It is so much nicer to restore it than discarded! Thanks for the how-to! What a great job saving the window. There is nothing like a beautiful stained glass window with the sun shining through! Enjoyed and take care!

    That was very cool...
It has to be a bit intimidating to tackle a project like this.
    Excellent work

It wasn't easy and I almost regret buying it. But patience and determination prevailed so now I'm glad :-)

I often think to myself “I could do that if I had the right tools” (which is probably not true!!🤣)when I watch your videos. Not this one- this project was above and beyond with your care and knowledge of what to do. Wow, it turned out beautiful! So glad you saved that window!

This one should have be been given a Full Restoration. Or a complete Releading. As soon as you get it out of the sash you do a rubbing or new cartoon. Paper on top and use lead came or a carbon stick to rub over the window to make your pattern. You can number them with a waterproof marker on tape and soak them in a shallow tub overnight. Much cleaner with less razor scrapping.

That's a really magnificent job Tom, very impressive. I certainly got the idea that it must have been a long haul but just how long did it actually take? Cheers mate.

I started it last August. I worked on it on and off for a week or so. I ran into a couple problems with the glass so I got a little discouraged about the project so set it aside. It was probably not until December when I started it again. I probably have 40-50 hours into it. Longer than it should have taken.
