I don't know, that Erica Enders fellow pretty damn nice. And he ran a racers for Trump sticker on his pro stock Camaro. That takes balls bigger than I'll ever have
I met clay 17 years ago as a 13 year old boy. It was Michigan. He was racing IHRA. He let me and my brother come into his hauler to get autographs. he ended up winning the event. He let his fans come on the track with him as he cut his hair. Was an awesome experience all around and I’ll never forget
Clay Millican is such an upstanding and friendly guy with an amazing team, and I’m glad Kevin and Clay are friends. This is great side content for this channel. It’s good to see Kevin enjoy his personal time outside the shop. 👍
Clay Millican is the one of the finest ambassadors for the NHRA that the sport has.. A first class guy, who loves what he does for a living, and never forgets the fans. I met him once, a long, long time ago...you don't forget the good guys. Thanks Kevin. Really enjoyed this.
It's so nice to see clay getting a brand new ride. I hope they have a really good season he deserves it so much, I have been a fan of his since the IHRA days
I don't know the man but just from watching this, Clay looks like he LOVES what he does and his enthusiasm is infectious. I mean, who wouldn't be enthusiastic about 12k horsepower? EDIT: The car leaves the line so fast it looks like the footage is sped up! It doesn't even look real. That's incredible.
Clay is a class act. I had a friend tell me how 43 cup cars was the most amazing thing he's ever heard. I took him to a nhra top fuel race. It blew his mind.
*Clay's channel is a must-sub* cos he's not just the guy with the most IHRA Top Fuel wins in history but a truly humble car nut who takes his subscribers right inside his team with virtually nothing hidden, it's absolutely extraordinary, his team enjoy talking us through rebuilds, explosions, tuning, the astonishing intricacies of tuning a clutch, his content in the off season is his own car projects etc which if you've watched him for a while you'll already be invested in but otherwise watch some of last season's vids then sub and enjoy the coming season - you'll never ever get to feel this close to Top Fuel otherwise, it's astonishing we aren't paying for this! Awesome video thanks Kevin 🤗
Kevin in Clay’s car, looking like a kid sitting in a rollercoaster at Disney for the first time. 😁👍🏻 Thanks for including us in the fun, Kev. Clay’s got a carbon footprint like a 747 and we wouldn’t want it any other way! 😂👍🏻
It has been great to follow Clay Millican and his team. Thanks Kevin! We Finns have our own hero in the Top Fuel class, Anita Mäkelä. He is the first European to win the European Championship in two different classes, in the Top Alcohol class twice and in the Top Fuel class four times. Awesome stuff this is!
Clay is SUCH an awesome person! Always one of, if not THE most approachable people in the NHRA pits. Talking with him once a few years back at Norwalk, I was telling him how my shop was one of the highest volume shops with CPW in my area (his sponsor) so he pulls my family back into his pit, takes all kinds of pictures with the kids, and introduces us to the company president. Dude is such an amazing guy, and so genuine. Never seen him not smiling.
That feeling you get being at the starting line, is unreal and there's not much else like it. Feeling the power of the engine in your whole body is awesome
When a Top Fuel car lights off and you're in the stands, it's like a bomb going off. You feel it in every bone and it pushes you back. It's something you have to experience. With Wild Horse Pass closing down, we lost the last track where the stands were still up close and personal to these beasts.
I absolutely love this channel. Talking about University of Florida hearing those Cars, think about Bristol, in between them mountains. That was my first NHRA experience. Absolutely incredible. Thanks for the educational video on Rails.
I met clay 17 years ago as a 13 year old boy. It was in Michigan. He was racing IHRA. He let me and my brother come into his hauler to get autographs. he ended up winning the event. He let his fans come on the track with him as he cut his hair. Was an awesome experience all around and I’ll never forget.
