its crazy I must say it seems like majority of really nice people listen to David Gilmour. People who respect each other, real humans with good manners. This type of music also requires something from its listeners
@@patrikmachac-z7e Some of the old Pink Floyd documentaries said the same about how their crowds (during DSOTM) were contemplative and respectful during shows. I think Gilmour and even Floyd lovers are patient (e.g. enjoying Echoes or Shine On) and reflect on the underlying themes of their music.
We are still comming down from that soaring rendition last night! No words .... Other worldly, lifechanging, sensory overload, mind bending, pure genius!!!!! Thanks for the memories Mr Gilmour!!!!!!!
I've heard people say he "isn't that great" because he doesn't shred. Honestly, I think he should make one of those videos that is like "What people THINK is hard on guitar" and shows him shredding, and then he says "This is what is ACTUALLY hard" and plays this solo. He plays SILKY smooth and lyrically, with tons of feeling behind it, and he has such subtle and nuanced playing that I don't think many people realize that it is VERY hard to replicate. If you ask me, he's one of the best guitar players who has ever lived.
I flew from Costa Rica as well, to watch him on the 5th It will be the best concert I've been, with the one from Roger last December 2nd, 23 I also got to see Iron Maiden on the 2nd, before DG MSG was incredible
Please Please Mr.Gilmour release a DVD of one of the Madison Square Garden concerts. Since I have listened to this man for 51 and know ever note of both of the solos for my all time favorite song. MR.Gilmour hit every single note perfectly as usual. Thank God my brother 8yrs older started me off listening to him at 6yrs old. Mr. Gilmour will always be the master of the stratocaster. ❤

I've heard this song so many times but for some reason this time it bought a tear to my eye. I don't think I've heard it played that well since 1994!! 👌
The guitar solo on comfortably Numb sends a shiver down my spine whenever I hear it, one of the greatest solos played one of the greatest guitarists of all time!
Was there on the 5th up in the nosebleeds. The whole show was fantastic. It’s in my top 10 ever and I’ve seen a thousand live shows in my life. His playing is ethereal and ambient without feeling rushed or overplayed. He got real dirty sounding on Pipers Call which I thought was a highlight. But Comfortably numb was off the charts great. I agree 100 percent and I’ve seen the allman brothers over 84 times. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen, so much so I scored tickets for his MSG close out show tonight. Cheers 🙏

She's going to be as brilliant a musician as you are. Thank you for Pink Floyd.
I was in the cheap seats ($28 if I recall correctly; a fortune for a college freshman) at Nassau Coliseum for the original Wall tour, and (again IIRC) during the CN solo he was lit only by what must have been a 10 kW backlight, aimed straight at us. It was like the god of music was playing! For that moment, we had the best seats in the house. Blessings on the LD who had the brilliance to give us that!
I can only dream of playing my Strat. with the intense feel of what I was part of in NYC last night.....The light show was outstanding and Gilmour was in the Zone for the ending solo that took all of us to another dimension where words are not spoken!!! ❤
