listen to "Delta Dawn" a great hit, she was 12 years old as she sang this great song.
'
"
I remember my mom singing that song when I was a kid. Takes me back.
@Conor Moroney the House that built me is awesome
justnread she was 13 instead of twelve
Blood Red and Goin Down too. Tanya is a legend.
foxface. Absolutely, that and “What’s your Daddy’s Name.”
Keep getting deeper into Tanya India!! She's been around since the '70s, and her voice is so crisp and intense and sounds just like it did when she hit it big at 15 years old. Check her out, I think you'll love it.
She sounds BETTER now than she ever did. I love and adore my Tanya.
She was 13 with Delta Dawn.
She was 13 when she hit it big.
Thought she was 12 or 13 with delta dawn?
@@tinaatkinson4924 She was 13.
This song breaks me, my mother passed away two years ago and she loved flowers, her yard was always full of flowers especially roses...one of her favorite sayings was, "Don't rush me, let me stop and smell the roses for a while"
Tanya is one f my favorite female artists, try "Two Sparrows in a Hurricane" or "Greener than the Grass We Laid On".
Those are two of my favorites. I would add San Antonio Stroll to that list for an upbeat song to listen to.
Two Sparrows in a Hurricane is probably one of the most beautiful Country songs out there.
All of her songs are awesome...i love call on me and what do i do with me
Tanya Tucker won 2 grammys for this song, Best Country Album and Best Country Song, her first grammys after nearly 50 years in the business. My favorites are "Strong Enough To Bend" "If Your Heart Ain't Busy Tonight" and her earliest hits "Delta Dawn" "Blood Red and Going Down" "What's Your Mama's Name" and "Would You Lay With Me (In a Field of Stone)". She had her first hit at 13 with "Delta Dawn" in 1972!
With Tanya, they broke the mold. One of a kind BROAD!Love her from the beginning, even more with this song!
Tanya Tucker The House That Built Me is such a moving tribute for the pandemic we're in right now
Thank You India. You reactions are so from the heart and soul. bless you.
Thank you so much for reacting to my request! Another great Tanya Tucker song is The House That Built Me
I agree, The House That Built Me is one of her most moving vocal performances
She needs to hear the original version of that song by Miranda Lambert first.
@@tak1984 Tanya took charge of that song imo
You made me cry India
Such a sweet soul you are !
One of the best songs from any genre EVER!!!!! So beautiful!!!! She got a Grammy for this piece of art!
India, you're an empathetic, sensitive soul. I adore watching you discover an artist for the first time. Please keep at it.
I reccomend doing a reaction to some old school Tanya Tucker. The most popular song that may have started her singing career is "Dalta Dawn", which she recorded when she was 13 years old. Also do a reaction of singing, "Lizzy and The Rainman
Lizzy and the Rainman is one of my all time favorites of hers.
Love her old stuff! Blood red and going down, Wilson green, and Will you lay with me.
@@berlyn3014 Same here. Also, one I don't think gets mentioned often - The River and the Wind.
Very Heartfelt & Poignant Lyrics ..along with that great voice of hers is what makes this tune what it is.Never heard of it.Never heard of her.Liked it quite a bit.Hope we DO get more tunes from Tanya.Great reaction we got as well,(as always),from our India too. What's not to like?
It took her about 40 years to finish this song. It was released last year and Tanya win her first Grammy.
First song I ever memorized as a kid, Delta Dawn. (She was just a teenager too.) I love this song because it remind me of my great aunt, the wonderful woman who raised me. She used to always say, 'Bring me flowers now, because I can't see them when I'm gone." When I heard this song, I could almost see Aunt Lois smiling down, "God let me send you a message!'. Tanya is so very talented with a very rough edge to her; but she has always had a strong spirit that seemed to always say 'she had your back'. Strong Enough to Bend & 2 Sparrows In A Hurricane are similar inspirational songs; but she has too numerous to list out here. She has a lot of 'texas 2-step' type fun songs too. Thanks for reacting to this one though, I'm sure it reminds us all of someone that has gone on before us.
Tanya won grammy for this she has a huge library of awesome music! A true country legend!
Two sparrows in hurricane is another great song by tanya tucker
Glad someone is finally reacting to Tanya Tucker , she’s an OG badass of country music
Tanya Tucker won her first Geammy for this song in 2020. I'd love if you reacted to her song. The House That Built Me
Wasn't that Miranda Lambert who did that song? Maybe Tanya did a cover of it, I dont know. But that is a cool song.
@@johnfoster5295 Miranda did the song originally and it was about visiting the house you grew up in. Tanya covered it. The lyrics were changed so the song was about a woman leaving the house she raised her kids in, a different perspective that was very poignant
@@popland1977 The first time I heard the song was by a local country singer named Jess Taylor who lives in Nashville now. Great song, in fact I prefer her version to Miranda's.