🔥right on ksr, u really are living the best life man. So happy for u. Clay is one my favourite race car drivers out there, just a killer happy person🔥👊🔥🔨🏍👊
Kevin, you're description of Top Fuel is spot on and the exact one I tell people. You HAVE to experience a Top Fuel car in person, it will change your life! We got so lucky in the frozen North when NHRA started the New England Nationals at Epping, New Hampshire. Probably saw Clay back in his IHRA days!
DAMN Kev, you are one lucky guy! Nothing short of "Bad Ass" Clay is my favorite Top Fuel driver, this year it's gonna be a game changer for him and the entire Rick Ware team. LET GO !!!!! Thanks for sharing, I love top fuelers !!
Clay has got to be one of the coolest guys in the NHRA . it's awesome to see you geek out being able to hang out with him,, kind of like when we get to hang out with you guys. I have to get to to an NHRA event one day
It's amazing it makes your ears ring and you can almost feel the pressure in your chest just watching the video. Being that close to a top fuel launch really is unlike anything else in the world. It takes a minute to get over it. It will literally take your breath away. Awesome. I worked at Memphis Motorsports Park years ago and had the other of setting clay run a number of times and meet him a couple. Really nice guy. My sister also used to work at pro-decal, was a local company that did wraps and such and they used to do his car, way back in the blue Werner transport livery. Racecar shit is the best.
Clay is such a kid…and Kevin sitting in the’office’ you could see the gears spinning. By the way,did this qualify as’ best day ever’? At least until tomorrow!!!!!
Kevin so cool to see you sitting in a Top Fuel dragster. It must have been a Bucket List item checked. Match race, well that would light up UA-cam. Thank you for taking us with you.
love seeing you nerd out on top fuel, it is my fav . And like you say if you haven't seen them in person you won't understand fully the power and sensation of top fuel
Never been a big drag race fan. (Yeah yeah I know lol). But I have been a fan of Clay for as long as I can remember. For his attitude mostly. When I started watching his channel I seen the struggle they were in with old parts and a low independent budget in that monster class. Now with all the funding and resources brought in I can't wait for this season. I think he is gonna set them on fire!
Much love from California Kevin! As always, we appreciate you taking us along for the ride and for getting to know clay a little better with every pass.
I totally agree with you Kevin that Top Fuel is some of the most magnificent form of drag racing....the sheer power, the components that go into into the drivetrain like the massive clutch stacks and rear gear...the amount of tech behind the scenes... You also made a great showing on how loud and rumbling they are when you were 200 ft past the 1320.....that loud at idle 1500ft+ away is just mind blowing. I've been to many NHRA events at Sonoma here in Cali.
I was fortunate enough to meet Clay at the Virginia Nationals in Richmond last year, and he's as nice in person as he seems on camera. Stomp on that loud pedal!
Spot on Kevin if you have never been around a Top Fuel in person. My first experience was John Force at Norwalk, Holy Sheet. 🤣Next up was Top Fuel and soon realized we were too close to the Starting line in Club seating if I wanted to live. From Indy Cars to Pulling tractors I thought I had seen it all. Tip of the Day for Newbies: Wear hearing protection and stay upwind when they fire the engine in the pits. 😁
Some of the best top fuel nerd content I ever got to experience is in Brainerd in Doug Kaletta's pit. My brother is pretty high up the corporate ladder with MAC tools and got me an all access pass and I got to watch the insanity of top fuel during competition. The amount of money that goes down the drain every pass is crazy! But it is every motor heads dream to watch it up close and personal. I will echo what Kevin said. If you've never been to an NHRA top fuel event, you owe it to yourself to go. The pure display of horsepower is not something that can be put into works. You just have to experience it for yourself.
I was very fortunate growing up. My dad loves drag racing. Been going to tracks since I was 2! In my teens dad started taking me to Bristol and we even made it to Indy once. Was an AWESOME experience!! Got to meet big daddy Don Garlits, John Force, Warren Johnson, Scotty Cannon to name a few. Wouldn’t trade my childhood or anything! Have taken my own kids to local track in Bowling Green a few times. Watching them enjoy the same thing as I did as a kid sure made me understand why dad took me like he did!!
