"Don't worry about being perfect" as she scientifically sprinkles the spices on like an engineer.😂
Ikr lol!
@Dee Charles normally? Like in a vat of lard?
And real talk it was MY Scottish ancestors that invented fried chicken. Then MY Irish ancestors brought the recipe tio America💯💯💯
@Dee Charles how do you cook chicken ? Put your recipe out here maybe I'll give it a try
@Dee Charles Elaborate please? What do you mean ‘’normally’’? This is normal? This is HER way.
You made me laugh 😆
Just used this recipe today for thighs and legs. OUTSTANDING! The seasonings were perfect, and chicken moist. My significant other said to throw away all other chicken recipes. This is a keeper. Thank you💗
Great job!
I am All here for the “Crispen” 🥰
This is now my favorite way to cook chicken thighs. Wow. I did mine with a spice rub and no oil. Cut off excess fat. 450 degrees for 35 minutes. Perfection ❤
I wouldn’t remove the extra skin, that’s where the crunch is at. Seasoning looks good 👍
Facts love the skin.
Thank You...! I appreciate your straightforward keep-it-simple approach to help cook dishes at Home, with ingredients we can easily find. Over at Bon Appe-bungle they would have turned this into a 30 minute video, with ingredients we couldn't pronounce, let alone find.
Haha! Happy you like the video (: I try to make them as easy as possible to follow
I’ve made this 4 times now and it keeps tasting better and better! Thank you for sharing this recipe.
My pleasure 😊
do you flip it?
@@mindbodyandsoul81 There's no need to flip it. It will cook through as is.
BUMPY JOHNSON Nope! I follow the video exactly as is.
At the end of the 40 minutes of baking, instead of brushing oil onto the tops of the thighs, I just simply turn them over and slide them around in the oil that's on the bottom, then flip them over again and put them under the broiler for 2-3 minutes. Works just as well. And yes, crispy skin, tasty meat!!
THIS RECIPE SHOULD BE IN EVERYONE'S RECOMMENDATIONS!
I appreciate your advice "Stay at Home Chef". God bless you abundantly.
Made this tonight and it was delicious!! Everyone enjoyed it, even my 2 year old!
Fantastic!
I recommend u seasoning the chicken in a bowl and then sprinkle ur mixture on top
👏🏿
I also recommend washing the chicken and at least soke amount of marinateing. This can't taste good
@@josh6979 i agree
Super simple way... How true. The chicken was moist and the flavors of the combined spices really added a lot. Thank you for another great dish.
I actually had all the ingredients needed! Turned out great.
I've been watching your channel for a little while now and I just have to declare that I really like your style, uncomplicate approach and professional presentation. Well done and I will continue to enjoy.
I agree
It seems fake and scripted lmao if thats what u like
@@Mariekr49 Oh my - a troll - what a surprise.
I made this tonight. My only mistake was not paying too close attention to the broiler and after two minutes, the rub was a little burned. But the meat was moist and delicious. I will definitely do this again!
Smoke detectors didn’t like this recipe.
LOL “crispen” is okay! Mine came up great as well. Thanks!
“ KRISPIN”
Love it
Same😂💙
I made this dish just now and it smells and looks excellent, and tastes even better.
Just made this recipe.... wowee. So good. Thank you it's basically PERFECT.
Made it for dinner. Delicious. My 11 year old picky eater loved it. Thanks
I am so glad I found you on UA-cam! Your recipe are the easiest to follow and I already have everything on hand your recipes call for. We had this tonight with your glazed carrots ❤️

Winner, winner chicken dinner. I have to run out and get some chicken thighs for supper tonight. Thanks and take care.
Let me know how you like it!
Our groceries have empty shelves too. Your right it is just crazy.
@@stevejanka361 How was it?
@@seltaro They are delicious. I have modified the recipe several times. It just keeps getting better.
I just made these and they turned out perfect! Crispy on the outside and just yummy! Thanks for sharing
At this time I didn't have garlic powder and onion powder, I replaced that with Italian seasoning. Results Delicious oven-baked chicken thighs
This is the perfect combination of spices for delicious chicken, this was a hit at my house 😋
😋
Perfect. We love chicken thighs.
Then this is the recipe for you (:
These were DELICIOUS!!! Came out perfect!! Thank you so very much for sharing this!
How could there be a single ‘dislike’? This video is awesome and the recipe is delicious and super simple! Thank you 😘
This is garbage, how you just gonna season the chicken skin only
didn't wash the chicken prior to season and cook.... ouch!!
@@williamriley4441 that just serves to contaminate the entire kitchen
Thank you ' it came out awesome !