My Mom loved Tanya Tucker so I grew up listening to her music. No one sounds like Tanya and she has been singing for about 50 years. Jamestown Ferry, My Cowboy's Getting Old, White Rocket, No Man's Land, Pride of Franklin County are some of my favorites. She really deserves to be better know and you should do some more reactions to her music.
Glad you discovered Tanya. She has had a long long career and this is kind of a comeback for her. Talk about a person who lived their life, she did it all. She has a very strong and powerful voice and always has.
First time hearing this song. Loved her music since I was little. Great song and great commentary. Great seeing Brandi Carlisle on piano
Oh India!!! You absolutely need to listen to Tanya's 70s stuff! Wilson green, will you lay with Me, blood red and going down and of course delta dawn! You will love every one of them!
Tanya Tucker is the best and your reaction is perfect.
You are so young, you have your whole life ahead of you!!! I did once as well, kids grow up, the calendars change, and you cannot recognize the person in the mirror, this will happen without notice. You are young one day, then you are telling your kids not to let one second pass by without making it count. It happens so fast! Enjoy your youth baby girl, it is lightning!
If you wanna cry give her "Two Sparrows in a Hurricane" a go
Beautiful song by Tanya
There are a whole lot of Tanya Tucker songs like DELTA DAWN, TEXAS WHEN I DIE, LIZZIE AND THE RAIN MAN, CAN I SEE YOU TONIGH HERE'S SOME LOVE. These are some of her earlier 70's music I have been in love with Tanya Tucker for a long time. I AM 60 NOW AND Still love her voice.
I have always loved to listen to this woman.
She is a Country Music Legend.. She has been doing this since the early 70's.
She is my all time favorite Country Singer
Beautiful. She started at 13 yrs old with "Delta Dawn."
Great song by Tanya!!! “Oh, What It Did To Me” is another great one by her. She had so many great songs though. One of my favorite singers 👏🏻🌟🎤🥰‼️ Great reaction by you 👍🏻🥰‼️
she has so many great songs out she's been doing this 50 years ..please check some of her other ones you can never have too much Tanya ..
I suggest listening to her cover of “By the a Time I Get To Phoenix” tribute to Glen Campbell who she used to be in a torrid relationship with. It’s a tearjerker
Kenya Tucker is my favorite female artist of all times she is a national treasure. Listen to blood red and goin down. I still get goosebumps every time I hear this song. Thank you so much for posting this I'm brand new to your channel and I will be back for more.
So true, beautiful song. Your reaction was beautiful too! 🥰
A song Tanya did in 2002, A Memory Like I'm Gonna Be is one I really liked. If I remember correctly, it was off the album, simply titled Tanya, and it was her comeback, after not recording for some time. She's always had that deep, throaty voice, even when she was very young. Great talent.
Tanya is a legend …. So glad she had a hit again.. She has been singing since she was in her teens.
One of the true queens of country music. This song is such a masterpiece and the performance is perfect!
I had not heard this one from her, so thank you for introducing me to it. Another wonderful song by Tanya Tucker is “Two Sparrows in a Hurricane”.
Makes me think of my momma and the southern voice. 😍😍😍😍😍
I loved
Tanya throughout my youth. Her voice screams country but is also unique in its own way.
I love the fact that you say oh my gosh, instead of the alternative. It shows that you had a good upbringing. Thank you for all of your work, you make me so happy.
This song has so much meaning! All of her songs have a great impact but this is her best one yet! Has me in tears everytime!
One of THE BEST songs EVER! I got to see her sing this live in 2020 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and it brought tears to everyone’s eyes. She sounds even better in person and wrote this song herself.
Beautiful voice, words of truth! I'm putting on my play list.
I love that you're on this musical journey and you bring us with you.
I'm from Texas and here the tip of the hat is respect. TRUE RESPECT FROM TEXAS
I have loved Tanya Tucker since I was a kid in the '70's. I always will. You should do more songs of Tanya.
"Would You Lay With Me", "What's Your Momma's Name", and "Blood Red and Going Down ".
Every one is great.
I think you got my 3 favorites! 😊
@@sheriwilliams7449 mine also. I love a lot of her songs but grew up with these and others like them.
Jamestown Ferry.
Lizzie and the Rainmaker.
Can I See You Tonight.
Here's Some Love.
The Man That Turned My Momma On...
They're all good.
@@bobbierobinson6269 she has so many wonderful songs, but there is something about her first decade that I adore. I remember listening to her early greatest hits 8track driving in the car with my family as a young child. Wonderful memories attached to amazing music.
Tanya Tucker is my all time favorite. She has many songs you can keep on going with.
