Awesome work I have a td 4.2t stroked just had it fully rebuilt by southern engines all the good gear inside already had 12mm and 18g but freshened it all up ceramic pistons etc 24 pound of boost plazmaman Intake Beaudesert straight through exhaust 260hp at the wheels 750nm. I thought about a duramax, Cummins, or Barra conversion even looked at a Ford Godzilla supercharged and a 5.6 Nissan vk56vd supercharged for something different then most have done but ended up just freshening the td $ wise I was infront and especially for what I do work wise it seemed the better option. Carnt wait to see more on the conversion and see how it goes nice work.
@@lachytactor3477 no worries will do just got a few tidy up jobs to finish on it and rego and will make a video. it will lift the front wheel if you boot it What are your thoughts on chassis bracing? Thinking pull the sub tank and psr brace it from engine mount back will you do yours with the engine swap?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Tom! I did the 6.6 LBZ swap myself with a Nissan manual transmission, so I know how much work it will take ... but it's worth it !!!
looking forward to the series lads. Video idea that no one seems to cover on the US engine swaps is the sourcing, importing process. love to see that aspect of the project.
Thanks mate 👍 good suggestion as well, will include some details or do a little video on that side of things. In this case the engine was purchased from Momentum 4x4 who imported it from the states.

Go the Patrol! 🛻🤙😎
a set of clearview mirrors would complete the build i reckon
Duel 4 inch intakes you obviously did it cos you can ,but it would not be necessary, looks tough thou.
Definitely the case with the original TD build, but will be functional as well for the Duramax build.
