  • Surviving «Tornado» Blizzard Winter Storm in a van! Heavy Snowstorm Winter Camping. Surviving the most Severe Blizzard of my Life. Winter Van Life Camping in Extreme Snow Storm & Hurricane. This was the worst blizzard I ever experienced in the van, Should have had a truck for this. The winds where up to hurricane force, and even though I was hunkered down and camped in between buildings, it was nearly tearing my van to shreds. I got a lot of trouble with snow leaking into the seams and joints of the van, the exhaust for the heater getting clogged up. A lot to handle and crazy extreme blizzard, snow storm and hurricane conditions. It was awesome to film!
I make coffee, talk about my heating system and cook egg and avocado burritos, and I wait for the plow truck to hopefully arrive so I can get out of there.
    Part of the series:
Surviving my First Arctic Winter of Extreme Van Life. Solo in Hurricanes, Blizzards, Snow Storms & Camping in Extreme Cold Freezing Temperatures.
    #vanlife #blizzard #snowstorm #survival #surviving #hurricane
My van is a Fiat Ducato, FWD with Nokian Hakkapalitta studless Winter Tires. This is the same as a Ram Promaster in America - USA and Canada.

Surviving my 2nd Winter of Extreme Van Life, Blizzard, Snow Storm Camping & Freezing Cold which includes:
This is my complete second winter of Winter Van Life in extreme conditions in the North, living in a van during freezing temperatures. Starting in November I go through the whole winter season of snowy winter adventures from November to April, with snow storms, blizzards, extreme cold, extreme snowfall, slippery roads and some amazing winter beauty as well.
I also show you what I learn as I go from my second winter in the van.
About me: I am a Norwegian adventurer and wilderness explorer. My youtube channel focus on outdoor wilderness adventures and exploration, backpacking, hiking, canyoneering, skiing, climbing and mountaineering. Nights spent in a tent, alone or with friends. From the snow covered mountains and misty fjords of Norway and Scandinavia to the remote plateaus of Yellowstone and the debts of the red canyons of Utah to the summit of Mt Whitney and the heart of Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park. I love the Wilderness! Email is under "For business inquiries", for general questions please comment on a video, I try to answer everyone.

Hello, sir. I’m a new subscriber, a 63 year old woman from Georgia where we panic, buy all the bread and milk, and don’t leave home in the rare event that snow (clutch my pearls) is forecast. Not that it is forecast often, or that it 😂actually snows when it is forecast. We are buying that bread and milk and will throw hands over the last gallon or loaf.
Your videos fascinate me and stoke my desire to see REAL snow, DEEP snow, just once in my life. Not that I would get out in it like you do, I would also want to be watching through a picture window in a lodge while sipping a hot toddy.
I’m in awe of you. Thank you for the incredible videos which enable me to travel with you to places I’ll never see.

Thanks for letting us join you for this wonderful event. I love blizzards ! I've fallen asleep 4 times since you started filming this storm. The sounds of blizzards, rain storms and the like are a trip back to my childhood (70 years ago). The only thing missing is the "howling" and "whistling" the sound the wind would make in the eaves of our house on a hill next to the lake in Northern Wisconsin. Loads of fun. My brother Bill and I would go outside and "play" in these storms. We'd have on so much warm clothes we could hardly walk. Or I should say "waddle" ??!!
Thankyou so much for this episode.

    👋Hey there Norwegian Xplorer,
This was just brilliant, absolutely brilliant from start to finish!
The wild weather literally takes your breath away! lol I did experience this whilst visiting Norge during Winter this year. But, although super chilly for us, it was AMAZING!! And this was the exact reason, that we chose to visit during Winter, as we really wanted that wild Winter experience in the Northern Hemisphere.
I personally believe, that (if @ all possible) everyone should experience this even "once" in their lifetime. For us personally, it's been a truly unforgettable experience.
Tusen takk for putting all of these super videos together & for sharing your wee travel adventures across Norge & other Northern regions with we viewers.
    Here's wishing you well.
    Peace✌

Those space heaters are surprisingly good, when used properly, in a small space.
Someone got me one for a Christmas present; at first I was skeptical. But it kept the room that I was in warm, costing surprisingly little.
At first I had heard so much bad about them. But once you know how to use them, it’s easy.

What a contrast ! An idyllic skiing-party with friends vs. the nightmare of being stuck because of an extreme severe snowstorm and hurrycane. 1,5 m snow ! Not fun ! In your red tent that would be a catastrophy ! Strong black coffee makes it all more do-able, in spite of the initiallly freezing temperatures in the van. What a tasty avocado-wrap ! I also always admire your extended anorak-garderobe which keeps you as warm as possible when you go out, not only for testing the snow, ❄ but also to make a film, in that everlasting blizzard, in order to let us participate at your adventure. And with all that, you keep cool and.... smiling ! I admire your inner strenght ! Fantastic ! 😆

Jarl, how do you experience cold? To me, warmth is something that is radiant and stimulating, but I'm not exactly sure what cold is. Is it merely a lack of warmth which is painful for our body to experience, and at a point, not supportive of human life? I guess at a certain point too much heat is the same, (ie., not supportive of human life).
Anyway, your video adventures are something extremely rare to be found in this world. Amazing! Take care!

May I ask why not stay n one of those cabins ? N another question I’ve been wanting to ask is how do u ski upward without sliding backwards ? Clearly I’ve never skied b4.
I hope the Grey Warrior pulled through that one bless it. It’s been taking some serious severe hits lately with so many weather conditions. But I keep to prayer that u both remain n safety n healthy.
I so enjoy our times with our friend. Ur as amazing as these weather days Jarl. Thank u for letting us tag along n these adventures !!!
