I’ve started just hitting like while the video begins. I always know I’ll like the video and this one was no exception! I loved this movie when I saw it on cable, and watched it too many times. Great analysis and background on the actors and story!
Excellent review, Morgan. I totally agree with your evaluation, especially the part about how as kids we'd identify with the teens, because every parent in the film is portrayed as totally useless! 😁👍🏻
Holy shit! I never knew Wes directed porn! At first I thought your statement was falsified, but after looking it up, I couldn't believe what I was reading wow!
21 Jump Street does not hold up especially well after all these years (that hasn't prevented me from owning the box set on DVD), but oh man, I loved that show in its prime!
If you have criticism about the movie's ending then look to the studio exec's at New Line who forced it against the director's wishes. I think a better way to introduce Wes Craven in your bio sketch is to note that he was raised in a religious family that prevented him to see any movies (besides Disney) until he moved away in college. His young adult years he was a professor of literature and then got into film making in the early 1970's where the recent loosening of censorship made porn and horror films easy money makers.
Nick Corri is great, his performances in Miami Vice is really rememberable. Fantastic acting!
Hell yeah...my favorite series about a burnt dream mastering child murderer.
A great review!
Plus I laughed out loud several times.
What made "Nightmare" so good was it's creepiness rather than outright scariness.

Thank you!

And by the way… there is no shame in being a fan of 21 Jump Street!!! I was right there with you!!!

@@MorganRichter I've had the box set since 2011, a fact that I've kept to myself until now. Guilty pleasure.

Good review, but I have to differ on your characterization of "Gotcha!" I loved that movie!
