I wish we had seen more of the machining. Metal milling is one of the most satisfying things to watch ever.

All that machining could have been done on a couple of mill-turns with a sub spindle.

That doesn't make sense. Production of highly automatized components is actually cheaper in the US because the infrastructure is already there and you save on transportation costs.
It all depends on the product. Size, weight, quantities,... I'm a purchaser for a big international company based in Europe and we are in the metal business. If you want quality wheels, get em from Germany or Italy. They manufacture their own steel and aluminium, so less chance you get that crappy steel from China/Taiwan/India.

This video showcases our TUV verified Vossen Forged Factory where is wheel is made in the USA, right here in Miami. In addition we make low pressure case, Flow-Form Technology in our Asian factories and our Vossen x Work wheels in Japan. Obviously there won't be any changing of your opinion but these are the facts.
