. The 70th Anniversary Carbon Flash black looks epic in person, but the regular black is easier to confuse with the Stingray to the novice eye. Can’t wait to see your Spec when you get it!
Well done, Fred! I wish I had known they were there. I live just five minutes or so from MacMulkin. I am anxiously awaiting my turn to order my Z06 but it's going to be a while.
Awww...Yeah... It's Fredday Again...ha ha ha! Fred, Another great episode my friend! I 100% agree with your take on the murdered out Z06 track spec car! Something was definitely lost in all the black no-contrast color theme. Originally, I was a huge fan of the Hypersonic Gray color until seeing it in person. The color is nice, but in the sunlight you get a lot of greenish hue's that I didn't care for! Currently, I'm debating what I will do with my C8 allocation. As luck would have it, my allocation will fall around the transition from the 23 to 24 model year! With that said, I'm kinda excited about the 3 new color options. Since I will be attending the NCM Bash this year, I will be able to see the new colors and E-Rays in person! This should help me choose to build a 70th Anniversary Edition C8 or go new color choices 24 model!? 🤔 Decision's... decision's 💭 May you and your family have a wonderful Christmas 🎄⛄ Holiday Fred! -Shane
I would say that the biggest reason the black on black car didn’t stand out was because it had the low wing. To me, the high wing is the biggest distinguishing feature of the Z06. Even though I would rarely track the car, I would get the Z07 package on the Z06 simply because if I am paying for a Z06, I would want everyone to know it!
Makes sense, and that's what I was getting at by saying different things stand out to different people. I prefer the low wing (and love how it looks), but honestly the trim all blending in with the bodywork just made it hard to see any of the detail, especially from further away. But agreed completely that if I go to the effort to spend the money to buy one, I want it to stand out, however I am able to do it! Have a nice day Daniel! -Fred
Another great session Fred. I had the great opportunity to take the factory tour and see about 10 Z06's assembled or being built - including the LT6 powertrain being mated to the body! It was a great experience. Interesting note about Black on this car, the tour guide indicated that it had fallen out of the top 3 colors - where it typically resided on prior generations. Perhaps many made the same observation you did that the other colors bring out the lines of the C8 more distinctly.
Hey Fred...Gee...I would think that if you had talked to a sales guy, mentioned that you have a UA-cam Channel, specialize in talk of the Z06 and are on their waiting list, that they would have let you carefully take a couple photos of even a sold customers car inside. Anyhow...I would have put black exhausts on that black car to finish the job. However, if I was to order a black car, it would be with machine faced wheels, chrome exhausts and badges. I am really surprised he did not go for the optional front splitter. I would have to have that for appearance. I would not likely order the Z07 option but am inclined to think that will only add to the desirability of these cars down the road for the full option status/look. Anxious to see one in Carbon Flash went those happen. I think I'll be cringing to see a Cacti...ugg. Have you seen the red/red Z06 low spoiler car offered at a huge markup by Volo car sales? Looks impressive particularly if you like to see RED. I feel real fortunate to have had the chance to spend a lot of time looking at the EX yellow Z07 (that Leno featured) while it was a Chevy dealer less than an hour from me. Remarkable that not so many people were there on that second day. Got to sit in it for maybe 5 minutes with no one waiting for me to get out. It did have the carbon 2 interior which I have decided I would want. I hope the Red Mist will still be available (and not replaced by Angelyne Pink) by the time I can order a car. : ) I wonder how many Z06's MM has gotten so far. I hope they are on a roll. I’m not tracking much so no need for Z07 for me. The dive plains also look too big and not aesthetically flowing with the front, But I love the Z07 wing and am torn. I guess I’ll wait for an ACS wing, but on a car that’ll be a collector car in 20 years I’d really like to keep it stock. I’m 160’s at Ciocca, so without Z07 should get car next year. Still have plenty of time to debate every option decision I have. Good video Fred. I also changed my mind on the carbon fiber, that first scratch in a highly visible dash area will get me so upset. So leather for me also.
My Z has the red interior with the level 2 carbon interior package and it really looks high end but to agree that scratches will show in time . For my Centre console I am going to put Xpel self healing film on it Great video, Merry Christmas.

