Things you don't know about this video: we had plans to go to Córdoba but we were too tired and decided to stay and SLEEP. Also: we still can't believe how GORGEOUS Sevilla is :O you guys, please check if your flight has entertainment on board or plug chargers cause I totally missed that info and I couldn't even work on my laptop (I had 20% battery!). Drawing was so fun though, I'm so happy I had such a big window of un-interrupted time just to sketch :)
I love the mix of music and then no music and the real background sounds. It’s really relaxing...but I’m not sure why. Such a pretty vlog. Have a lovely week

I love both with and without music. Parts without music are especially satisfying if you can hear the sounds of whatever is happening in the video

I love the way you choose moments in video to be quiet. They are about pausing and feeling subtle things, which I wouldn't pay attention to with the background music. This is kinda small meditation in the video :3

I do love the moments without music because oftentimes you use them to focus on nice noises (birds, people chatting or the murmur of the coffee pot) ! But I like that it alternates with background music as well 😊

I always like the music choices you guys make. They set the mood for the scenes but the moments of silence or natural sounds balance it all out nicely. So I agree with the overall consensus: BOTH! :) PS. I need that middle-finger t-shirt!
I much prefer it when you alternate clips with music and those without(with some background noise like when you are on the streets or sound of spoon against the glass when you are mixing a beverage). Fran, I love your vlogs and I gotta say they have improved in quality tremendously over the past few years. Im excited for the next one!

Your vlogs are always getting me in the mood to draw/paint and your art is amazing. I'm glad you had fun doing a workshop. I actually like videos with no music or with music at low volume so I can also hear the background noises. It's ASMR, i guess :))). I feel like music is better for speedpainting parts. I love the no music bits, especially when natural sounds can be heard. Everytime I drive my car I never play the stereo cuz natural sounds are way more relaxing

Actually, I think it makes it more cinematic to shift the tone of the video through having background music then not. It adds moments for the audience to rest and feel peaceful, while the music breaks up the monotony and acts as a interlude into the next segment.

I like the way you mix it up, especially like in this video. It gives me a lot of moments where I appreciate the visuals and the "story" element more, and it stimulates different senses (?). I also like how real background noises mix with music sometimes, it makes it more... real? Justo asistí a unos talleres en La Galería roja hace un mes! Fue una experiencia inolvidable! Ojalá hayáis tenido la oportunidad de ver la plaza de España, el parque María Luisa, la Giralda, el río Guadalquivir o las callejuelas al estilo judío del centro! Aunque no haya podido asistir, me ha hecho ilusión que hayas visitado mi país y la ciudad de al lado. Sobre la música, también me gusta la combinación de a veces silencio y a veces ambientación musical, al final es algo que define tu estilo y que de algún modo nosotros reconocemos. When it comes to background music I LOVE how you showcase how things naturally sound. I feel like I'm there and it's actually relaxing. Like for example the sound of birds in the morning that remind me of my home country PR, or the sound of the cars, windows closing, trains moving, etc. I feel like I'm there or like watching a movie. It's nice especially because the sound is quieter. The background is okay too but I prefer natural sounds. I honestly really enjoyed your editing. :)

Fran, la plantita que tiene la hoja rota es por que tiene una oruga que se la está comiendo, revisala bien ya que se camuflan por que son verdes del mismo color de la hoja. Solo sacala de tu planta y déjala en un parque (a la oruga) y tu planta mejorará. 🌼
The fiddleleaf fig with the chunk missing might be being eaten by something. If the size of the gash is increasing, the pest is still there. If it isn’t, it had a pest in the past and the plant is now just dropping that part because it can’t keep it alive of course.
The possible pest might be spider mites. I suggest getting a neem oil spray and spraying down all of the plants you have. Every week or every other week. Neem oil will take care of any pests and it’s used for organic gardening! You should also spray any and every plant you buy before bringing it back to your studio just in case it’s got something.
Always get the best looking plants otherwise the plants you already have could be damaged as a result!!

Btw! I know you like being environmentally friendly. I have been using the EcoEgg for my laundry. Its super cost friendly, no big bottles of detergent or over using it, you can do 200-and-something washes with it. In short I love it :P

I love the mix of real sounds/music you used! To answer your question, I think using background music is only really needed when you can very clearly hear people talking in the background, like hear their conversations, because that personally distracts me completely from what I'm looking at.
