- Another first for us as Helen books us in to Reedham Ferry Caravan Park for a few nights. The weather was great and the tide was high!
We take a riverside stroll and there are 3 pubs really close by serving fine ales and food.
We hope you enjoy this one and if you have been here let us know what you thought to it.
Thanks for watching.
ATB,
Helen & Dave

I love Reedham , brings back memories of when we used to visit Petites animal park nearby and then called into the Lord Nelson for a drink, thanks for sharing ❤️👍
Hi Stephen, Reedham is lovely, we used to sail the boat there, nice walks and pubs and away from it all. Best wishes, Helen & Dave
Looked lovely 😊❤
Thanks Amanda, best wishes, Helen and Dave 👍
Hi Dave & Helen, That's my type of site and that's not just because there's a pub 😉
Ha Ha Ha but it does help. Thanks for watching. Cheers, Helen & Dave
Looks a lovely place will have to try it😉
Hi Nev, deffo worth a visit, we enjoyed it. Thanks for watching. Helen & Dave 👍
Great site dave and Helen glad you stayed at this one I’ve been here several times one our favourites you should of tried the southwold broadside couple of those sleep like a baby
Cheers martin
Hi Martin, thanks as always. One broadside knocks me broadside 😂😂 Not sure why but hey ho. Great little site. Take care, Helen & Dave 👍
Another great find, never knew the site was there, definitely one to try in the future. Martin would love to photo that sunset as well. Best wishes H&M. 😀
Hi H&M, Though if Martin when we saw the sunset. Nice little out of the way site. Lovely walks too. Hope you’re well. Dave & Helen 👍
Hi dave lovely little site and pub been there a few times never disappoints
Hi Derek, must agree, lovely place. ATB, Dave and Helen 👍
Looks a Lovely site at a Great location and a good price as well, thanks for taking us with you 👍
Thanks both, we did enjoy it there, not a bad price either. Hope you’re both well. Cheers, Dave & Helen 👍
I do believe the boat idea is falling on deaf ears😂😂 Nice area and nice quiet site, thanks for the update both 😀😀
Sadly Tristan, I think you might be right but I’ll keep the pressure on 😂🍺
We have just started towing our 7.5 metre caravan from a Mercedes E Class saloon, to our LWB campervan. What a revelation. No big square vehicle suck as they pull past you at speed and no caravan wiggle whatsoever, even at the 60 mph speed limit. I think that it must be that the combined aerodynamics of the van and caravan together means that the wind, just flies over the top and down the sides because the van is nearly as wide and as tall as the caravan and the extra weight of the campervan resists the other vehicle carriageway suck - Magic !
The only down side is a little extra fuel and climbing very steep hills slower but much much safer.
Hi Steve, always said that a camper is caravan is the perfect combination. Hope you’re having lots of fun. ATB, Dave and Helen 👍
Just returned from one of you recommended sites Caravan and Motorhome site Norfolk broads really enjoyed the we went to the Fenns which also lovely
Fantastic and a wonderful little site. Thanks as always, Dave & Helen 👍
Hi Dave and Helen, think one of us commented previously about having something in common, here is another, we used to own a Pub too. In fact my wife is why I sold it, I wanted to spend more time with my new wife rather than drunk people. 17 Years later we bought a Caravan :) If you ever head to the West Country, we'd be pleased to meet up / offer a stop over.
Vaguely amusing story about Dogs who don't like walks, my brother asked me ONCE to take his Toy Poodle for a weekend, no problem I said, short version, took him for the first walk with our Lab', 30 minutes in he lays down and won't move. Panicking I called my brother who laughed and said "oh he's fine, you just have to carry him the rest of the way!". When you own a Labradors for most of your adult life, a non walking fussy eater is a revelation!🤣🤣
Wonderful comment, we want to head to the West Country next year. We have to be in Wales early Maybbut want to do Devon & Cornwall too. Where is home for you guys? Cheers, Dave & Helen ☺️
@@HelenandDave Under 10 minutes off the M5 near Taunton. If it's okay to use your email I can be more specific.
Nice area been over that ferry many times over the years never stayed on the camp but visited it looks ok just no one there looking after it
Hi Karl, first time there with the caravan and we really enjoyed it. Reedham village is great. Thanks for watching 👍👍
Hi Dave and Helen. Site looks very nice and you can't go too far wrong for £22 per night. Lovely walks by the river. Cheers Terry
Hiya Terry, must say it was a nice little stay at Reedham and we enjoyed the walks too. Good price 👍 Thanks for watching ATB, Dave & Helen 👍
Went there Dave last October after watching your video. We had mini heatwave late October. And really loved it. Thanks for your videos. Love them
Are you still thinking about a boat.
