I’m aqa English literature b and the paper wasn’t even that bad, which is even more worrying as the grade boundaries will probably be higher. I just misinterpreted the extract a bit for section a and also made loads of silly mistakes lol
Just got recommended this video after finding out there is no further work I can do to improve my A level grades due to the cancellation. I need AAA to get into UCL but I fear I might be given ABB. This video has completely turned my mood around. Now, I realise that if I do not get in, my life will not be over, the sky will not fall, the ground beneath my feet will not swallow me whole. Instead, I could be lead down an even better path. Thank you so much for sharing your story and giving me the motivation I needed to stop crying, get out of bed, and keep pursuing my dreams!
i failed my alevels twice back in 2012. i was going through depression and insane denial. i got into uni by doing a btec and now ive completed a bachelors in chem eng. alevels arent for everyone and after uni they mean nothing because when you graduate people focus only on ur degree and job. my advice to anyone struggling is to approach ur teacher, drop a subject, take a gap year. its not the end of the world if you fail
In 2012 I was rejected from 5 (yes 5!) dance studies college courses. I feel you as I was destroyed too. But after training hard putting in the hours and after a HELLA long road, in 2017 I graduated with a 2.1 BA Hons degree in Dance Studies from a British University (I’m irish ☘️) work your butt off, nothing can stop you. You WILL achieve your goals 😁💪🏻❤️
This is late but, i got the same。 I was expecting A*s and As but i looked at my results and saw 3 Bs i was so disappointed. I felt like a failure. It's taken me 4 years to get over it.

For my as levels I got AAB and I was like no way economics is my strongest subject and so I got it remarked and went up 10 points which took me to a solid A. It really does make me wonder how many students didn’t get the results they should have done and should have gone for a remark.
Wow. I really wish I had done the same with English literature and psychology. I got straight A’s at AS-level and then ABB at A-level, which I definitely felt like didn’t reflect my full potential.
Thank you for sharing this story. I have an exam tomorrow which I don't feel at all confident about, you make think that its not the end of the world if it goes a bit wrong. Thank you!!! (also love your channel) x
omg I’m happy to get a c 😭 Like no matter how much I study I always seem to do so bad in tests and exams, I think a lot of it is to do with me lacking confidence in what I’m writing and then not answering some questions then to find out I would have gotten it right if I had written what I thought at the time 😭
My B, C and E in AS Level Chemistry modules averaged out to a C. No matter how hard I worked I just didn’t get it. For me to do well I need to understand things and despite spending hours looking at it I couldn’t retain the content because the concepts were so abstract for me. That kind of sucked when you place such high standards on yourself but I know I tried my best in every exam and now confirmed science wasn’t for me lol.
I am proud of you for sharing this story, and I am so glad that you feel confident in sharing such stories with us. Today we had our last exam of the year, and I could say that I failed, but the results haven’t come yet. So I truly understand your pain due to a past fail as well (when I was in 6th grade -> though I studied quite hard). Anyhow, I hope that your grades could become all A’s again! 🌻💛✨~
i am also so focused on grades and if it gets worse than i wanted it to, you couldn't talk to me for the day. and well i know grades are not everything but it's honestly so important to me cause it is something staying and something i can hold on. this video gave me so much hope, so really thank you!!
i really needed this... at the end of june i'm getting my results that are gonna decide if i'm getting accepted into med school or not (in germany it's a little different than in the UK) and I can't sleep because I'm so afraid of not getting in. Thank you for telling your story! I feel a little better now lol xxx
Really needed this 😔 I’m doing my AS exams rn and I feel like I’m failing myself and will get Bs and Cs. I’ve always worked hard and got top grades but year 12 was.. I basically just fucked up. No excuses. I don’t want to resit because many unis look down upon it, especially for Medicine I think, and idk how I’m going to be able to get A*AA at A levels.. I also can’t apply for foundation courses because I don’t have any extenuating circumstances. All I can tell myself right now is to have faith. 🔮
Great video! Although I really thought you failed. But I understand your point. I remember how a B really felt like a failure in O and A levels. It must have been really hard for you to re-build your confidence. Do make a video on how you stay confident and get so many things done!

I’m currently feeling the same about my GCSEs because I don’t feel as though I’m going to be able to reach the criteria (7) for my sixth form. I’m so scared because you need a chemistry and maths biology or physics a level for medicine I am sooo scared. And btw what course do you do at university if you don’t mind me asking?
I was really afraid that I would fail my Introduction to Mathematical Modeling class in my first semester at Georgia State University because of how much sleep I was missing due to my roommates and how much I was really struggling with the material, but I eventually learned to spend more time studying at the library rather than my apartment and found a steady way to go over my notes. There were four tests and one final exam in class. So, for the tests I went from T1: F, T2: D, T3: C, to T4: D again, and I was told that if I had gotten an A on the Final Exam, then that grade would replace one of my lower grades. Extra credits points were also applied to the tests throughout and I got as many of those as I could. And this is all besides all the online assignments and quizzes are done on emath. I don't know what I got on the final exam because they're not allowed to tell us or I didn't know where to look, but apparently, it was enough. I learned to study better for the rest of my classes this way, too, which saved me in the end.
3B’s isn’t bad! I’m in year 12 and I’m predicted a passss an effing pas just because i moved to the uk to do sixth form. Lord Jesus was that a bad decision. I swear yall education system is different as oppose to where I came from. If I even pass , I would be happy lol
They base potential grades/ target grades off of a lot of factors my target grade for gcse is a pass aswell, I’m in set 1 for majority of my classes yet my grades aren’t expected above 4.
