    Tervist! Thank you very much for this video...I followed your steps and managed to replace head with head gasket (forgot to drain water from system). Anyway, could you please recommend best oil for this engine? In one store they recommended to by some kind Kamaz oil, which based on specification qualifies as a second option. Don't want to pick up low quality oil.

    У меня трактор МТЗ 82 пол года назад я заменил оригинальные ремонтные комплекты двигателя, головку, коленвал и ремонт форсунок, отдал инжекторный насос на ремонт. Я достиг двигателя за 50 часов, а затем я сделал 350. Холодный двигатель работает и курит. После разогрева дыма, залито масло, оно слабое. Я проверил давление сжатия в цилиндрах от 22 до 25 атмосфер. У меня есть вопрос, как поставить кольца на поршень? Разметка вверх или вниз ?

    Hi!! I repair the clutch of my tractor myself after see your other video. How did yo know that the head gasket is dead? Oil on the water? Temperature exceeds? My Belarus 560 doesn't have a thermostat when I bought it. And normal temperature is about 75. But in hard work up to 90 and the radiator start leaking for an old reparation. The oil is clean and the water too. The oil pressure is about 1.5. What do you think? Thanks

    • @hrz4x4
      @hrz4x4  4 роки тому +3

      Coolant temp was going up all the time and i had coolant loss in the system. Eventually it was white smoke in the exhaust, so coolant was leaking into the pistons. It's normal that the temperature is not going up without thermostat. Hard work brings out all the flaws. My first very hard work killed the radiator also, after radiator replacement it's all OK. If you loose coolant the engine temp can go too high so keep an eye on that. Oil pressure 1.5 is OK, depends on the oils, but it's in the OK range.

      @@hrz4x4 Hello again. My 560 is almost dead. It has run out of strength and has a constant failure. Puffs white smoke and squirts water from the radiator. The water is clean and the oil too. So I presume that the cylinder head gasket is damaged, but boy si bad.
      When you did this work, have you rectified the cylinder head or have you verified that it was not necessary? How? I appreciate any information that can guide me. Thanks.

    • @hrz4x4
      @hrz4x4  3 роки тому

      @@odibic Just replace the gasket. It's quite normal that they go bad. The head is cast iron and normally it's not warped. The only thing I recommend is to use the same white ring gaskets around the bores as I have. It's something from the turbo MTZ, should last longer. And you have to re-torque the head bolts after 50hours of work - if you will not then you can replace the head gasket again soon.

    They are known to blow headgaskets because the stag bolts are too thin and will stretch.

    I'm courious, was it OK after this? Did you have any problems?
    Once a Belarus service guy showed me how the plastic rings are installed in the gasket. I also wanted to cut them, but he joined two endings of a plastic rings and started from there. On the end, there was a small hump witch he just pressed in. Fitted perfectly.
    What were the symptoms of your destroyed gasket? Engine not running smooth? Compression in oil (crankcase)? Compression in cooling liquid radiator?

    • @hrz4x4
      @hrz4x4  2 місяці тому

      Symptoms.. I had gasses in the coolant and cooland was disappearing. Eventually engine just boiled all the time when doing some kind of hard work.
      So far the engine is working fine. The same gasket is working very well. With Belarus engine it's very important to re-tighten the head bolts after some ~50 working hours. If you will not do this then you can be sure that you can replace the head gasket soon again.

    • @dk_traveller

    i have a belarus 1025 ,2000 model turebo that rolled over and i bought the wreck, mainly the cab is severly bent but i got a hold of an old 820 parts tractor with ok cab. it must be 20+ years betweem them but they are basically identical so i will swap cabs(and paint the cab black,that old orange is hideous ) the 2000 model has carraro normal type front axel and not all the crazy portal type the old ones have,not to mention the enormous servo tower in front of the radiator operating the steering xD thats some strange system.

    • @hrz4x4
      @hrz4x4  7 років тому +1

      They still produce the same tractor (820). Some modifications surely but the basic construction is the same. Old steering is not very nice system. Hydro is much better. I am also in the process (at least in my mind) of building hydro steering..

  • @hayfarm1990

    Hey what's the purpose of the nylon/plastic rings you put in there?? I put a head gasket on a Belarus motor like that and the dealer just gave me the headgasket and that was it. Looked like a typical head gasket used on a tractor. It was a OEM gasket from MTZ. Remings me I haven't retorqued the head ... been several hundred hrs.

    • @hrz4x4
      @hrz4x4  8 років тому

      I don't know the purpose exactly but experienced belarus builders recommend that. It's not required when you have a normal engine but it's essential with a turbo engine. You should retorque the head bolts. 30 hours is the recommended time. I suspect that this was one of the reason why mine failed.

    • @hrz4x4
      @hrz4x4  8 років тому +1

      And one more thing that is not show in the video unfortunately. I did use the nylon/plastic ring also on the small oil port on the head gasket. And I think that the plastic rings are probably made of PTFE or EPDM.

      Tel me so how does the coolant circulates in the engine until it warm up tu 70°C. Don't you think that this might be the cause of gasket blown out. Maybe temperature is right but is it the same in each part of engine? Take a look at the new type of the thermostat housing for MMZ engines.

      @@wujeksamozlo4381 Most importantly, if you do have an option then 100% check for cylinder head straightness. I had to buy an used cylinder head cause old one was cracked and leaked coolant. I asked the seller and he said that cylinder head is in good shape and you just need to install it. So i did and already when starting the engine i saw air leaking to the out of the cylinder. 2nd cylinder was leaking bad. so i had to take it off again and grind it straight. Yesterday was able to start it and it seems to be holding pressure now. Let's hope it stays like that.
      First two times i used this metall gasket you were talking about. It did work very well for first time. second time the cylinder head was just warped and that's why it leaked. now last third time i used original type head gasket without teflon rings.
      P.S: You cannot use teflon rings on metal gasket. Metal gasket is too thick for them.

    I did get seized up 572, took apart half of the motor, found nothing, tried to move the flywheel from the starter opening with the pry bar, did not badge!.. I figured it must be in the clutch, though the pulling it to my place with neutral, did not cause any problem, but tried to put any gear, would just block the wheels.. I did support the transmission, and the motor, and start splitting it, when something fell out!.. I could not find any metal...but few rocks were laying around the tractor. When I opened it, I found mess in there too much grease!..and grass!.. with it probably a rock dropped in between the pressure disk body and the outer body of the clutch.. jammed it up solid!.. Other then the clutch pressure disk and fly wheel were way beyond the service!.. there was hardly any problem with it, only oil!!!..was never changed for too long!..It looked like just thin black watery fluid, but the centrifuge was full, and damaged at the bottom of the inner bell... so all dirt was being circulated!.. Mess!.. Thank you very much for your video!..It did inspire me to open the whole thing up, and putting the clutch together, I did it in reverse!... put the pressure plate on the shaft, the clutch disc, and lined it up, carefully, pulled both together!.. Sure challanging!..but did work, through the opening for inspection, I did torque up the pressure disc to fly wheel, and then set the fingers to same distance from the release bearing. Worked. You are very inspiring!..No un necessary blabing...just show how!...Good work!!!
