Thanks, man! Here, in Europe, is near impossible to watch Indycar in any TV channel, so... we can only count on you to see these races!

Like this two-race format. It what WTCC and V8 Supercars do and it's real thrilling having two races on one weekend.

@ColeYote It's actually the way that was done way back in the USAC days in occasion so it's a bit of a throwback, having 2 races in a weekend is something that alot of GT series do anyways. British Tourkng Cars do it like this to, and FIA GT1 has 2 full races as well, but one is a quali race which is a bit weird.

BTTC (British Touring Car Championship) actually run 3 races per race week-end.
There are only 10 meetings a year with ridiculous gaps between meetings at the height of Summer.
    Apparently it's what we, "want"......

They do that weird two-race thing V8 Supercars do at Detroit, eh?

It have to do with both tradition and sponsorship... For the tradition, blame Louis Meyer in 1933. By the way, spraying the champagne? That was Dan Gurney in 1967... And drinking it? That was the european aristocrat that was sponsoring grand prix races for years in europes.
As for as sponsorship goes? G.H Mumm pays a lot of money so that their bottle could be used in F1... While, Milk? Well, Muscle Milk is thinking of sponsoring so that they have their milk in there ;)

great grid of drivers too bad these cars are silent nowadays... CART cars of 93-96 where the most awsome formula cars , even more than the f1 early 90's Theey should bring back that badass look. thumbs of if you agree!

1993? i agree with, sort of. 94-96? absolutely not, those things were some of the ugliest racecars i've ever seen. yes, counting the overdone aerokit dw12s from 2015-2017.

I remember a time when they used to say : "Gentlemen ! start your engines !" then you heard a huge explosion ! nowadays it's sounds like electric engines :(

Really 2million to fix a track but nothing for actual city. I'm not I just though that was funny some things should be left untold. I live close to Detroit I'm mad I missed out on something like this.

WTF ?! why Indy winners drink milk rather than champagne ? aren't they mature enough or is thiis another aspect of US puritanism ?

    • @chuckl.s121

It's been almost a 90 year tradition since Louis Meyer won his second Indianapolis 500 and drank buttermilk because his mother said drinking milk on a hot day was the best. Since then, people have just drank milk when they win the 500. Except one time in 1993 when Fittipaldi drank orange juice instead...what was he thinking.

    • @ulysse21

@@chuckl.s121 Interesting. Shows how the lobbies rule the business. I know why Fittipaldi did it. His family is a big orange producer in Brazil. Thus, one have to think about who's behind the milk "tradition". If it became a tradition, that means someone is pushing behind. Milk industry is very rich.