Hi David, we remember you going and the weather was great then, hope we can get a repeat this year 🤞I would love to get another boat but it’s not practical for us at the moment. Glad you’re enjoying the videos. Cheers, Helen & Dave
That’s a lovely site with some great walking. Loved the view of the Broads from there.
One for our list. Thanks for sharing guys.
Hi guys, thank you so much. We’ll worth a visit, so glad you liked it. ATB, Dave & Helen 👍
Not been there for years, but seeing this has made me think about returning soon.
Hi Mark, suspect it hasn’t changed much but it has real character and worth a revisit. Thanks, Dave & Helen
Another great vlog Helen and Dave. This looks a nice area. We kept thinking about visiting the lower broads when we stayed recently at White House Beach, but assumed the ‘real’ broads were up near the Norfolk Broads site where we had come from. Looks like we missed out, but one for next time. Im not sure about boats having struggled to reverse park a day boat outside a busy pub near Horning. What an embarrassment 😂 I gave up and found somewhere I could park side on and with no spectators. Think we’ll stick to the caravan and become a spectator watching others embarrass themselves. Are you going to Scotland this year? All the best Alan
Hi there Alan, not a bad little site, we had a nice stay. Know what you mean about reverse mooring a boat 😂 I was the same when I got the caravan but you do get the hang of it 👍 ATB, Helen & Dave 👍
I love the image of your route at the beginning of your videos. Is it a special caravan satnav? Great content as usual x
Hi Barbs, thanks, this is an app we use to showcase to our viewers the route we have taken. We get a lot of positive feedback on it coupled with the dashcam footage showing the journey into the site. People like to see what the local roads/entry looks like to site. Thanks again, Helen & Dave
What a lovely place. Keep ‘em coming I’ll get him over that way eventually.
Hi Sandra, he won’t regret it if you do! Thanks for watching and ATB, Dave & Helen 👍
Thank you for another wonderful picturesque caravan trip to another pristine relaxing destination. ❤
Hello Virginia, how we would love to take you with us. So glad you’re sharing our little trips with us and thank you. Lots of love, Helen and Dave xx
Great video, been to the pub a few times keep the videos coming DAVE 👍
Cheers Ronald, great night tonight 🍺
Hi Dave and Helen, the boats on the broads looks lovely. Such a nice campsite and the facilities look good. The village looked very pretty. Very relaxing sitting beside the broads watching the boats go by. Beautiful sunset x Julie and Tony x
Hi Julie & Tony, it doesn’t get much better to be honest. Trying to catch up on z as ll things UA-cam, will be watching your adventures shortly. Take care, Dave & Helen 👍
A regular haunting my younger days but another site to add to the growing list. (Great to bump into UA-cam royalty today in sunny suffolk 😀)
Hi Phil, thoroughly enjoyed our chat by the Elsan point 😂 great site in Suffolk, hope to bump into you again. Happy travels, Dave & Helen 👍
@@HelenandDave I’m sure we will. 😀
Thanks Dave - the site looks exactly how I expected it to look, rustic yet functional ❤ any village that boasts 3 pubs with in 1.5miles is a winner. We have missed the season this year but hopefully can get there next year.
Thanks Leanne, nice little site, with you on the pubs 🍺🍺. Take care, Dave & Helen 👍
Hi guys - looks like a lovely spot/area, I'm with Helen on the boat front!
You’re no help at all Kevin! I’m on the verge of something big 😂 Hope you’re both well, sorry to hear of Sadies mishap. Sending our love, Helen and Dave 👍
Hi Dave. I love this part of Norfolk. We have stayed at cantley which is not far away from where you are and also we have stayed at Clipsby hall a few times. It looks lovely there and it is another great place for our visit Norfolk holiday list.
