Hiking along Lititz Run in Millport Conservancy looks so peaceful and refreshing! 🌿🚶♂️ The natural beauty and serene atmosphere make it the perfect getaway. 🌊✨ Can’t wait to see more of your outdoor adventures! 🌟🍃
@@debbiehills2928 I also just realized a few days ago that there's a second, disconnected part of the preserve a half mile down Warwick Rd. so I plan to go to that this week.
I always enjoy learning about new parks and open spaces. Pretty cool that this spot is right down the road. "Landis Run" looked really nice! My favorite part of the video is 11:25 now that's real! 🤣
@@WALTERZOLNA also, "Landis Run" is a real stream nearby, and the school where my kids spent 5th and 6th grades, so that was where my head got stuck 😉.
another good video! Your shot of the "burning bush" at 3:15 shows why the sale of this plant is banned in Pa. It can push out native plants. Yes, nice stream flow fed by the springs that feed Lititz springs Park. Nice riffles to provide oxygen. So many places to explore in the Lititz area, wert, speedwell forge lake, State gamelands, Dean Saylor park, etc.
@@grillinandchillinwithdeb those are Topo Athletic Trailventures. These aren't waterproof (they drain really fast), but I do have their waterproof model.
Great find! Looks like an awesome place to hike! Love that so many students can participate in studies there. I always enjoy the underwater takes that you and Day Hike Dave do. You never know what you might see!
Oh wow! My hiking club maintains a lot of the trails there. Sorry about the mill race trail section. I'll make a note of the down trees and look into it. Glad you found and enjoyed Millport. I was hoping if I mapped the property on AllTrails more people would find it.
@@brendanmacneal7255 oh wow, thank you for adding it! AllTrails is exactly how I found it. I went to the second part today, around North Pond. No worries about the down trees, it happens, and it takes a lot more to stop me! I apologize for parking at the south tip of North Pond today and not realizing the trail between the pond and Lititz Run is closed (the sign was at the other end) 🤦♂️.
@HikerDudeDad Yes, the owner has the section around North Pond closed off. You can however, park at the north end of the pond and walk over the bridge where the campsite and the pine forest is. We've been building steps there so, just be mindful it isn't complete up there.
@@brendanmacneal7255 I did cross the bridge and go up the steps to the campsite and around.... Can anyone just reserve the campsite? The owner as in the North Museum? Yeah, I just strolled right through and then saw the sign by the bridge 🤦♂️.
@@HikerDudeDad The Conservancy is still original family owned. The North Museum has partnered with them, taking over the role F&M College once had. Yes, the campsite is reservable with permission. The owners are particular about who uses it because of teenagers sneaking up there at night. I'm not exactly sure of their preferred process. I'll have to ask. Our Hiking Club has a hidden UA-cam channel. (B-Mac Alliance Adventure Crew) I may have to send you contact details through email. P.S. You are correct, the dam for the mill race was breached a long while back to restore flow to Lititz Run.
I will be in Lancaster from 12/20/24 to 1/5/25 for Christmas with my daughters and grandchildren ... would love to meet up for a hike if you have the time. Bob Zirkle on FaceBook

Been there many times. A nice short place to hike.
@@verdashirk9819 have you been to the other part? Farther up Warwick Rd? Kids are off next week, so I want to get out, but stick close to home.
