Didn’t realize Cakewalk was still in the game. Haven’t seen the name in years. They had some nice vsts back in the day. Looks like they’re still in it.
Yep it’s still alive and well! The free version is still here and we are eating the official release of the new improved Cakewalk Sonar and Cakewalk Next. Definitely get it. It never hurts to have more than one DAW especially when it’s a free one.
I am facing a unique problem with Cakewalk. When I am working inside piano roll of a instrument track, if I edit any note or delete any note and then click play to listen, I can't hear any sound, Cakewalk stops all audio. Then I have to close the piano roll to go to track view and then I have to click any solo button of any track then click again to unsolo,, only then I am able to hear audio again. In this process I have to do all this again and again every time I edit inside the piano roll. You can see how annoying it is.
Whew that’s tedious. Few questions….. 1. Are there any 3rd party plugins running in Cakewalk project? 2. Is this happening on every project or only a specific project? I would reinstall Cakewalk, Make sure your memory is not overloading and that settings are on Asio if possible or Wasapi Shared. I’m sure it’s something simple at least I hope.
@@JustDaNorm Thanks to reply. This is happening in every project. I am using Cakewalk since about two years and an d third party VST are not the issue because earlier I never faced this problem, this is happening since Cakewalk paid version was announced and then Bandlab send me updates. This is happening since I installed those updates You may b right there is some simple reason behind it but I am unable to find that. This is such a unique problem I guess. I don't think that other users facing the same. One more thing, since Cakewalk paid was announced I am trying avoid reinstalling it, as its already installed and working properly, is it totally safe to reinstall? Well I already download all stuff of it via Product Center. I saved all the stuff on my computer. When Sonar will launch and Cakewalk will no longer available and then if I would install Cakewalk in other computer which I already saved (installer exe file and IStudio Instruments Suite etc), will it work then?
Please can I have some help I'm trying to record piano with a rode nt1 I'm sustaining the notes in real life but cakewalk is stopping the noise early Like a noise gate issue Many thanks in advance
Hey sorry you are having this issue. May I ask what interface are you using for recording? I’m not sure why an acoustic piano sustain is getting chopped off but it could be related to interface. Does the interface have gate or compression on it. I will look into it more. Does it occur in every project you create?