What an awesome video. Clay seems like a genuine guy. I remember seeing the Top Fuel cars in Indianapolis in the 90’s. Nothing like seeing those monsters in person. Thanks for the great videos, Kevin.
I’ve been a fan of NHRA since my dad brought me to the Southern Nationals in Atlanta to watch John Force in the late 90’s. Clay is a new favorite of mine. Such a cool, chill dude! Thank you for covering Top Fuel dragsters! Love seeing the inner workings and up close. Keep up the cool builds and the cool coverage!
I live in Pomona ca. like a mile away from the track and have been going every year twice a year since I was 5!!!! No better experience in the world, it has always been a dream of mine to drive one!! Love Clay and his team and wishing and praying for an amazing year for him his team and Rick Ware racing!!!
Clay is a Champion of a human being. Now he just needs to become a Champion of NHRA. Not a nicer person out there especially with all his hardships! He just somehow, keeps a smile on his face. Big fan of his as well as the Force team! BTW Kevin, what was Clay checking from the cockpit with a mirror? Sorry if I missed it...
Clay is already a multi time champ. You should follow his channel. He is going to be very competitive this season. You'll get to see lots of good racing and good car content. The mirror is part of his pre-rip procedure. Been doing that for years.
I can’t even imagine it. I absolutely love drag racing but I never get out to the track but maybe once a year. UA-cam kinda does it for me lol. The loudest I’ve heard was the street outlaw cars when they came to my local track in Kentucky. And those were pretty damn loud so I can’t even begin to imagine what top fuel sounds like. I need to go to an event this year
What a Cool video . Glad to see that you got to go hang out with Clay and the team . Yea I Top Fuel experience is Crazy . Soccer Mom was looking good . Awesome Channel Kevin . 🇺🇸
26 minute mark+: Family via video. Makes a whole lotta sense. This video was top notch. Great insight to top fuel and Clay's folks. Yep, the trans brake comment was all Clay. Love it!
Back in the late 70's early 80's I went to SIR very racing season. I felt the power waves of the top fuel dragsters. The power they have today is unreal
The pits are always where the show is at in my opinion. The way the tare it apart between rounds, is mesmerizing. It's Like the male equivalent to a majestically choreographed dance. Immediately followed by a mechanically majestic symphony of raw power!
Honestly, the timing in top fuel is insane. A sixty of about 0.7s, eighth in under 3s?! Cleetus runs sixes and he's happy with an eighth at 4.90! It's difficult to judge exactly how fast those things move without seeing it for yourself. 🤯
There's not a friendlier man in all of nhra, than smiling Clay Millican. Best of luck this season !!!!
That's true he let me sit in one of his top fuel dragsters when I was a kid
Clay really is the best
I don't know, that Erica Enders fellow pretty damn nice. And he ran a racers for Trump sticker on his pro stock Camaro. That takes balls bigger than I'll ever have
I met clay 17 years ago as a 13 year old boy. It was Michigan. He was racing IHRA. He let me and my brother come into his hauler to get autographs. he ended up winning the event. @@shortshorts920 That's kick ass. Sounds like an excellent day.
Clay Millican is such an upstanding and friendly guy with an amazing team, and I’m glad Kevin and Clay are friends. This is great side content for this channel. It’s good to see Kevin enjoy his personal time outside the shop. 👍
Top Fuel is amazing, and Clay is a great guy for sharing so much knowledge.
Kevin that was awesome !!! thanks for taking us along for the ride, Clay is such a happy guy always smiling and willing to talk to anyone.
Clay is a hell of a guy, most down to earth guy out there
Clay Millican is the one of the finest ambassadors for the NHRA that the sport has.. A first class guy, who loves what he does for a living, and never forgets the fans. I met him once, a long, long time ago...you don't forget the good guys.
