Assuming your RG is equipped with AFTERMARKET Rockford Fosgate speakers, right? "Harley-Davidson Audio Powered by Rockford Fosgate" systems are flashed at the dealership. If this is aftermarket, there are two ways: 1) If you have fader control, the radio is likely flashed to the "2014+ All Bikes" setting. 2) Remove the fairing and disconnect the BLUE wire from the TM400X4ad or M5-800X4 amplifier. If the audio does not turn-on, the radio was likely flashed to 1 of 2 possible settings: "1 Amp / 2 Speaker Upper Fairing" or the "Rockford Fosgate 2014+ All Bikes" setting.
Why/what is the purpose of the second remote wire, the video depicts the remote wire on the power/ground harness being plugged into the bike, but there is another remote wire on the T harness that isn't mentioned
The white female "Amp Turn On" is when using the DSR1 signal processor. The other remote turn on wire that should be used is attached to the B+/GND/REM power block that attaches to the amplifier.

Yes. This is the maximum clean output from the radio pre-amp regardless of the flash setting.
I thought it’s plug and play. Why do I need to lift the tank?
We run the large B+ and GND cables under the gas tank. On Rushmore models it’s easy to remove when it’s low on gas.

We are installing on my wife's 21 road glide and the amp turn on wire has a female plug just like the bike has. The video shows a male plug.
