At the end of the 40 minutes of baking, instead of brushing oil onto the tops of the thighs, I just simply turn them over and slide them around in the oil that's on the bottom, then flip them over again and put them under the broiler for 2-3 minutes. Works just as well. And yes, crispy skin, tasty meat!!

You could also pan fry the thighs on high for 30-45 sec on each side to get it pretty crispy and then toss in the oven for about 25-30 min. Just make sure you only put salt on the chicken when you pan fry it because the pan will burn your seasonings most of the time. Toss the seasonings on right before it goes in the oven

@@cheryllebalacanao7221 yes, salt first since other seasonings burn quickly. Just salt it a bit and panfry on high till its a golden color (it will still be raw on the inside) then once the color looks good you can put on other seasonings and put it into the oven to finish cooking it. That way it seals in the juices to keep it moist

This recipe time is terrible, don’t follow it you will end up with burnt and overcooked chicken. I tried it myself. Cooking it at 400 for 30 min or 450 for 20-25 min is enough to get the crispy skin. I was so disappointed following her time and getting burnt chicken.

Are you using a convection oven by chance? As noted in the recipe, cooking time is also dependent on the size of your chicken thighs as they do grow in different sizes.

Stovetop, how long do you need to cook both sides for?

@@rj-izzard it all depends on your stove. Mines electrical, and I usually use a metal pan. So I cook them on medium/high heat for a good while! Like 30 minutes total, for that juicy but crispy outside! And they pretty much looked like hers.

I demand that "crispin" be added to every dictionary in America. Why? Because "crispin" is cool man! I plan to follow this recipe in few minutes actually and I shall be sure that my skin is crispined by the olive oil. (no I am not kidding). I love this woman. She is the best! (by the way "cripin" is in the dictionary already. I just checked.
