Will, I'm 33 with a doctorate and I STILL don't feel like an adult.😭 I totally agree with everything you're saying about having kids. I don't think it's selfish to not have kids though, if anything most people say "well who's going to take care of you when you're old" and THAT is a selfish reason TO have kids; those kids never agreed to that. Also, if you work in the hospital or a nursing home you know dang well having kids does not mean you'll be taken care of when you're elderly; more people in the nursing home right now have kids, than those who don't.
I used to beat myself up for not feeling like ‘an adult’ at age 16 💀💀💀 I’m 25 and still don’t but I’ve come to realize that there’s no one way to FEEL like an adult. Once you reach age 20, that’s it. You’re an adult. Although some people do have arrested development 💀
I feel you. Im 33 and I didnt get into med school when I applied in my early 20s. 11 years later, I decided to re-apply because life literally passes you by. If i have to go to school in Mexico or the US, Im gonna make sure I get in this time. Follow your dreams my friend.
30 is 5 months away for me, and I feel like I'm just stepping into adulthood; it's ghetto out here. As for kids, me and my partner don't want them. But it's important to lay that out first when you're dating because somebody's gonna get their feelings hurt later down the line. I love your content Will, literally one of my favorite UA-camrs!
Chile I just enrolled for my masters at 30. Now the thought of typing a paper is a “jump scare” but we gon get it done! Plus, it’s always important to do what you love, forget the numbers (I.e. age and other ppls timeline for YOU)
Are you going to be working full time? I'm thinking of getting my masters but the thought of working full time while completing an advanced degree is putting me off
You are so right about those who were forced to grow up fast not wanting kids, i’m the oldest sibling, girl and cousin in the family and the way I feel like I already lived through my mother arc…
I'm 22 married and just had my baby in January. I personally feel like the most rare isolated person sometimes because I actually enjoy being an adult. I really look forward to being an elder at some point too. But I feel like everything I want and love about my life older people are always telling me I just feel this way because I'm young and when I get older I'll regret "moving too fast". It sucks because I'm real happy and confident I'm my choices in life so far but it's like my happiness is wrong in the eyes of others. As a kid I definatly didn't get to be a child for long being the oldest having to take care of my siblings but I don't think I have to pause and live out my 20s and 30s trying to relive a time period thats already past. I'm married with a kid and still have fun too so I don't feel like I'm missing out on my youth. Maybe it's because I'm religious too lol but this life on earth is only a temporary one I look more forward to what happens after life on earth.
I feel that. I’m 31 and watching those shows from an adult perspective instead of a kid’s prospective makes me realize that while I may not have it all, I still have it more mentally together than most people on reality tv shows. Lol and I feel slightly better.
I also recently started skipping leave-in and just using a styler (foam or gel). My scalp feels better and my hair dries faster, so its a win-win. This video is perfecttt timing
@@TspeadyslilSIS I've been washing once a week (shampoo, I don't use cowash) since lately and my hair never really feels dry. I just washed it today after a week of having it in plaits/braids and it still felt soft and moisturized. I haven't worn it out since I started doing this though, so I'm not sure if it would dry out that way. Edit: I use Aussie Moist shampoo & conditioner, and then lotta body foaming mousse before I put it in plaits, if you're wondering.
Thank 👏you 👏 for 👏 bringing 👏up👏 life 👏 size 👏 I swear this is the first thing I mention when people talk abut the Barbie movie, and I feel like no one else even thinks about it!!!
I'll be 31 soon. I had to grow up fast as a kid cause my mom was a single parent, and she did the best she could, but she wasn't always around (had to work to put food on the table). Gotten therapy to address that, and have spent maybe the last 6-8 years recreating moments i missed out on a a kid. I've been having fun, have been traveling, going out and just enjoying myself. In my mid 20s I thought- maybe kids weren't going to be for me. I didnt have the emotional energy to be able to devote to kids, and I felt guilty because when i first met my partner, we talked and agreed at the time that we both wanted some. I think I was just in the middle of my healing. I feel like Ive gotten to a point now where I truly feel ready- ive got my life in order, my partner and I have a nice home and are planning our wedding. I'm healthy both mentally and physically and am feeling pretty fulfilled. The rest of the goals i have for my life i dont think will be greatly sidelined by the introduction of kids, and I am actually excited at the prospect of raising them, seeing the types of people they will be, and giving them an even better childhood than i had. I know some folks from a similar background as mine might be like- no, still won't have kids. And thats fair. Everyone should do what's best for them. Having kids is serious business. Im glad ive been able to grow in such a way that has enabled me to make these decisions in my own time, in my own best interest.
I recently got into Master Chef Jr. Those babies are so cute and talented and they're so sweet to each other. They cry real hard when they get eliminated but the judges soothe them so well and that makes me cry. lol I love it so much ♥
definitely agree about the kids! i'm almost 30 and am firmly childfree. i just feel like my life is starting to feel a little more stable, a little more grounded and i want to enjoy my 30s and beyond doing me. 😊

i probably have no stake in this conversation since im so young (literally enrolling in college next year) but im a transgender black boy who was raised in a toxic household and forced to grow up early. the realization that after therapy i could actually be capable of being a father one day while raising a healthy family regardless of what society and the people around me have told me i'm incapable of doing because of my identity motivates me to work hard and stay focused on bettering myself as a person in the NOW so one day when i AM ready and secure in who i am and my career i'll be the best version of myself i can be for my family. having children is not just a major life commitment but is also you actively taking part in a gamble that is raising an entire human being that will hopefully grow up to become a functioning member of society under your guidance and people who are actively childfree because they recognize that they are not prepared/willing to sacrifice for this instead of ruining a child's life because of it will always have my absolute respect because we fr got too many emotionally fucked up adults in this world we don't need no more 😭

“About to enroll in grad school, get married, have a kid” whyyy am quite literally right there 😭😭😭😂🙈 I’m with that whole mindset of being content w/taking care of myself and not having any other responsibilities 🤞It’s too expensive out here for a baby rn 😆 I also agree with not putting extra products if you’re using a hydrating shampoo/conditioner. It helps the scalp a lot ✨
Lmfao 😂😂😂 The way she threw that baby 😭😭😭
Out of curiosity, have you been experiencing hair shedding? I stopped using Wetline for a couple weeks and my hair shedding has drastically reduce.
it's been kinda the opposite for me actually! I noticed last washday and I was a little shook.
