Thank you, ABBA the greatest group of all time, they were Swedish btw not American
Best band ever
wikipedia says: "Hung Up" is a song by American singer Madonna.....Written and produced by Madonna in collaboration with Stuart Price, "Hung Up" prominently features a sample from the instrumental introduction to ABBA's single "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)", for which Madonna personally sought permission from its songwriters, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. This is one of the few times Andersson and Ulvaeus have given permission to sample one of their songs, following "Rumble in the Jungle" by the Fugees .
ABBA is gold
Yes, ABBA is one of the best bands ever - probably the best popband ever! Interesting to hear you talk the song, and today´s trends Adnan - I agree in what you say!
More ABBA please!! 😍😍😍 SOS, Knowing me, knowing you, Slipping through my fingers, Mamma Mia etc etc /New subscriber (cheers from Sweden) 🙂
My favorite band
Nice to see you for first time with a reaction to ABBA songs
"Gimme gimme gimme (a man after midnight)" (1979)
is a song influenced by American disco,
after the success of the Bee Gees and the movie 'Saturday night fever" from the year before
In this song you can see part of the volume and range of voice that the blonde Agnetha has
ABBA was preparing their 1979 Tour of America and Europe,
in the previous one , They recorded this song and filmed the official video
These is an official video in which all ABBA is seen in the recording studio,
including staff musicians (bass, guitarist and drummer)
and sound engineer Michel Tretow at the controls,
creator of the well-known 'ABBA sound' with his innovative 'wall of sound' multiplication technique
(an adaptation of the works of Phill Spector)
These is a short versión
in last months ABBA did these new official lyric video of
"Gimme gimme gimme" full versión
with an instrumental bridge
The introduction and the instrumental ending,
that characteristic sound of Benny's keyboards,
is what Madonna used for her worlwide hit
"Hung Up" in 2005, 26 years later...
(with the permission of the composers Björn and Benny,
granting them share the credits)
Surely for the latter, with almost 500 million views,
the original video with the shorts versión is the second official ABBA video
with the most views on UA-cam
(behind "Dancing Queen", which has almost 900 million views)
and 600 millon views on Spotify too
and also for this last reason, surely
"Gimme gimme gimme (a man after midnight)"
is much more popular now than in its time
when it was released it was #3 in the UK, it wasn't even released in the US
now also a centerpiece at the new ABBA Voyage concerts in London
Another interesting date is that these is one of songs tgat ABBA recorded in spanish:
"Dame Dame Dame" (1980) and ABBA performed it in an interview to Spanish TV
Thank you again for these video
I hope to see you with more ABBA songs
One sugestión could be
"Mamma Mia" (1975/1976)
another iconic song
My best regards from
Buenos Aires , Argentina 🇦🇷
South America
Björn and Benny said yes to use the musik in 'Hung up'
Love abba💚💚💚☘️☘️☘️☘️more abba please adnan💚
I am so glad that you have discoverd this music. Thank you ❤
Best band ever and I was born in 1962 so got to live through the best era's of music. Nice reaction.
I love how natural women looked back then compared to now. What are we doing ladies?💚💚💚💚☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️
Absolutely!
I'm glad as a male you agree💚💚💚💚☘️☘️☘️
@@MartinaNugent-yt8ig yep, nothing more of a turn off to me than a woman plastered up to the eyeballs in makeup like a Barbie doll and tanned to the colour of an orange!
Pretty and sexy without being vulgar and naked and without fake boobs, lips and painted eyebrows!
Just look at Madonna 😢
The blonde lady Agnetha has the ability to add meaning and depth in expressing the lyrics.
I like your reaction a lot. The appreciation you have for this " long ago music" and the way various generations can enjoy it via internet and meet each other is very nice.
One of several timeless hits of them.
❤🅰️🅱️🅱️🅰️
BEST ⭐ POP ⭐ BAND ⭐ EVER!
Please try 'Money money money' 🙏 someday...
Take care, Adnan✌️
Greetings ❤ from Chile 🇨🇱🤗👍
Thank you, friend 🤗🤘❤️🌹
Another great reaction! Love that you recognized the sound at the start right away 😊
ABBA I believe is a Swedish group. Not American.
@@kathyhill6409 yeah abba are a swedish group💚💚☘️☘️☘️
Not a huge Madonna fan but she sampled the synth in “Hung Up” and there’s a great duet she did at the Grammys with the Gorillaz
Masterpiece ❤
It doesn't quite interpret from context. She's not suffering medical depression. She's sad that she doesn't have a partner.
You apparently live in a land of lies...if you are a musician you should know the song😂
What can i say? May be a metal head but you cant not love a bit of Abba. And all their songs are just as good. Consistency is hard but this band have always managed it perfectly.
My personal faves are 'does your mother know' and 'i have a dream'. But they are all great, frankly.
Anyone who says they are not a fan doesnt know what they are missing.
Dear Adnam, being a teenager in the 60's.(.70'sand 80's) was awesome...There were so many genres.....Love your reactions!.....I have so many thoughts about early music...".Pink Floyd" live in the 70's..were Ahead of their time.!!...and "PRIVATE INVESTIGATION"...Dire Straits....LOWKEY THE Rapper...".FREE PALESTINE"❤❤❤
Thank you for cheering me up...😅
Glad you enjoyed it