Just followed your recipe, and it turned out amazing. That's a big thing for a single guy like me.😊. Thank you.
Wait only seasoning on the top ? It looks good but I doubt the whole chicken is flavorful that way trust me scoring it and seasoning the whole chicken is 10X more flavorful
Love your recipes and instruction.
You could also pan fry the thighs on high for 30-45 sec on each side to get it pretty crispy and then toss in the oven for about 25-30 min. Just make sure you only put salt on the chicken when you pan fry it because the pan will burn your seasonings most of the time. Toss the seasonings on right before it goes in the oven
Merci beaucoup!
Just salt first n den after u fry u put all da ingredients like dis or not pls answer me
@@cheryllebalacanao7221 yes, salt first since other seasonings burn quickly. Just salt it a bit and panfry on high till its a golden color (it will still be raw on the inside) then once the color looks good you can put on other seasonings and put it into the oven to finish cooking it. That way it seals in the juices to keep it moist
this is in the oven now!!! Can't wait to try!!!
Thank you for this easy-to-follow, DELICIOUS recipe! First time roasting chicken and it came out brilliantly. You're a lifesaver!
It came out delish! Thank you for receipe. Only note is you have 1 tsp paprika witten on instructions... just in case soneone screenshots they are not seeing the 2 tsp.
Hey Rachel, I now have another great recipe to try, I love chicken thighs, thanks for sharing and have a great day!
This recipe is da bomb! Super easy, fast, and definitely tasty! Thank you sooooo much!!
I love simple recipes where the video starts out COOKING and not a lot of TALKING.. Thank you so much..I was hoping to find a video like yours..❤
Hope you enjoy
@@Thestayathomechef I'm sure I will 😊😋
I made this and it was so good. I just added a little barbecue after letting it broil and grape seed oil. I used sweet paprika and more garlic powder bc no onion powder. Then I added some chili flakes. I have to make this again
My mom is sick today so I decided to make dinner wish me luck!
You can do it!
How'd it go?
Just made this! Absolutely AMAZING! Thank you so much !
Made it tonight. The family loved it! I made mushroom rice on the side too. Thanks for the recipe!

I can't believe I never thought about cleaning the chicken with scissors. It was so easy!! 😃👏👏👏 Thank you so much!
You are so welcome!
They look so delicious. I’m surely going to try your rub mixture on thighs and other chicken parts. 🍗
Don't try it, you will not like it.
Thanx for the lesson, you make it sound so easy. I will try your recipe
Hope you enjoy
newly retired and cooking for two - holly cow it's harder than I thought, - my wife went back to work due to the covid crap - but cooking for two is a new experience and finding recipes for two is next to impossible-- so far my math to reduce ingredients for two sucks.. or I suck at cooking... Semper Fi...
I know exactly what you mean. i live alone and most nights I am cooking for one. I have to adjust all the recipes!
Just made this recipe and the flavor is SPOT ON!!! I followed the recipe to a T and the skin wasn't crispy but edible and delicious. I'm wondering if I basted them too much and needed to leave them under the broiler a bit longer. Your thoughts would be appreciated. Either way, this will be a go to until I get it right. Unbelievable flavor and moistness!!! Thank you 😊💜
Brittany finally cooked something above a bologna sandwich 🥪
I just found this video because i needed a simple chicken thigh recipe. I didn’t have the bone in with skin kind, but still used the exact spices you mention. I cooked for about 27 minutes at 450 and it turned out amazing! Even my teenage son loved it. It is seriously soooo good and perfectly seasoned. I will definitely be making this one again and am saving this video to my favorite recipe folder! Thank you!!
You are awesome! Your chocolate cake (and carrot cake) recipes have been the center piece of several birthdays in my household! Everyone in my house appreciates your adorable energy and your awesome recipes!
...looks sooo goood!
Avocado oil is better for such high temperatures. Making this tonight!
I always leave the oven door slightly open when the broiler is on to ensure the broiler coil is always on.
Loving your recipe, its become a staple in our home. I've made extra of the Spice Rub and filled a little container of it for quick prepping.
Thank you for sharing!
I just use garlic salt, onion powder, seasoning salt (salt if you don’t have any seasoning salt) and pepper with a little olive oil. I throw it in the oven for 30 mins on each side. Not the best recipe (and not the healthiest) but it’s super good and I recommend if your looking for new recipes to try out (I don’t have exact measurements since I add what I feel is good enough)
Okay thank you, I was going to ask because I don't have the herbs, so I wasn't sure if it was going to work, but I will try it anyways 🤞
I’ve found that oil is not needed for crispy skin. I normally just cook it at 425 for 1hr or 1hr 10 min and it comes out super crispy.
