I don't think I have ever seen so many EUCS in one spot before, what a treat, that is a whole bunch of Hulk Green Paint and they are having waaay to much fun.😁
Several years ago I had an opportunity to ride on a TC-12, even though I had no hearing protection with me. After the second pass I hollered to the operator to stop and let me off. It took me three days before my hearing returned to normal. Now, even with moderate hearing loss, I still love those "screamin' jimmies".
Awesome video got to run a TS14 AND TS24 IN my 45 years as Operating Engineer loved it best job ever 😀 👍also equipment looks awesome like it just came off assembly line
Live the Terex stuff. Nobody made anything quite as unique as they did. I wish the green machines were still manufactured. The 1st one I ever saw was in Juneau, Alaska in 1974. It was a 72-31 front end loader. What a beautiful machine. Even at the age of 9, I was impressed!
In the 60’s when Wisconsin, USA was building Interstate 94, I saw dozens of Terex equipment of all kinds for miles n miles…Terex was everywhere! As a boy, it was impressive to witness!
Wheels At Wanaka was awesome this year, can't wait for the next one in 2025! My fav had to be the Euclid TC12 crawler with the twin 6V71's. I missed seeing the Baker Construction dump truck, what a machine that is! Nice video man
It’s every two years. Next one is in ‘25. All that entertainment and it only costs $15 per head. I spent 3 days there and still missed some stuff. I did a video in 2021 as well. Great show.
I think that was a 12V Detroit. It sounded awesome in the flesh. Next time I go there I’ll try and get a better recording setup. I was only using my phone.
The 82.80 dozer looked and sounded spot on. I'll bet they we're a pig to work on! I worked for Blackwood Hodge in the UK for over 20 years and loved the Terex equipment. Was that an S6 the truck front pulling a bottom dump?
On a dozer the best way to get a nice smooth spread/push is to just keep the blade as full as possible along with min blade corrections to avoid a wavy type pass. These operators sure know that one eh.
Sure not knowing the sound of the big Detroit engines. They kept me collecting a pay cheque for many a year. Most engine failures were from breaks/cracks between the liners intake ports. One day they just start spewing all the crank case oil out in just a couple minutes that tell the story of hot shut downs by not caring operators. 10 min is usually all they need to avoid the situation.

@@TomokosEnterprize I’m not at retirement yet. Self employed, so no retirement for me, just keep leaning forward I guess :-). I do pest control work (possums, pigs, rabbits, hares, deer).

I don’t know how those old boys rode those things day in and day out…. What a great way to go deaf tho ;-)
Great to hear a full orchestra of Detroit Diesels.
Thanks and greetings from Matamata New Zealand
Glad you enjoyed it!
But as strong as ad7 rd8

This characteristic sound of the engine is incomparable to anything else
Awesome video mate, love those Detroits.
I love the old Euclids, I grow up with LD Collis working the open cast mines in Ohai NZ.

Great post. Takes me back to being a young fella. With a bunch of leaky old Detroit diesels on site it will look like it's paved eh, LOL.
Wooow! Thanks for uploading
Great! Treasures! 👍👏👏👏💪
Glad u enjoyed. Cheers.
Nothing like the growl of a Detroit engine!
God thats so bad ass! Hearing those massive v16s scream is heaven

If this is an annual event, I would love to be there next year. Nothing sounds like an old Detroit Two-Stroke. Thank you for sharing!!!

Wow! Excellent 👍
That Baker Construction haul truck at the beginning is the best sounding rig in the show. 12V92T? Incredible.

I’ve never heard of baker before

SCREAMIN' JIMMY
If only half those guys knew what they were doing!!
Its a demo they're not actually building anything so they're not trying to be efficient
I might agree with you.
Muito lindo e possível fazer parte dessa empresa?

Did you used to rebuild that sort of stuff?

Yes, I’m from New Zealand. Got a uncle and Aunty in Canada. Toronto and Vancouver island. I’ve never been over, looks like a great place.
Which type is the scaper tractor? Usualy seen with belly dump trailer. Great video! Thanks from France
Not sure
Those old Detroit diesel were loud. But sounds great. Known as the 2 stroke jimmy
When earthmoving was Green
Ha ha, yep.
Bakers were from Cambridge in the North Island so it must be old footage taken early or mid 70s
No, 2023 at Wanaka alright, it's the old Bakers gear, owned by C & R Devlopments ( the Ross Brothers who used to own Bakers anyway )
Magnifique ! dommage que cela soit tres loin de France
Only a airline ticket away 😊
Gitta be the loudest jobsite left in north america!
It’s in Wanaka, New Zealand. But she’s noisy alright. 😊
Terex, great operator starter equipment. Not enuff power or speed to screw things up before lunch.
Mehr Lärm als Leistung!!!!
