      A Wannabe artist like me needs a computer with Photoshop and Illustrator to make my work, but to an artist, give him paper and a pencil, and his work will look much better than mine.

    It's easy to see how Kai earned the nickname the 'Human Metronome'. His skills are extrodinary. Of course, he's put the ground work in, playing drums since he was 7! Such a lovely man, too.

    Kai Hato is a great drummer and has great ideas about warm-up routines. No wonder his bands, Nightwish and Wintersun are so great and the drumming so phenomenal. Props to Kai and I hope he has continued success in and out of the music world.

    I've had huge respect for Kai Hahto since his Rotten Sound days and I'm glad he's making it big with Nightwish now. He, if anyone, deserves it!

    I cannot even do different things with each hand. Let alone with four limbs 4 different things at the same time. I always wondered how people drum especially metal drummers with the double base. Nice to see

      I haven't heard the 2020 nightwish album but Nightwish' material doesn't really release the full beast of Kai. You should check out Wintersuns two first albums, in Sons of winter and stars Kai is bombing in full auto mode fore almost 14 minutes.

    • @erwinmulder1338
      @erwinmulder1338 4 роки тому +3

      @@Pyllymysli According to an interview, the new album had Kai practice some of the patterns for 4 hours on his own a day on top of the regular practice with the band to get them down. So yeah, this album was a challenge even for him.

      @@erwinmulder1338 That's not really very much practice when going into studio.... I practice that much almost couple time as week and I'm not even trying to achieve anything.

    Fyi, all:
    "Kai Hahto - the virtuoso drummer and man behind Nightwish's drum kit - will bring a completely new concept to the Apollo stage in Helsinki on Saturday 3 February 2024. As the name of the show suggests, the main role of the show will be played by Kaitsu and his drumming - alone. This unique ensemble will include songs from the catalogues of Nightwish, Wintersun, Swallow the Sun and Auri, not forgetting the surprises - all from Kaitsu's masterful drumming perspective."