Tanya's first hit was Delta Dawn when she was 13, almost 50 years ago, and there have been many hits since then. But I must say, this is the most meaningful song she ever recorded.
I liked blood red and going down she recorded when she was about 14. Very mature subject matter back then.
this song was very soulful, im glad i heard it here, lowkey plug to new dope music
Her song, “Ones on the way” makes me laugh every single time I hear it.
That song is by Loretta Lynn
Such an awesome song - and you’re right about her voice. I enjoyed watching your reaction. Tanya Tucker is a legend...a true gem.
Tanya Tucker was all up an through the 70's when I was growing up! I think her and Glen Campbell. She's amazing.
MY GOD WHAT A SONG!
Your face tells it all - fantastic.
I have loved this woman’s music since I was a very little girl. “Delta Dawn” was a song they used to play at my daddy’s friends bar and he would put me on the bar top and I would sing my little 3 year old self for everyone. India, you should react to her song, “Little Things “. Probably my favorite of her songs. LOVE this one too.
I just heard this song on the radio today and it made me cry. So much truth.
Thank you India. Tanya has an amazing voice. She is a legend 🌟
Check out Tanya's "Oh What It Did To Me" & "The Wheels of Laredo" too
There's no denying this is a modern-day gospel song. Brandi and Tanya DELIVERED!
You should check out the version of this song at the grammys. (I think) The woman playing the piano is Brandy Carlile, who is an amazing singer, one of my favorites. They did a duet of this song that is so amazing. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe Brandy wrote this song for Tanya to sing. Check it out, it's worth a watch.
Great song! You should give,"Can I see you tonight", "just another love", and "texas (when I die)"a chance.
Good reaction - from your heart! Try reacting to Minnie Riperton "Loving You" - the live 1975 video version. Unbelievable vocal range!
Tanya tucker Lizzie and the rain man, delta dawn, Georgia sun going down, when I die, what's your mommas name
"Two Sparrows in a Hurricane" by Tanya Tucker is my favorite by her
Those two ladies in the video (Tanya in the horse, Brandi Carlile on the piano) wrote that song in 30minutes.
That's not necessarily accurate. Tye ideas for the lyrics were developed over decades
Listen to her song Forever Loving You. Sooooooo touching.
Love your reactions India, keep it nice and pure.
Great message India. You are so right in what you say. Good job.
"Strong enough to bend" by Tanya Tucker
First time I heard this it made me cry. Such a good song ❤️
I heard this song the last time I seen my sister when she was in hospice. She passed away 3 days later. This song hit my so deep.
Her entire album is magnificent, you should check it out. Also, Brandi Carlile produced this recored with Shooter Jennings - Brandi Carlile's music is unbelievable. Check out anything by her too! Sugartooth is particularly affecting. Love you reactions, great work!
I finally see a true almost crying reaction, You showed a true deep feeling, thank you....All these reactions people cry but I never see a tear.
Second video of yours I've watched. First was Bill Burr motherhood. You're pure. Thank you for your raw contributions.
Two Sparrows in a hurricane is a very good Tanya song.
Yea-grew up as a kid belting out Delta Dawn in the backyard to the whole neighborhood!
you just have to listen to tanya..she has some awesome music .
#OldWhiteLady here again, hey India, I've missed your sweet soul. Please try:
"What it did to me" by Tanya Tucker
There is an old tune from the early sixties called Please Dont Let Me Be Understood by the Animals. Worth the time to listen to.
Tanya has a unique voice, you should react to her earlier work, such as "Delta Dawn" and "what's your Mama's name" absolute classics.
I highly recommend Delta Dawn the song that made her a star at age 13. She has been a force in Country music for most of her life. This song Won her a grammy at age 60...truly a trail blazer and a badass woman!
I'm not crying, you're crying ❤
Two sparrows in a hurricane TANYA TUCKER awesome song
Delta Dawn is a must.
This song brings tears to my eyes
Hadn't heard it before, beautiful and poignant. I'll keep asking Jackson Browne "A Human Touch"
I was just as moved the first time I heard it. It won her a Grammy.
SHE HAD HER FIRST NUMBER ONE SONG IN 1972 DELTA DAWN WHEN SHE WAS 12 YEARS OLD
Could u react to delta dawn by Tanya Tucker I think she was thirteen when she sang thst..
I realy love your reactions because you take a closer look to the meaning/lyrics of the songs, that is nice!! I wish you would react to U2 - "Where the streets have no name" live at Slane Castle. This is epic and beautiful! Perhaps you find the time for it someday! Greets from Germany! Stay healthy!
What it did to me is a awesome Tanya tucker song
I like Tanya Tucker’s Spring.
That was beautiful! 💖💖
Gorgeous
That’s a voice right there
We all think we've got the time til we don't....
She used to go with Glenn Campbell, listen to them when they were younger