Thanks for sharing another great video. 😊
Hi Greg, Reedham is only up the road from Cantley and Clipsby but it was our first visit with the caravan. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks, Dave & Helen 👍
That Triumph was a red one. Reedham was a regular stop on the pub crawl that was the Norfolk Broads for my parents. That boat is in trouble if they don't sorts its lines out. That green on the way down to The Ship used to have a sign on it No Ball Games or UFO's I never saw a UFO there LOL. They meant Frisbees of course. Singing on one beer that must have been good stuff LOL
Hi David & Lindsay, a good old Norfolk Broads pub crawl! They were the days. It’s the Adnams, just looking at it gets me singing 🍺👍
The Ferry Inn was an old haunt of ours back in the early 70’s to 80’s. Didn’t know that there was a caravan site behind it. Looks a lovely site 👍
Not changed much but nice atmos!!! Thanks 🍺👍
Great sited stayed there a week ago tented wind a bit of a nightmare but people were great good pub stayed in pitch 1 just a little short on cubicles
Hi Lloyd, we felt the same, enjoyed having the pub on our door step and a nice selection in the village too. Thanks for watching. Helen & Dave 👍
Love Norfolk never stayed at reedham ferry but certainly will do now. Last time we stayed at reedham ferry was on a boat many years ago, doesn’t seemed to have changed much. I seemed to think that when we walked into Reedham we walked via the road but I maybe wrong. With regards to the tide and the moored up boat we ended up on a slant because of the same situation all because we have tied the ropes to tight, took four men and a lot of pushing to release us from the bank.
Hi Sandra, thanks for watching, it was a nice stay at Reedham. It’s a common situation with the boats at Reedham. The south side of the broads are very tidal because of the sea entrances at Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft. Cheers, Helen & Dave
Hi Helen and Dave,
That looks like a lovely quiet site, pub on hand bonus, and nice walks.
The crossing with the van on 😮, sure, it's fine.
Can we please ask if you were not from the area could you recommend the best 3 sites for a two week tour? It's unfair we know 😊.
As always, We really enjoyed the vlog looking forward to the next vlog.
Take care all 🙂
Paul and Joanne 👍 😁
Hi Paul and Joanne, that’s a tough one! Narrowing it down to three in Norfolk We think, Clippesby Hall, Poppyland and Forest Park. All non club sites. Thanks as always, Helen & Dave 👍
Crossed over on the ferry once but never stayed at the caravan site. Looks good value at £22. Happy travels to you both and stay safe 👍
Thanks, we really enjoyed it here and would certainly return without any hesitation. Nice Pubs in Reedham. Cheers, Dave & Helen.
'Think the motorcycle was a Triumph Tiger Cub. My Dad owned one in the 60's and still talks about it now...
Thanks Trudy, really had no idea but what a wonderful machine! Love the nostalgia. Cheers, Dave & Helen 👍
You seem to be giving it a good go but I wonder if anybody has done ALL the sites in the UK? Reedham looked lovely though and it's yet another one I never knew existed :)
Ha Ha, thanks guys, don’t think we would make all UK sites but certainly giving all Norfolk sites.a run for their money 👍
that was a great video !......may I ask what the name of the track was on the opening drive down to the caravan site thanks , oh and how did you make that brilliant wee car and caravan specoal effect video overlaid on your juorney route , it was brilliant :)
Thank you, the graphics are via a subscription app called Travel Boast. We also subscribe to Elidemic sounds for our music. I’ll see if I can locate the track and get back to you. Thanks, Helen & Dave
@@HelenandDave many thanks ....I thought you might have made the effect yourself with adobe after effects :)
Oops. Already told you seems.. Afraid when you get to 80 in few weeks. Memories fade.
Supposed to have gone for a memory test in August. Forgot it.
😂😂😂😂
Hi David, your memory may be fading but your sense of humour is working very well indeed 😂👍 Take care and best wishes from us both 👍
hi, me again - we have a week to travel in november and we would like to give Norfolk a try in the motorhome - which would be your best recommends for a few nice campsites? have had a good look thru your vlogs but the choice seems overwhelming lol - are many sites open in november?
Hi Leanne, a lot of sites close end of October but there are still places to visit in November. Forest Park near Cromer is a good one to try. Bar/Restaurant pool etc. Foxhills near Weybourne was open last November (we were there). Nice sites 👍
@@HelenandDave thank you 👍 will check them out ❤️
The Adnams Ice Breaker was a decent alternative to Ghost Ship but not in the same league obviously 🍺
There's more to life than Ghost Ship Dave !!!
Shame you sold your boat..had you thought of sailing across the channel and visiting jersey and guernsey or perhaps Brittany and the canals over their???.❤️🇬🇧🇺🇦
Hi 👍 must admit, wish we still had it. No we didn’t venture away from our area but I would very much fancy a trip through the French canals and link up with the Med! ATB, Dave & Helen👍
Just go buy the boat! Easier to beg for forgiveness than permission. 😊
I love that line!!! You can’t take it with you, so enjoy it! Watch this space. ATB, Dave & Helen 👍
