    This is exactly what I needed, this is a whole lot better than the other tutorials, most of those are just overwhelming and they forget to mention the little things they don't think about any more that a newbie wouldn't know.

      Have you been out to the new(ish) trails in Scappoose yet? I think Syncline will always be a favorite…that view is something else (plus Little Moab is basically perfect for a trials rider like me)!

    This all looks like an insane amount of fun. But I can't quite balance on my bike without a tiny bit of forward motion. But riding on ice, frozen slush, and uneven snow is helping me.

    These basic moves are exactly what I need.
    Been riding for 50 years but never really advanced my riding much beyond just light trails on chesp road or hybrid bikes but lately bought emtb and wanting to explore more technical riding and need to back to basics which is great because I like a challenge and learning new things ...
    I a bit old for falling so no big jumps etc but I'm game for bit of fin off road.

      @@SuperRiderTV I have a question, hope you can help me out. When standing on the vrije I always have my left foot behind and my right foot on the front side. When keeping the front brake in and jumping with the back wheel to the right thats easy.
      But with left foot behind, taking the front wheel to the left is quite hard. Do I have to put my right foot rear to do this or do I have to keep practicing?
      Hoor my question is clear and thanks for answering, appreciate it :)

    Great video. I just wanted to add that you can practice these in your living room. Check with your wife first or wait till she's at work. Nothing like a little pressure not to break that tv or glass coffee table..

    Thanks for awesome training tips! I guess you already know this but I noticed it looks like your side straps on your helmet needs to be adjusted? Adjust the side straps so that they connect like a "V" just below the ears 🙂

    Love that Chameleon! What size are you riding and how tall are you? I'm right between a large and XL (6'1"). I'm tempted to go for the large.

      I’m riding a Medium frame and I’m 5’10”. I would probably go up to Large if I was going to start over with it, though. Such a fun bike!

    When you back pedal on the track-stand exercise you drive backwards. How is thar possible without the bike being a fixie?

      The backpedal disengages the hub, making it possible to roll back without resistance. I also use my hips to pull the momentum of the bike backward. There is a full video on this channel for the trackstand, definitely check it out if you can!

    When hopping on both wheels are you using your brakes?

      Yeah! Both brakes on to start - as you develop the skill you can substitute pedal pressure for the brakes (in some scenarios), but best to start with brakes until you get the hang of it.

    Can I learn these skills on an alluminum frame rigid fat bike? (35lb bike not 45 lb}

      Absolutely - I’m riding an aluminum frame here, and these techniques apply to any sort of mountain bike. You may find certain things in here easier on a rigid bike as well. In fact, my trials bike rear tire is *almost* fat bike width! 👊

      No clips, just flat pedals. Easiest/best way to learn, so you can bail quick - and you’re not reliant on the clipless to do the movements! 👊
