  • How to Add Page Numbers in Word?
In today's tutorial, I'll walk you through the simple steps to insert page numbers in Microsoft Word. Whether you’re formatting a report or setting up a manuscript, page numbers are crucial for navigation and reference. Watch as I show you how to add page numbers, customize their format, and ensure your title page doesn’t get numbered, all with a few clicks.
Steps to Add Page Numbers in Word:
    1. Open Your Document:
    - Start with the Word document you wish to add page numbers to.
    2. Navigate to Insert Tab:
    - Click on the ‘Insert’ tab at the top of the Word interface.
    3. Adding Page Numbers:
    - Click on the ‘Page Number’ button.
    - Choose the location for the page numbers (e.g., top, bottom, margins, or current cursor position).
    - For bottom page numbers, select your preferred alignment (left, center, right) and style
    4. Apply and Exit:
    - Once selected, Word automatically applies the page numbers across the document.
    - Exit the header and footer view by clicking ‘Close Header and Footer’ or pressing the Esc key.
    5. Adjust First Page Numbering:
    - If your first page is a title page and you don’t want it numbered:
    - Double-click any page number to access the Header and Footer tab.
    - Check the ‘Different First Page’ option to remove the number from the first page.
    - To adjust numbering starting from the second page as '1':
    - Click 'Page Number', then 'Format Page Numbers'.
    - In the dialog box, set 'Start at' to 0.
