Not with a smartphone it seems, because the zooms remain very sharp unlike other videos on smartphone with horrible digital zoom, well designed editing also with a little slow motion at the end

How is the white smoke generated? Is it just for show, or does it occur because one is flying at full throttle?

Yes it's actually real, it's turbine engine....there are RC models with dual turbine engine as well...
