      First, make sure the radio FADER is centered. Then, at 16:17 be sure to connect the saddlebag harness to the amplifier's REAR OUTPUT Y-ADAPTOR. Double check these items because these will cause no output on the rear if not done properly.

    Shouldn’t the saddlebag power cables disconnect outside of the bags to allow for complete bag removal?

      You can make that modification to your system if you choose by moving the grommet to the other side. Be sure you don't have any slack in the cable where it could catch and wrap the entire wiring harness around your back wheel.

    Will subwoofers be able to go into my saddlebags on my 19 ultra classic with the touring pack speakers in the way?

      Hi Brandon, You'll need to remove the TourPak itself to get the enclosures in/out. You can't detach the saddlebag because the subwoofer enclosure covers the new Allen Wrench button heads screws that replace the quick releases that secure the bags to the bike.

    Whats the difference between this stage 3 and the pmx stage 3?

      The HD14-STG3 have 6.5" fairing, 6x9" saddlebag and 800W amplifier. The HD14-PMX-STG3 includes the PMX-HD14 source unit. Links to the product details are below:

    Can i go ahead and do the full installation, then go get it flashed at my local dealer. Or do i need to do the flash first.

      You can flash the radio afterwards. However, we only recommend playing the radio at low volume until you get it flashed.

    Does this kit have some bass with the new 800 watt amp and speakers

      Hi Diesel RC, the Stage-3 above is a great 4-speaker system, but it's limited to 6.5" drivers on the fairing and 6x9" on the saddlebags. Adding more power to these drivers will not improve bass response because we're dealing with "open air" acoustics. However, there is a DSR1 "loop" in the Stage-3 harness that allows you to add a DSP in the future. Although this will help smooth out any dips/peaks in your response, it still won't provide any meaningful bass response (regardless of what a UA-camr said). Since you're looking for bass, we would really recommend the next step in our line-up with the Stage-5 that's equipped with 10" subwoofers & removable enclosures. These are NOT subwoofer rings that use the saddlebag as an enclosure. The subwoofer enclosures in the Stage-5 are roto-molded HDPE so they can withstand the pressure needed to create bass (woofer rings rely on the plastic saddlebag and flex, resulting in SPL loss). You can learn more about the Stage-5 and watch our Street Glide & Road Glide installation videos here: rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/hd14-stg5/

    can you use a line-leveler instead of flashing?

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  Рік тому +1

      For the kit above, everything is plug-and-play, so there are no provisions for "line levelers" which are just passive devices that "knock down" the signal, after signal processing. These don't prevent the radio from prematurely clipping at those lower frequencies where the boost is present, it's really just putting a band-aid over a huge cut. The best way to get clean (unclipped) audio is flash the radio. This would be equivalent to stitching up the cut, eliminating the need for a band-aid to begin with.
      Please note, (regardless if the radio is flashed or not), the GT 3.2, 6.5 and GTS radios always clip at 3 bars from MAX, so keep the volume level at 4 bars or lower.

    Why no DSP ?

    • @rockfordfosgate
      @rockfordfosgate  Рік тому

      You can since the T-Harness includes a loop for the optional DSR1 signal processor. We only show installation of items included in the kit.