Is this with thighs?
@@leanajera1315 yes!
Use yellow mustard as a binder
Do you leave it uncovered?
I would honestly like to know why she doesnt put any of that seasoning on the chicken..
I tried your recipie and bot did it come out great !!!!!!
Crispin Glover. Dude was nuts.
I could never bake my chicken correctly 😩 but decided to try out this video and I literally just made this for my family!!! OmG thank you 🙏 it tastes so good!!!
I'm so glad!
Yes, according to webber dictionary Crispen is a word.
There’s also Crispin Glover 🤣
@@timmi59 Was looking for that comment^ LOL
But "webber" isn't lol
I just tried this tonight and it is sooooo good!
Thanks for sharing. (Could you recommend cooking appliances, things that you would use to cook)
Trying this now looking forward to wowing my wife and kids
They are going to love it (:
...this with some broccoli & mashed potatoes or spaghetti! Mmmm!!!!!
10/10 holyyy this was so good!
Glad you gave it a try (:
Question, do you only put the seasoning on one side as per your video? Can you also put it on the other side? Or will this be too overpowering ?
I’m making this now! Can’t wait for it to come out the oven
good to watch a video that's about the food, and not about the presenter
Thank you will try!
Hope you enjoy
Just made these, so good! Love the quick simple video!
The rub stuff is easy however delicious , just like the recipe. Thanks for sharing
I really think you should make merch. Start with a t-shirt with a "Crispin" meme.
that is a dumb idea
Ah yes....steel pan, no greasing it first, placed the chicken tightly together to fit as many as I could, I'm sure this is going to turn out perfect.
I cooked this meal a few days ago and my family can't get enough (there are 3 of us). I cooked 9 pieces of chicken and I only got to eat 2 within 2 days (leftovers). It's a must meal to cook again (I used 1/2 tsp of black pepper vs. 1/4; 1 tsp. of garlic powder and onion powder vs. 1/2; substituted thyme for basil). Thank you for this recipe.
Trying today sounds terrific new at cooking will let you know how turn out
Delicious ! I put BQ sauce on chicken. Will be making this again. Thanks
Thank you, my family will enjoy this😉
My pleasure 😊
I recommend your channel to about everyone I know because you have really good recipes AND good tips even for the "seasoned" cook. Much appreciated!
I do this but I also salte onion and mushrooms to put on top. Man it's so mush better.
Question: How would you make this when using boneless, skinless, chicken thighs?
You cut away that skin without cooking it? No, satan, no. You can at least tuck that under the top skin. And thank for using the dehydrated ingredients. That's what most of us have. You and John at Food Wishes are the best at getting a little gourmet into the home kitchen. It's great. You must have food to live. And good food is a good life. Thanks.
I made this for dinner tonight along with baked cauliflower and a side salad for my family. It came out delicious! Very easy recipe. 10 out of 10 👌
My baked chicken came out so yummy. I love your seasoning. This was so easy. I have been baking chicken totally wrong. Thank you😋🙂❤️
This recipe time is terrible, don’t follow it you will end up with burnt and overcooked chicken. I tried it myself. Cooking it at 400 for 30 min or 450 for 20-25 min is enough to get the crispy skin. I was so disappointed following her time and getting burnt chicken.
Are you using a convection oven by chance? As noted in the recipe, cooking time is also dependent on the size of your chicken thighs as they do grow in different sizes.
👍trying this out.
made this the other night, my Wife said shes never had crispier chicken skin. and shes the pickiest person Ive ever known lol. 10/10 thank you.
Great recipe, I like it
Thanks for liking
I will make this. Thanks 💘
I'm making my chicken thighs right now on the stovetop!! 🤪😂 You read my mind tho lol.
Stovetop, how long do you need to cook both sides for?
@@rj-izzard it all depends on your stove. Mines electrical, and I usually use a metal pan. So I cook them on medium/high heat for a good while! Like 30 minutes total, for that juicy but crispy outside! And they pretty much looked like hers.
Thanks for the video. I just made it and it was amazing. Thank you.
Thank you so much!! I have to make chicken thighs at work and this was super helpful.
Where you work at? I’m applying
Making this today thank u x
Wash off chicken, cut off extra skin, pat dry and then season 👍🏼
I demand that "crispin" be added to every dictionary in America. Why? Because "crispin" is cool man! I plan to follow this recipe in few minutes actually and I shall be sure that my skin is crispined by the olive oil. (no I am not kidding). I love this woman. She is the best! (by the way "cripin" is in the dictionary already. I just checked.
Simple n Juicy. Delicious treat.