Settled in on a color yet? My order went in with torch red but it’s not allocated yet. Can’t decide on the hypersonic gray or red mist also. Hypersonic gray was my first choice on the HTC until I saw a coupe in torch red. Hard to decide. Thoughts? Some people say the gray has depth and bronze into it. Can’t find one to see.
Hi HighPeaks! I'm between Orange or what would have been Elkhart Lake Blue Metallic. Since that'll be discontinued for next year, and I'm likely a year behind that, I will probably swap that in consideration for another shade of metallic blue. Hypersonic Gray is a great looking color in person . The video is fairly true to life for how it looks. I really liked it in person, the configurator doesn't do any justice to the depth of color. Personally I tend to like metallic colors or tri-coat colors best, because they have a bit more depth, and look a bit more "special" to me. But everyone's taste is different. You can't really go wrong TBH, though I haven't seen the brown one in person yet lol! Have a nice day! -Fred

Hi Paul, Yeah, there was an allocation 2 weeks or so ago for MacMulkin of 45 new orders. I loved seeing a big drop in my spot in line! Have a nice day, nice to hear from you! -Fred
Great video Fred..! Just wanted to reply (did you delete us..?), and clarify my comments to the other viewer's comments about the Cup 2 R's wearing out to quickly here. Yes, been doing track day events for a little over 10 years now so I have some decent hands-on experience here on this topic (I go to Road America and Autobahn Country Club, and a few other tracks now, every year). ;-) And if you can afford this car ($160k to $180k + with taxes, title, license, fees - out the door), then you can certainly afford to change the tires 3-4 times a year for track day events. These Z06 Cup 2 R's are going for about $2,500 a set at tire rack right now. And I have been using the Supercar 3R's (like Austin uses on his McLaren - and they run around $2k a set for the C8 SR) which is another fantastic R compound track tire very similar to the Cup 2 R's - using them now on my 2020 SR Z51 car; I can easily get 4-5 track day events on one set before they fall off completely here. I also had the 3R's on my 2018 ZL1 1LE and had the same track day wear experience here. Also, I had Cup 2's (the non-R's and my buddy had the Cup 2 R's on his 2019 GT3 RS and he had about the same experience too as my 3R's on wear) for track days on my 2012 BOSS 302, and about the same experience as well. All I am saying here is that only serous track day people (serious meaning - they track their cars 1-3 times a month and not 1-3 times a year here...) should be buying the track-focused Z07 package for this car. And again, if you can afford a Z07 car then you can afford to replace the the tires, brakes, fluid's, etc. often then. I was not trying to be rude to you about the fuel mileage comment, I was just trying to point out that I see a lot of people complaining about fuel mileage on expensive sports cars like the Corvette, and I was trying to make a simple comparison of someone buying a 1LE or a Z07 track focused car and then they are complaining that the track focused cars R compound tires wear out to quickly here, doesn't make sense to complaining about this, because it's just like complaining about the bad fuel mileage on expensive sports cars. I'm sure you know this old sane --- "you have to pay - to play...!" --- on the street or especially on the track. 🙂
Hi Kevin, I don't recall deleting a comment from you. The only stuff I delete is either rude, disrespectful, or untrue comments. Usually I just block the poster as well (I don't have the time or desire to deal with that stuff). Maybe it didn't post before? Agreed on your points about tires and fuel economy. Have a nice day!

Hey Fred how are you to really know that Mcculkin is selling at msrp?I have my z06 i am getting in thiss second round and is in 3000 status. I have contacted many dealers and buy alot of cars here in az.Every dealer i have contacted has 2 lists. One for msrp if you wait 2-3 years and over msrp.People on the list where i bought dont even know they keep getting pushed down even farther. Im just saying.
Hi Green Rush, Valid question. I asked them point blank when I put in my reservation, if they sell over MSRP. There was no mention of 2 lists, nor have I ever heard mention. That, in addition to they have built a very solid reputation of being an MSRP only dealer. I have not heard of even a single example over the years of that being the case, starting back 6 years ago when I first worked with them to buy my 2017 C7 GS. I covered it pretty extensively a year ago when I put my reservation in, forget which video, but I compared Ciocca and MacMulkin. I understand the skepticism, as not many dealerships are like that, but they aren't. Having known several people who got their Z06's recently (or are about to get), they all are at MSRP as well. Sure the wait *now* is multi-year, but the people who are getting them now got on the list years ago. It's a first come first serve line, and some people had the foresight to get on the list years ago, I wish I had. Have a nice day!
Love the understated sleeker black on black Z06 HtC as it ever so slightly silences the numerous contrasting accents making the vehicle appear sleeker or smoother. Thats one of the mid engine corvette members new car and he is driving a long distance across the country. Color is always a personal preference. Lets just say the black looks sleeker and more menacing. Btw How did the comp seats in performance textile look or were they were leather ? Those competition seats should be in performance textile if I remember correctly
Totally agree that color is a personal preference! That's why I caveated that section that it was just my opinion (nothing more). I couldn't honestly see the seats too well with the glare. From the comp seats I've seen before (from the dealer tour and from other C8's), they look nice/aggressive. The key (to me) though is in how they feel. Solidly bolstered, and (again, to me) they were a bit too restrictive for any car that isn't track only. I personally wouldn't get them, but for someone who does tons of track, I can see them making sense. But I don't think they'd be comfortable for long drives. Have a nice day! -Fred
Black is the ugliest color for any car, especially a Corvette. Why would anybody buy a Corvette and not want anybody to notice that it’s a Corvette? You can’t see any of the lines when it is all black. if you were to put an all black Corvette next to an all black Toyota Camry, from more than 10 yards away, you couldn’t tell the difference between the two. Corvettes should be loud. To wit: My Rapid Blue fully optioned, fully packaged 3LT was built last week and I’m picking it up at the museum in two weeks. 😎
I agree, that would at least add a bit of depth. By no means did it look bad, and if I was given one, of course I'd love it, it just didn't do it for me. Have a nice day! -Fred
They honor MSRP for new orders. They’re one of very few dealers still doing it right now. This doesn’t apply to cars being sold on the showroom floor, though. Only cars being ordered (which for the z06 means getting yourself on a waitlist by making a deposit, then waiting a long time).
Hi Lamb Dee, One of the cars I showed the window sticker (I forgot on the other one). MSRP for both cars. You may not have heard of MacMulkin, but all new ordered cars through them are MSRP. It's pretty well known, and has been that way for a long time, since at least back in 2017 when I got my C7 GS (actually, bought it from them for 13% under MSRP, but that's beside the point). You don't have to believe me, but I don't clickbait, and I fact check everything I state on the channel. Google it, you'll see that they do MSRP for all new cars. Have a nice day, and thanks for reaching out. -Fred
Thanks for the insight John, but I don't live in New Jersey, I live in New Hampshire. Seeing pics online doesn't do justice to seeing them in person, so I wanted to go see them in person. You might as well not buy one either, because other people have already bought them. Or reviewers might as well stop reviewing because the first few reviews are already out...
If you check the background of my last 2 or 3 most recent videos you'll see it. The first one that has it, I talk a bit about it. Yes, from Zanvis neon, I'm really happy with it. Really nice quality, working with them on the design was great/easy, and then from when I signed off on it and placed the order it was at my house in like 10 days or something, pretty fast for full custom. -Fred

