Woodturning : When geometry reveals surprises😳

If you create geometric shapes using collages of different parts, you're bound to be in for some surprises when you turn them on a wood lathe. The lathe offers many possibilities for creating unique and beautiful pieces, but only if you respect a few principles of geometry, otherwise the work won't be satisfactory.
In this video, I use different types of wood such as ash and jabota to create nuances.
The work is finished with carnauba wax.
This woodworking project on the lathe can be done by a beginner as long as you know how to use woodworking machinery safely.
I film my projects in my woodworking workshop so that I can share my ideas with you, in a relaxing ASMR-style atmosphere, without music or words. You'll be lulled by the ambient, natural sounds of the workshop.

Si vous créez des formes géométriques en utilisant des collages de différentes pièces, vous aurez certainement des surprises lorsque vous les tournerez sur un tour à bois. Le tour offre de nombreuses possibilités pour créer des pièces uniques et belles, mais à condition de respecter quelques principes de géométrie, sinon le travail ne sera pas satisfaisant.
Dans cette vidéo, j'utilise différentes essences de bois comme le frêne et le jabota pour créer des nuances.
Le travail est fini avec de la cire de carnauba.
Ce projet de travail du bois sur le tour peut être réalisé par un débutant à condition de savoir utiliser les machines à bois en toute sécurité.
Je filme mes projets dans mon atelier de menuiserie afin de pouvoir partager mes idées avec vous, dans une ambiance relaxante de type ASMR, sans musique ni paroles. Vous serez bercé par les sons ambiants et naturels de l'atelier.

Si crea formas geométricas utilizando collages de diferentes piezas, seguro que se lleva algunas sorpresas al tornearlas en un torno de madera. El torno ofrece muchas posibilidades para crear piezas únicas y bellas, pero sólo si se respetan algunos principios de la geometría, de lo contrario el trabajo no será satisfactorio.
En este vídeo, utilizo diferentes tipos de madera, como fresno y jabota, para crear matices.
El trabajo se termina con cera de carnauba.
Este proyecto de carpintería en el torno puede ser realizado por un principiante siempre que sepa utilizar la maquinaria para madera de forma segura.

it depends on the quality of the CA glue.. I use high quality glue and some of my pieces are over 10 years old and have never moved..

I'm curious why you chose to use ca glue instead of the usual wood glue? It seems like you would get more reliable, allover adhesion with wood glue spread over the whole surface.

I've used a special cyanoacrylate glue for wood, the advantage of which is that it dries instantly.

Very pretty! I love the shape and the design. ❤ It would also be interesting to see you repurpose the offcuts of wood you've glued together. All those different shapes and colours of wood from various other projects, put together in a non-symmetrical pattern like this project stirs my imagination.
