I caught COVID at the beginning of the month and was super low-energy for most of October, so I did a ton of reading, too. The only book we have in common is The Familiar, but this video inspired me to add several others to my "to read list". ❤
I love your month gone bye. videos. I would recomend the Japanese Anime YOUR NAME (movie) back at you. Do you watch any anime? I think you would like it???
Wow - it’s been quite a while since I’ve had such a reading filled month and I kind of miss it. I’ve had Leigh Bardugo and also Station Eleven vaguely on my “interested to read someday” list for awhile. I picked up Ministry of Time after your first video but haven’t started it yet. Otherwise, I’d give Medea a peek but am skeptical of the feminist modernization retelling of these stories (they have to be done with care and respect of the original time and place and customs of the day or I’m out - I’m not interested in Bridget Jones’ Diary, Ancient World Edition) and I’m honestly most intrigued to check out the vampire book you dnf’d, just because…vampires? I’m always curious what can be done new with vampires. Have you watched any of the classic movies (like with Maria Callas) that were made based on Ancient Greek plays? I’m interested in that. I’ve picked up several on dvd to watch later.
Oh cool, let me know if you do read Station Eleven or watch the series. Of all the Greek myth retellings I read this year, Clytemnestra was hands down my favorite. I don’t think I’ve seen any of the movies you mean. I did love Clash of the Titans as a kid. 🙂

I hope you’re feeling better! Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it.
Marlene, loved the video and I love your synopsis and reading experiences. I think it is so informative!
I’m so glad you liked it. I’m still reading quite a bit so there will be more.
Thank you! I loved hearing about your reads! A Psalm for the Wild Built is a wonderful, thought provoking, warm, quick read - Highly recommend 💕
I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I’ve added that title to my list. Thanks!

Thank you! I’ve not watched much anime but I will look this one up. Thanks again.

Oh -Open Throat also sounded interesting. I’m not much for literary fiction or just modern slice of life. My life is banal enough.

@@MarleneTheresa oh, what I am thinking of is way older - like 1930-50s. Clash of the Titans is just 1980s. ;-)
