Jessie, nice video . Mine is 2015 model so about same as yours . I better check and learn how to replace rudder cable . Better safe than sorry . Thanks for your advise .
Nice video. I need to get back out there. I've been jonesing for years to catch some of those elusive sheep head since I watched some northern boys reel in 7 off sea gull pier a few years back before it closed.
Great report on Fisherman's Island. Do you ever fish inlets, tributaries, or other spots? I will get up with y'all someday. I just fish HRBT a lot and Mobjack/York primarily. Next try using a paddle for directional.....old school....lol.
Yes I do and I'm planning on fishing a bumch of new spots this July and August. I do have a paddle and I tried steering with it, but the current was ripping out of that canal and I needed to go the other way and it just wasn't working
I will be hitting ODU reef for the next couple of weeks before moving into an undisclosed location for monster trout halfway up the bay. Check out comeonfish. Joe hits some good spots.
Thanks for the video. Some of my best memories going back 50 years are from that short stretch of the CBBT from the Eastern Shore to Fisherman's Island. Can your Hobie pedal drive overcome the current in the intracoastal? I have been thiniing about launching my Hobie and fishing that stretch without having a long arduous trek.
Yes I have a half paddle that clip in behind the seat. I tried paddling but the current was so strong it was almost impossible... Also tried steering with it but that didn't work either
Hey man do you have a marine radio on you when you go out there? I want to get out there and fish but haven't gotten a radio yet just in case I need it.
A hard day fishing is still better than a good day at work. Thanx for posting.
Yes sir any time!
Love your videos--thanks for making and sharing! Love that net--that is slick!
Thanks and yes the net is nice how it fold out!

Get on out there and give it a try my friend!
My Passport 12.0 has solid ROD now and no dam string cables.
Love watching your videos man! I’m here with the navy and I just bought a kayak I’ve learned a lot from watching your videos!
Thanks I'm glad you enjoy them!
Always bring a paddle with not sure if you have one already my mirage drive broke one time on the water it sucked
I have one but the current was so strong I couldn't defeat it, it just kept spinning me back around
We used to kill big Grey Trout in the boat channel back in the late 80s. Good times! Great vidja like always brother.
Thanks man I'm glad you enjoyed it
Awesome video! 1st time coming across your vids and you earned a new sub! Plenty of flatties out here in VA! Keep up the awesome work!
Will do thanks

Yes it can but you definitely want to pick days with less current.
@@SouthernReelsFishing Thanks for the reply.
I see you fished the Pogies Tournament, I had to work that day or I'd have been out there fishing it with yall.
Yeah man it was fun! Sorry you missed out on it
Do you carry a paddle (possibly broke down, stowed in front hatch) as backup?
