I have the polk signs 2 Thinking about getting the react, or the sings s4. Is this an upgrade from the signa S2? Or would going with the S4 be the better option. I love mine but I do wish the vocals were a little higher because I like it’s super strong and loud during action scenes but when talking I have to turn it up from time to time
No. It doesn't matter where in the room a subwoofer is placed because the sound is not directional like music or voices are. Think about thunder. It sounds the same no matter which direction it is coming from. The only sound that ever comes out of a subwoofer is a BOOM!
Hey man, nice video :) What are your thoughts on the HT S400 compared to the S100f? I had the s100f and am looking to upgrade (on the cheaper side) but cant seem to find a good comparison video or article on the two. I haven't been able to hear the HTS400 in person yet, but Ive been really impressed with the sound from my s100f, so wondering how they will stack up against each other.
Hi. The soundbars compared (no sub) are similar but the s400 does sound mildly better. It's when you add the subwoofer on s400 you have a wildly different experience. At the 100 dollar range, I do prefer the Vizio 2.1 with subwoofer more than the s100f. In 2023 we should also be seeing new affordable soundbars
Hi thanks for the question. I own all 3 and the Sony has the most cinema like experience because of the powerful subwoofer. For dialogue the b650 is ok and the q600b is my least favorite. based on value and sound quality, I prefer the Sony s400.

I don't think it's like this speaker if it wasn't connected to my computer. The speakers Mids are Soo cranked up, it makes it sound really muddy. I have it connected to my computer and have used an EQ to make it sound good. I really like the sound. But I'm still pondering returning it. Cause if I decide to use it on anything else. I think the booster miss and weak treble would make me hate it
Whats annoying is that this speaker has a 3.5mm jack in the back next to the usb port that does nothing. To get to it, you habe to peel off the sticker panel next to the usb port
No. In fact subwoofers usually sound great when they are fired into a corner. 🤌 One great trick for sub placement is to start with sub firing forward, then move your head all throughout the room looking for the highest output. Once you've found the highest output, place the sub in THAT location and viola, you've found the most optimum subwoofer location..! (Again these areas tend to be in the corner with the port firing into the corner) Best of luck!

Hi! It does NOT have atmos. I wish it did but it does not.
It has Dolby digital. Not Dolby Atmos. Still can give pretty solid surround experience though

Yes if you plug in via hdmi arc, your TV remote should control both

Put the woofer near your ears and close your eyes .. Vol. up to 60% .. That's how you tested your strong ears 😁
