    Join me on a must-do sightseeing journey through the heart of London on some of the city’s most iconic bus routes! Starting from Paddington Station, this route is perfect for tourists wanting to take in the historic landmarks, bustling shopping streets, and famous sights of London, all from the comfort of a red double-decker bus! 🚍🇬🇧
    📍 Route Highlights:
    Bus 7 (Paddington Station to John Lewis, Oxford Street):
    We start from Paddington Station, passing by Praed Street and the famous Hilton Hotel.
    Enjoy the vibrant energy of Edgware Road before reaching the grand Marble Arch and the iconic shopping destination, Oxford Street.
    Take in views of Selfridges and the stylish shops of Bond Street before hopping off at John Lewis for the next part of the adventure!
    Bus 98 (Oxford Street to New Oxford Street):
    After shopping at John Lewis, we switch to Bus 98, continuing along bustling Oxford Street, passing through Oxford Circus and stopping at Tottenham Court Station.
    The journey continues onto New Oxford Street, where you’ll see the historic heart of London’s West End.
    Bus 8 (New Oxford Street to Liverpool Street Station):
    Switching to Bus 8, we ride through the historic streets of High Holborn, past Chancery Lane, and across the impressive Holborn Viaduct.
    Soak in the views of St Paul’s Cathedral and the surrounding area of Cheapside before we pass the Bank of England and finally arrive at Liverpool Street Station.
    Walking Tour (The Royal Exchange and Surroundings):
    From Liverpool Street Station, we take a scenic walk to The Royal Exchange, passing landmarks like The Ivy City Garden, the historic Victorian Bath House, and the elegant streets of Throgmorton Avenue.
    Admire the grand architecture of The Royal Exchange, a true London treasure!
    Bus 8 & 98 (Back to John Lewis, Oxford Street):
    After our walking tour, we hop back on Bus 8 and then switch to Bus 98 for the return journey, heading back to John Lewis on Oxford Street, the perfect spot to end a fun-filled day in the city.

    To fully appreciate a walk or a bus route you must do it from both directions. I’ve walked the London Loop and the Capital Ring. Walking the London Loop in both directions is an achievement. Walking the Capital Ring is a delight.

      13.00. I once stayed at a hotel near Thame in Oxfordshire which claimed to be five minutes from the tube. I was nonplussed because I knew for a fact the underground didn’t go that far!

      17.30. Surely these aren’t the Christmas lights.
      Every time you board a bus you film the destination screen and, usually, I think “that’s interesting!”. When you suddenly get off I feel slightly disappointed

      33.50 I was called up for two years national service in the army and was interviewed by various military personal in a building in Red Lion Square. They soon wrote and told me they didn’t want me. It was one of the happiest days in my life.
