This movie had a classic line up of comedians and Mr. T. Paul Rodriguez, Marsha Warfield, The Barbarian Brothers, Bill Maher, Gary Busey, Charlie Barnett, Max Gail, Jim Moody. That line up of characters was classic. Best comedy I have ever seen and still laugh at the shit in the movie. So many quotables in this movie. The Other Guys comes second by a distant second.
Man this movie is a All Time classic childhood movie of mine as well. It didn't get enough credit it deserved and had a First Time All-Star movie cast.
It's movies and music like this that make me damn proud to be 51 and damn proud to come out of the greatest generation for music comedy and movies amen
Sampson - ''My cab ain't no motel...Your a pitiful specimen of manhood!!!...And you; Why don't you get a job??'' -Hooker - ''Coz I need the bread!'' -Sampson- ''Than get a job at the bakery!!''
They cranked out these stale 80s movie songs, like products on an assembly line. There were literally HUNDREDS of them. Electronic drums, and blazing rock guitar solos, perfect for energizing "work-out scenes", or "building stuff to fight the bad guys" scenes. I'd sell my soul to go back to 83'.
The 80's began when I was 8 years old and ended at 17 when I graduated high school. Proud member of the very last graduating class of that awesome decade. Great memories!! But R.I.P. Irene Cara Escalera: March 18, 1959 - November 25, 2022.
@@malbourne805 well I'll be damned same here born 1972 damn proud to be 51 and damn proud to come out of the greatest generation ever for music comedy and movies there will never be another generation like ours the music the comedy the movies definitely could not fly in today's society and yes R.I.P to one incredible singer as Irene Cara amazing voice and quite a beautiful lady
"Mr. Rhythm says those that make you, can also break you". "Look There it is, Bruce Leigh" "But that says Bruce Leg" "I told you fools to stay in school" LOL
I remember the huge fiasco around this movie because parents automatically thought it was a kid's movie because of Mr. T. Thanks for uploading the soundtrack's songs - have had thing track on my mind for months.
“My father came back from the Korean War with his brains so scrambled, he thought he was Jesus! They put him in a nuthouse for five years, when he came out, he didn't think he was Jesus no more, he thought he was God. Which made me Jesus. This shit got pretty heavy.” 🤣🤣🤣
EQOAnostalgia my daddy was in the nuthouse for five years cuz he thought he was Jesus when he got out he didn't think he was Jesus Anymore you got it was God which made me Jesus
I was SO SHOCKED TO MY CORE when I saw this childhood movie on Blu Rey, in our local “Movie Trading company”. 😱😱😱I BOUGHT IT RIGHT AWAY!🤘😎❤️So many memories! 🤘😎❤️
I have chills. This was my favorite movie as a kid It was the first time I saw nudity in a movie(the topless bar scene when Busey ran off with the money) Mr. T was God to me (along with Hulk Hogan, Stallone(who I called ‘Rambo’ no matter what movie he was in) and Bruce Lee I remember the huge yellow plastic VHS case… Don’t know the actor who played Tyrone but he was Dave Chappelle before Dave Chappelle 😂 Gary Busey killed it…who knew that he was really just playing himself. Simpler times indeed.. Damn.
I just watched this movie the other day for the first time since a really long time ago. What a blast from the past. Laighed just as much as I did when I saw it in the 80's. So many memorable parts and quotes from this movie. One of the funniest parts is when they are telling Tyrone to grab the gun and he's like "I don't want the gun, I don't want the gun", he gets the gun and he's like "alright motherfucker" lmfao 😂😂😂😂Great movie!!
"you know what your problem is Bravo, you're so short your brain is just too close to your A#&hole!" My favorite as a kid , I'm grateful to be tall lol
My attempt at the lyrics: On the street, under pressure, the city angels meet Makin’ a stand against the odds, you can feel the heat (Pre-chorus) It’s make it, or break it, try to survive Don’t ever, say never, keep your dream alive (Chorus) Around the clock, we’re gonna rock The rhythm of the street, up and down the block Around the clock, we’re gonna rock The dreams you’d give if the streets could talk Wanna be somebody, be a contender, gotta reach for the sky If you want it, fight for it, or kiss it goodbye (Repeat Pre-Chorus) (Repeat Chorus)
pretty good! i'd add 'To" twice in the chorus and definitely change one incorrect word (give to hear): Around the clock, we’re gonna rock To the rhythm of the street, up and down the block Around the clock, we’re gonna rock To the dreams you’d hear if the streets could talk
The Swami There ya go: the official lyrics. Thanks for coverin' down, man. And btw, "Swami," you're not actually Chris Berman from ESPN in mufti, are you? ;)
One of the most underrated songs ever!!

My attempt at the lyrics:
On the street, under pressure, the city angels meet
Makin’ a stand against the odds, you can feel the heat
(Pre-chorus)
It’s make it, or break it, try to survive

(Repeat Pre-Chorus)
(Repeat Chorus)
pretty good!
