Kool G Rap had many songs and verses where he absolutely destroyed the mic. But, this album and in particular, this record was a highlight in raw lyricism never heard before this way. He was able to paint a nasty, raw, even cringeworthy depiction lyrically that could be visualized. This combined with his voice and natural lisp gave it that authentic complexity no body could copy.
