Supposedly, it works against all types of modern ATGMS, even those with fire and forget capability. The problem is that it's not available on export tanks, so no one really knows what it can do.

TBF all top tier rounds ingame are way too underpowered compared to their IRL counterpart a good example is abrams silver bullet m829a1 has an estimated penetration of 600mm at 2km so yea you dont want that ingame, and if increasing the armor is the solution to balance it out then raising the pen to 600+ doesnt change a thing having the extended gun only increase the pen by a miniscule amount might suck but its similar to 2a5/2a6 if you look at the difference in their round its tiny also 510+ pen will perform same until its 630 so only the 2a6 has the penetration advantage unless your facing russian sideskirts that sometimes overperforms my main issue with the chinese tanks are its autoloaders since im pretty sure its same as the russian ones on the T72 last note ZTZ99 and leo are no where near the being a sexy tank its the CCVL
@@jPlanerv2 They use Russian ammo testing standard, where 80% of rounds have to get to the stated penetration, where nato needs 50% rounds to do that as far as I know, that could be why western ammo has lowered values too. Or so the people said a while ago
The snail did changes some maps. Both Poland, normal and winter, have changes (Alpha cap now have a different terrain depression on the winter both big and small version, and the rocks as said in the video on the lake), same story for Aral where some train cars are added to the norther right spawn to prevent the use of the hull down position (but you can still aim under or between them). Honestly i rather prefer a changelog just about map editing, even when the map is just another "version" (with Poland now, they demonstrate that there are two of the "same" map but totally different). Still Golden Quarry have a glitched steel beam in the river to Alpha that eats shots even aiming between the empty spaces, not to mention the fences eating up even APFSDS😒

That camera system on the top is exclusive to China and what it does is when an enemy lazer rangefinds you that camera on top there will turn to the optics that just lazed you and blast a Lazer beam into the camera system. For train transport. The tanks are way to thicck for Chinese railway. Still it’s a poor excuse for no side era, even tho their export tanks have side era and APS systems (vt-4).
Are you talking about putting it on the hull sides? They probably do have kits for them but since China isn't at war they don't have them installed as they put unnecessary weight if your going to just display it.
I'm pretty sure the ztz99a has a 6.5 second relaod irl, same as the t80u and bvm. There's sufficient videos to suggest this online. The thing is pretty sure China has denied any cooperation with Russia on their auto loader, whereas evidence suggests that Russia either showed them their new auto loader or China stole the designs....
Type99 is a copycat of t-72m that they bought in the Middle East. Since they copied autoloader from it, I'm pretty sure it's not 6.5. And installing a loading mechanism from T-80 would require them to basically redesign the tank and chinese didn't had acces to it early enough to do so, they wouldn't be compatable with all the ammunition from T-90, which it is. T-72 autoloader also can be faster than 7.1, as well as slower based on type of ammunition and it's position in the carousel. So no, it's not the same as mechanism as T-80U or BVM.

Same size, same height similar roadwheels, etc. The type99A has nothing to do with any Russian tanks. It's significantly more advance and incorporate western influence in the mix and it's a uniquely Chinese vehicle.

the APS on chinese MBTs are unique. instead of jamming signals, they're high powered lasers that go "no u" when the tank is lased.

Gaijin uses its own penetration calculator for rounds. This artificially nerfs the rounds. You don’t want a top tier tank with 700mm pen at 2km

Ive grinded everything for china and its 1000% worth it.
My advice. Stay in 8.7 and grind all the top tier before playing them one at a time. 8.7 China is insanely fun and grinds fast.

Chinese MBTs for domestic use are noticeably less armored than those sent out for export as well
