Due to its larger caliber it is much more difficult to rack than the Bergmann/Lignose 3A or 2A. This is perhaps one of the main reasons why such a design is not seen on more modern handguns, the complexity does not outweigh the convenience. But I for one think it's simply awesome...
@@miketyson8933 They come up for sale on Legacy and Handguns of the World, along with other vendors. But they are always more than a couple grand, quite expensive! But I do want to get into Japanese pistols eventually, maybe something cheaper like a Type 94 Nambu or 14 to start! But I do love how miniature the Baby Nambu is, but maybe I could get one just for the channel!
I bought 1 in 1992... From cursory research, I believe that only a small batch came in through Woodland Hills Industries ( DBA Norinco) in California . I got it from the Late, Great gunsmith Art Morrison Who taught at Yavapai gunsmith college . I believe they're very rare because I don't know any one out of my large circle of enthusiasts that has even happened by one.
@@MoxJet629Sounds to me like you're butthurt about your classic looking favourite pistols being compared to a hi point, even though there are AKs with more differences in features and machining than this pistol and a hi point because it is, at it's core, a direct blowback striker fired 9mm and would naturally be compared to the performance of a hi point.
That’s very interesting. It’s been around a while but only has a certain following. As I’ve gotten older I’m in need of a lighter carry gun. My full size 1911A1 Colt , and even My Model 22 .40 caliber Glock are getting too heavy. Granted, I’m 6’3” and 270 lbs, but I’m pushing 70 and no longer that guy I was 30 years ago. But neither is Tom Selleck, or Keven Costner.🔥
I’d go for a single stack Glock model 43 or 42 depending on if u want 9mm or if .380 is better for u!! I got a 42 but only because the 43 wasn’t out back then. Even fully loaded the thing is so light and it just disappears in a pocket
Will racking it slow cause failures like riding the slide forward in other guns? (Causes the bullet to pop up in front of the extractor, so the gun won't go into battery without having to force it in, by pushing the slide forward hard enough for the extractor to snap onto the rim of the bullet).
It's so unique. Even though I despise the Commie Chinese military corporation, this is so fascinating. Yes, the recoil spring is 500 times harder to Einhand, but it's still cool.

Certainly is! "One handers" like these are super cool!
now you need a JoLoAr!
I’d buy one just to feel cool racking that slide with my finger 😂
Anyway you can find a Japanese Baby Nambu? Love to see one in action!

I remember seeing this as a kid and looking back thinking it was a memory from a fever dream.
Eins being German for one it literally means one handed gun
Piece of history that still works.
I love these kinds of guns the way they look the way they are so unique
These one handed guns you've been showing are some amazing pieces of engineering. Yea. I'm working backwards through your videos at the moment. Lol
The bigger the caliber the tougher the spring will be and the difficult itll be to rack it with a finger
Ok

This is BeAuTiFuL 😻
Very cool mechanism
Looks like a fancy high point
It looks nothing like a hi point. Have you ever even seen one?

The Model 77B uses a gas-delayed blowback, so more similar in function to an HK P7
@@Gunstorian Ooooh... Guess I stand corrected, that's pretty neat and ambitious for Norinco!
That is really awesome! I would love to just study the action of this fine pistol! Thanks for sharing!

A .380 HP with enough mustard would probably be fine for you.

Looks like if hi-point had a grandfather
That’s so cool
It's that nice kind of "different" that didn't work but it's cool anyway.
When he pulled the trigger i was like 😳 wtf
I've never seen this but I like it.
Very cool!!
Cool gun !
How much ?
Where ?
Круть невероятная!
The name of this gun is very beautiful👌
Chinese ? Looks awesome by the way.
Yep, made by Norinco sometime in the 1990s
So cool 😎
Why are people saying it looks like a hi point? Hi points have massive tall slides, google what one actually looks like.

What was the little bit that popped up on the trigger guard when he pulled the trigger?A poor Brit who doesn’t get near guns!😢🇬🇧🇺🇸💯👌🏻
Looks like a high point
Not in the slightest
That's where hi point got it from
Tooooo nice love it
Is hi points based on this
Or the Stallard Maverick JS-9
Good 🔫
Norinco is the best firearms maker
So that’s where hipoint got there design from
VIELEN DANK FÜR DIE ERKLÄRUNG. EINE UMARMUNG AUS ARGENTINIEN.
does the weird trigger guard thing work like an m4 charging handle where it only goes back when you rack it and not when you fire?
That's right brotha, its non-reciprocating
If this was a airsoft spring wepon I will get it no matter what
Looks like a hi point lol

60fps ??
Seems like it would create bad trigger finger habits
Cagney and lacey
I want one
Unnecessarily complex
Looks like hi point
Can’t wait till high point does this .

No gloves needed with snap caps
Almost Taurus amount of rough manufacturing. Still an interesting firearm-in 9x19mm Parabellum.
Cursed gun
