haha! Kill cam does adjust your shots though because there's a secret built in auto aim with it.. So without it you're going to feel like you're missing more headshots than usual.
I think they've changed a few things since you posted this video. Flare arrows will land and if you get to them before they burn out, you can pick them back up and reuse them. Same thing with fire arrows even though they're supposed to destroy themselves. Poison arrows are the only ones that destroy themselves on impact, but those other two "special arrows" have a chance to be recycled. And it's not like you pick them up and you get a stone arrow back, you get a flare and fire arrow back respectively. It's kind of weird, but also really funny to just keep shooting the same flare arrow off.
Another great video Shabby! I wish I could put multiple likes on your vids, bro. You deserve ALL the likes!! I mean that, sincerely. Have a shabbyless day!
I recently started using flint aka iron arrows, despite the chance of breaking, because I find them cheaper to craft than bone arrows. Iron is usually abundant on the map, and I prefer to use bones on epoxy, which is a real pain in the ass when it comes to crafting T4 stuff.
Great vid as usual. I think you undersell the fire arrow a little though. The DOT stacks so it puts in work on boss fights.. They keep you warmer than a campfire in the artic... And you can use them to light a cave where you mine in places that have wet floors and cant drop a tortch. Also on that..they dont break so you can pick it up after mining and reuse it until it wears out.
Good to know! With exotic armour you're never cold unless it's well into the night or a blizzard so I never noticed. Also the only reason to stack DOTs is if you have more than 1 person. Otherwise just hitting your head shots will always net far more DPS.
Love the content. Love my bows. I do not bother with the guns because the bows feel cheaper and I can do everything I need to do with bone arrows to be honest.....and that Bow tree you can capitalize on all the time and some of the talents are sooo good, where as for the gun tree you have to get into the mission a bit before you can use them. And I am not a fan of the DoT arrows...not even sure I took the blueprints lol.
Definitely no to dot arrows. No point in most gun perks because without its still VERY overpowered. I only swap from bow in T4 for the hunting rifle because it's cheap, easy, and bullets cost basically nothing. 100 bullets goes a long way with that 6 clip capacity..
I stick with bone arrows throughout but I do occasionally run to the T3 recurve bow whenever I need the machining bench. Tried the top-tier workshop bow & wasn't impressed
Workshop bows have insane durability, 1 workshop bow is gonna last you as long as about 8 longbows! Totally worth it if you don't want to care about repairs
Nice video. I wish you would have discussed the workshop bows, at least on a surface level. Comparing the base line bows isn't very ticky, since they all use the same wording; +x % Projectile Damage. The workshop bows, on the other hand has modifiers to +x Arrow Speed and +X Damage with Bows. It is unclear if the Projectile Damage and Bow Damage affect damage in the same way... Man, how I hate it when games hide the math behind inconsistent tooltips...
The iron arrowhead breaks 10% more often than the bone. Who comes up with this? I'm hoping these are accidentally juxtaposed and will be fixed one day.
I doubt it since it does make sense. Because it's not actually iron it's just the ore itself it would be quite brittle. They should add ACTUAL Iron Arrowheads though and not just this flint.
@@ShabbyDoo Agreed, but flint doesn't have anything to do with iron or iron ore. I just assumed they didn't want each arrow to take 2 ore (1 iron ingot) so they called it flint instead of iron. I'm probably overthinking it though. lol
I was today years old, when I found out you could turn off kill cam 😂 need to hunt down this setting immediately. Good info on bows

Yeah it's been a hot minute! Back then the poison arrows had a 10,000% chance to break so, haha

Too kind Jon I appreciate that! Glad you enjoyed the content and find it helpful or at least entertaining!
@@ShabbyDoo or both.. but don’t tell Shabby that.. might go to his head ;-)

Yeah if I'm going to T4 I won't waste the bones; if you move around to map a lot iron shouldn't be a problem.
Can you ignite a tree fire with the flame arrow ...to chop for charcoal ?
You can set them on fire... Can't remember if fire arrows were strong enough
Thanks for info, have always used teir 2 bow and bone arrows. Looking forward to info on other bows
Any time!

Workshop bows are an absolute joke. The T2 Bow is better than them for damage.

If you are going to build a crafting bench then you should build a longbow, but if you aren’t a workshop bow is worth it

Its honestly at the very bottom of my list. The workshop bows are absolutely awful... 💯 👌
if u use the skinning bench u get like 20 bone/leather/fir
You get less bones from the skinning bench on average
Ok.. what key ZOOMS with the bow-scope?
So was that buffalo just unfazed by the poison arrow, or was he glitched?
Think the original one fell through the world or something? IDK
Where is that cave i haven't been able to find it