Not as of yet, though I don't think we'll see any "year" numbers, since allocations are basically every 2 weeks from the plant.
Does the paper bag hanging on the wall say “pig deal, pig Latin” also, what’s with the chopped up 2X4s?
So only two dealership that's really for the customer that truly wants to make great experience and not trying to screwed us with shady and unnecessary price gouging. Thats a sad thought out of the hundreds of dealership that represent GM
What were the two Z06’s selling for?
I don't know if you've checked your place in line at mcmalkin but I noticed this weekend that my number had dropped by a little over 40 places
Hi Paul,
Yeah, there was an allocation 2 weeks or so ago for MacMulkin of 45 new orders. I loved seeing a big drop in my spot in line!
Have a nice day, nice to hear from you!

Hi Kevin,
I don't recall deleting a comment from you. The only stuff I delete is either rude, disrespectful, or untrue comments. Usually I just block the poster as well (I don't have the time or desire to deal with that stuff). Maybe it didn't post before?
Agreed on your points about tires and fuel economy.
Have a nice day!
@@FredsFullThrottle okay, well I guess YT had some issues yesterday then, because I know posted my comments becasue another viewier and I were replying to the same comment thread, but then it just disappeard all the sudden here..? Anyways, thank you for your reponse and letting me know you did not delete it, and for your agreement on my points as well here. And of course, Merry Christmas Fred...!!!
Hi Green Rush,
Valid question.

Tell that to HPO with the black C7 ZR1....
Hmmmm, interesting that black is the #1 color for the 2023 z06!?
Very interesting video. I think that would choose the E-Ray over the Z06.
I love the black on black , I think WITH Z07 Rear wing it’d stand out more
I agree, that would at least add a bit of depth. By no means did it look bad, and if I was given one, of course I'd love it, it just didn't do it for me. Have a nice day!

You forgot to talk about the price, you say they sell at msrp, doubt it.
They honor MSRP for new orders. They’re one of very few dealers still doing it right now. This doesn’t apply to cars being sold on the showroom floor, though. Only cars being ordered (which for the z06 means getting yourself on a waitlist by making a deposit, then waiting a long time).
Hi Lamb Dee,
One of the cars I showed the window sticker (I forgot on the other one).

@@FredsFullThrottle good info, thanks fred
Old news Fred
Ciocca had 5 last week
Thanks for the insight John, but I don't live in New Jersey, I live in New Hampshire. Seeing pics online doesn't do justice to seeing them in person, so I wanted to go see them in person. You might as well not buy one either, because other people have already bought them. Or reviewers might as well stop reviewing because the first few reviews are already out...
@john...it wasn't a competition
Where’s your neon sign? Did you really get it from Zanvis neon?
If you check the background of my last 2 or 3 most recent videos you'll see it. The first one that has it, I talk a bit about it. Yes, from Zanvis neon, I'm really happy with it. Really nice quality, working with them on the design was great/easy, and then from when I signed off on it and placed the order it was at my house in like 10 days or something, pretty fast for full custom.
