We didn’t love Saxon for my older kids BUT the kindergarten was exactly what my daughter with special needs needed. She needed the large amounts of repetition. We may use it again with our littles and that’s one of the things I love about homeschooling is we can pick the right curriculum for each kid
Thanks for the flip through! Always nice to see other curriculum. We use Horizons for K math right now and just hit the half way mark on our curriculum for the year! I like how they include the calendar in the book!
It’s so interesting seeing all of the different math choices. Right now both of my math age boys are using the same curriculum and I’m blessed, I feel like it could be where I end up teaching math 3 or 4 different ways depending on what works best for each kiddo
Love saxon math! I used it as a kid and teen. It was the best. When I went to public school, my mom and I were shocked how poorly written all my math books were. They did stuff in backwards ways and the teachers would pick and choose the hw problems. I love the spiraling method that saxon does.
@@RussellsLovingLife thank you very much. Is there a workbook for Kindergarten? I don’t see it on the website. I just see the teacher’s Manual and the meeting book. Do you happened to have a link for those? Thank you 🙏
@@olgak7707 I'm so sorry, I was getting Kindergarten and 1st grade confused. With the Kindergarten all you get is the teacher's manual and the meeting book. The worksheets that you need are in the meeting book and the back of the teacher's manual. Here is a link www.rainbowresource.com/product/018398/Saxon-Math-K-Homeschool-KIT.html?
@@RussellsLovingLife thank you so much. So I will need the meeting book for Kindergarten so my kiddo can have practice pages? Sorry for so many questions but this one is little confusing.
Each child is different for math. Some are more hands-on, and others need color, but whatever works for each child is what's best for them. Saxon does have a lot of repetition, which is good for some kids but overkill for others.
Hi! I have few questions. I’m considering homeschooling. I’m clueless how to start, how many subjects I should teach? How many subjects I should teach a day? For how long a day I should be teaching? Each lesson a day, week, month? And where can I buy the books? My daughter is 4 1/2 she should be starting TK. Can anyone help me answer my questions please. I will truly appreciated. Thanks!
I'm glad you asked. As a first time homeschooling parent it can all be overwhelming. We have all been there done that. Here are 3 blog post that will answer some of your questions. The first link tells you what you need to know about starting homeschool. Post 2 is a curriculum that I have used for years. Post 3 answers some questions that you may have. This seems like the absolute cheapest material?! It's not even in color. Homeschooling seems ultra expensive. So many additional manips, absurd printing costs for EVERYTHING.
This curriculum is really not expensive. I love it! There is nothing to print in this curriculum. You do not have to buy the expensive manipulatives. You can use things you have around the house or even this from the Dollar store.
They recommend Singapore math and you buy it through their site, but it is not part of their boxed Curriculum because of the different grades and levels of each child.
I love how everything is laid out to make it easier on the parent/teacher. That makes all the difference! 😊
Me too. 😊
Emily L Terry do you all do saxton math too ?

Yes, it is not a one size fits all when you #homeschool. 😊
I know a lot of kids that benefit from Saxon Math. It is for sure a very thorough math curriculum!
We love it!😊
Great look into Saxon! Thanks for sharing!
Glad I could share. 😊
We are loving Saxon with my oldest. I still haven't decided yet what to use with my youngest group of kiddos yet.
We love Saxon. It works great for us. 😊

We love this curriculum. Bailey started it in 2nd grade and we are still using it for him. Saxon works great for our family. 😊
We love that Saxon, spiral approach. I’m never left wondering if they actually got a concept!
We love it too!😊

I have heard many great things about saxon math. Thanks for the overview
Thanks for watching. We love it. 😊
wow nice to know what kids should learn when they kindergarten! hope you hop by and read with us today!
Thanks!😊
Love Saxon. We used it for many years!
Same here. 😊
Repetition is a must for kids!
Yes! 😊
Thanks so much for such a thorough flip-through. Is there a separate book for “independent practice” type work?
These is not for the kindergarten. There are some extra pages in the back of the book to go along with some of the lessons.
Do you really need the 2 books or the meeting book is not necessary? I appreciate your input I am trying to buy them use. Thank you.
You have to have the teacher's manual and the workbooks. You can do it without the meeting book, but the others are a must. I hope this helps.

Saxon K is super easy to use!

Great review & run though! I haven’t heard of this one.
Thanks. 😊

Good flip through! Does Bekah like it?
She loves it. I'll be posting a Join us for Lesson 1 Monday.
This is a great review!!
Thanks!

Hi. What is the third book for? I don’t have that one..
There are one 2 books. The one in the top is the box it came in. 😊 I just put it in there for the picture.
Russells Loving Life oohhh lol ok thanks 😊
Are only 2 books? Any practice book? Only the teachers book?
There are 2 workbooks in the box. The teacher's manual is the spiral book and the little book is a meeting book/workbook
#love you guys.
Thanks you!
