BVM F18 1.5.5 scale Maiden Day

Maiden flight (+ 3 more) on the new BVM F18 1.5.5 scale w K260. Had flameout on maiden from air bubble in fuel line... landed w/o incident. Special thanks to Clewiston Flyers RC club. Will be starting into more maneuvering in the coming flights, along with weathering the aircraft adding missiles etc. BVM makes outstanding models, it flies great! #BVMF18 #f18BVM #kingtechturbines #RCvidoes #BVMjets

The intake has its "Blue Note" just like the real F-18. An RC jet with a Blue Note is a whole nother level of cool. Awesome video!

Think of the old engines on the C-5 Galaxy, the Avro Vulcan, A-10, etc. Lots of aircraft have them for different reasons and at different times. Some on the ground, some in the air, while a few have both. The C-5 has a few. Some helicopters have it.
I also tend to liken it to cars as well. Not everyone agrees with that. It has always been a mechanical thing to me. At certain RPM, some exhausts really wail. Some intakes at certain speeds howl as well. Lamborghini Diablo, McLaren F1 (and the majority of V-12's really), Porsche Carrera GT, a lot of 911's, Lexus LFA, etc.

This is what scale flights look like. Unlike those that thrashes their models around like it was a stunt plane. Great to see.
