Whew. I could watch NKFHerping every day.
Wish he could post everyday:((
I'm pretty close to watching every day!
Me too
This channels leads the way for the rest of the Herping community, it is such a great channel!
For some reason its strangely satisfying to me when you show the release of whatever animal you have in your hand -- I love to watch them disappear into the leaves or water or rock crevice, etc. Love that you're educating the masses
I feel like nerodia don't get enough appreciation. Honestly nothing beats walking up and down a creek or lake at night and shining em one after the other.
They have the worst musk ever though. At least in my opinion…. Still love them!
@@willd639 Oh for sure, absolutely horrendous 😂
@@willd639 garter musk is worst in my opinion the smell lingers for hours
@@Oreosucka you r probably correct! Lol
They’re super common but they’re my favorite snakes!
We need footage of the Karen that thought you were poaching deer lol I bet it was hilarious
There's nothing funny about running into a Karen in the woods being a Karen my good man😮
This was a great video. The animals were cool but for me there’s nothing better than walking a creek in the middle of woods.
Favorite herping channel and I've been herping for 50 years
You should check the rocks for green salamander hibernaculum. I found one at DeSoto St. Pk, AL. Ca 20 yrs ago. 15 greens in one crevice. All size classes. It was Feb 2001 or 02.
We had a beaver pond on the property where I grew up in East Texas. My mother notably asked for a 100 yd of chicken wire to encircle her beautiful trees trees around the pond for her 15th wedding anniversary. We lost some massive specimens to beavers, but it was hard to hate them. They were so completely adorable.
Beautiful Scenery, I’d like to check that place out, I’ve only ever found a handful of marbled salamanders here in North Georgia, they’re beautiful, I caught a little ringneck over the summer and it’s the first one I’ve seen in years, Thanks For Sharing, GL&HH 🦎
Id like to fly out to these areas from the uK one day and try my luck.I keep Northern pine snake a bullsnake and a Rat snake.
Awesome video 😊 Thank you. 🐍💕🐍
Great video, good to see a great biodiversity so close to Atlanta.
Great video Noah!! That spotted salamander was huge! Are they always that big? That one water snake was interesting and they definitely looked better wet! Keep up the great work!!
, 😄💙🐬🐊
Please consider publishing your content on Rumble as well, I am leaving youtube over it's censorship and would love to see you over there
Love me some Sandhill Cranes!
Metro Atlanta river I would guess that's the good old Chattahoochee River
Here in Western Kentucky we still got about a month before the timber, cottonmouths and copperheads come out to play😞
Not bad for a February outing.
The fact that the area outdoor area was closed due to Covid is very funny.
Because liberals/democrats fuck everything up
What on Earth!!
Bro You need to come to my cabin in red top mountain lol! Huge snakes! Emerson ga
at 9:05 just to the right of the salamander there is a tail of something
First. And nice video!
Reminds me of snake road
I'd love to know exactly where you were at on this trip

@@theflyingdutchguy9870 thats how i hunt, i pull a 20 foot net gun out of my ass and poach deer in my local park for money
@@pixel3610 LMFAO!😂😂🤣

How do they close the outside due to COVID? Lol.
Because liberals/democrats fuck everything up
Gotta show the Game Warden Karen, Lets see the video!!
Hey Noah..is the yellow coloring on the underside of the ringneck the only color they come in? Very pretty snake nonetheless..I kinda prefer the other water snake (especially wet).. very cool. The brown snake was very cool as well..I guess "color phases" of snakes was on point in this adventure..I'm digging the chunky monkey marbled salamander as well 👍
Around here they’re all yellow, but there are many different subspecies of Ringneck across the country that can be anything from yellow to red and some that transition from yellow to red.
@@NKFherping that's so cool
There is a common myth that Cottonmouths can be found in the extreme North Georgia waterways. In Georgia, the northern part of their habitat is generally south of I-20. This myth gets perpetuated by the fact there are some harmless water snakes that can mimic the Cottonmouth. The only time I have spotted one north of I 20 was in the "hooch" just south of the Buford dam. I also have reason to believe this snake was placed there just so somebody could prove a bet! The Atlanta metro area is at the tip of their habitat, be careful in those waters!
Cottonmouths are actually quite common in parts of far North Georgia, even in montane regions. Mostly in the Northwestern corner of the state.
@@NKFherping You are out maybe 1000X more than I am so I will defer to your knowledge. All I can go by is what I have seen while out. With the exception of that snake in the "hooch" I spoke of, I have never seen one of these creatures in north Georgia. I have been bitten two times by Timbers. On my right arm in 1974 and again on my left buttock in 1977. The one in 1974 almost killed me. I know "why so high on my body?" The one in 1974 I was reaching for one and did not notice its partner about 18 inches away. It was about 2AM in the morning. the one on my butt was because a snake was up on top of a cutoff stump and I did not see it in time. I no longer handle wildlife. I lost a good friend about 25 years ago after he was bitten by a Southern Pacific. I have heard this snake as a percentage of bites has the highest that results in death.
Just wondered what venomous snakes you have found in northern KY and southern Ohio?
Timber rattlesnakes and 👮♂️ Copperheads the Massasauga rattlesnake is also in Ohio.
What is the best winter Herping method?
Go outside and flip rocks and logs. I know that sounds like sarcasm but it’s the truth. And don’t live in Minnesota…. That was sarcasm…. Hope you find something Angela!
I live in mid west Ga and I'm a snake owner and it really would like to do this but dont exactly know alot about snakes in this area
prolonged karen encounter😂😂😂
do you have a pet snake or any reptile and amphibian?
If you come to sweetwater creek park my daughter and i would love to go with you
Hi! Where in metro ATL is this??
Where in metro Atlanta ? I didn’t think there were any Cottonmouths there . I thought the closest was in Macon ?
Adorable 😂😂 he wish he was big enough to eat u He want to taste a couple of fingers 😂😂 Go to Florida you will get plenty action there find Anaconda an python cobra
I want to join you in helping adventures I'm from around metro Atlanta
This channel's too pure to show the Karen encounter but I kinda want to see it.
If you wanna see a Karen in they natural habitat you need to leave the South and travel to Columbus Ohio or Peoria Illinois, my good man👍
Wouldn't want people catching covid from all that fresh air.
Second! When you gonna hot southwest Utah?
Someone thought you were poaching deer? Without any weapons at all? Where is the logic? It isn't like you are trying to take down a deer with your bare hands
Aw c'mon...we want to see the karen footage.
I can not stand it when old people assume that if you’re under 25 you must be up to no good! I hated when people did that to me when I was that young and I hate it now when people do it to my 22 year old. He has a Karen in the apartment beneath him who swears that there are girls in their apartment and all kinds of xxx things going on up there. What she doesn’t know is that they are all seminary students and the girls are in the other building. Their Pastor lives as close to their apartment as she does and knows what does and does not go on. Mostly its just Halo.
You’d have to know these kids. Perfect no but there are certainly no orgies going on up in the seminary dorm apartment. Lol
Can people like that Karen not remember being young? Or is it that they can and they were that bad so they assume everyone else is too? I don’t know but at around 20-ish I was married and we just went to eat at Waffle House at midnight and played with our dogs after work. Nothing exciting for sure. We did get our nephew and take him to those indoor playgrounds they used to have and pretend to be his parents so that we could play on the equipment. That was fun… lol. You live a more exciting life that we ever have! LOL
A prolonged Karen encounter...oof.
I'm curious to know what Karen's explanation for mistaking you guys for poachers was.
That aint near Atlanta....I grew up there....