Thanks Kevin. Really enjoyed this.
clay seems like such an awesome guy. I bet this was an amazing experience! thanks for bringing us along
Clay is great, go check his channel 👍
@@iannorton4463 i went backwards - i'm here from clay's channel! :-)
It's so nice to see clay getting a brand new ride. I hope they have a really good season he deserves it so much, I have been a fan of his since the IHRA days
Yeah, I am pulling for a few wins this year. he has the car, he has the parts, and he has THE TEAM!! Go Clay!
Clay is such a GREAT ambassador for the sport of Top Fuel.
I've ALWAYS loved Clay as a racer. Probably the happiest guy in racing.
Clay Millican seems like the coolest chill guy around! What an awesome person, and stands to make sense why you two are friends!
Clay nailed that final start. Best wishes for a great season of Top Fuel racing, Clay.
Clay is a class act. I had a friend tell me how 43 cup cars was the most amazing thing he's ever heard. I took him to a nhra top fuel race. It blew his mind.
Clay is the most down to earth dude, and at the highest level of the sport with all the money and effort that it takes, he is all smiles.
Clay is from my home state of Tennessee. Love Clay Millican. Oh yea, received my Soccer Mom t shirt in the mail today. It looks awesome.

Kevin in Clay’s car, looking like a kid sitting in a rollercoaster at Disney for the first time. 😁👍🏻
Thanks for including us in the fun, Kev.
Clay’s got a carbon footprint like a 747 and we wouldn’t want it any other way! 😂👍🏻
Anytime Clay is around you know it’s gonna be epic👍
Best ksr video in a while. Shows how much Clay respects you and how down to Earth he is.
I feel like Kevin could go way faster than Soccer Mom, but chooses reliability and happiness.
Clay is legit the coolest guy. Love how nice and friendly he is. His videos are great too
It's never a bad day when you do a catch up with Clay! Kevin nerding out and Clay just smiling away 😁
It has been great to follow Clay Millican and his team. Thanks Kevin! We Finns have our own hero in the Top Fuel class, Anita Mäkelä. Thanks for taking us along!! So cool!! Great close ups. That last run about knocked you over!! 💯💯 Clay is a class act!!
Clay.... Love this guy, and I have to say that the enthusiasm y'all share for this sport is very infectious and needed. KEEP IT UP!
Thanks! Will do!

Finding Clay on youtube got me back into NHRA, I use to watch regularly in the 90s, Kenny Bernstein was my driver.
Kevin is such a lucky guy to have a friend like Clay 🙌🏻
Salt of the earth right there, humans don't come much better than these fellas. 💚👍👍
The world needs more Clay Millican's.

Hope Clay has a great season this year!
I got to stand on the line at top fuel races in Virginia one year. Coolest experience ever. Words don’t explain it.
Clay is the man, been a fan of his since his IHRA days as well.

That was really awesome Kevin - thanks for bringing us along.
Another awesome video, it's so cool that you get up close, lets us see just how much work it is to maintain a fuel car.
It's not only to see a Top Fuel make a run, you gonna feel them.. 💖
Totally awesome post, Kevin. Top Fuel is the best and Clay is a really nice guy. Thank you for sharing what had to be a fun day.
I am a HUGE MILLIFAN and your video gives great insight to everybodys new jobs and roles
(PS Clay is a 29 inch waist lol)

Clay is here a cool guy. I really enjoy his attitude about life. His demeanor is similar to yours. Keep up the great work guys.
Kevin...I have been a gigantic Clay fan all the way back to his IHRA days...to have that access to the team would be awesome 👍👍
Watched my first NHRA top fuel 8yrs ago, it will change your life. Hooked for life!
What an awesome video. Clay seems like a genuine guy. I remember seeing the Top Fuel cars in Indianapolis in the 90’s. Nothing like seeing those monsters in person. Thanks for the great videos, Kevin.
Very entertaining , Kevin. Enjoyed it alot. Looking forward to Clay & team pulling into Bristol this season. Good luck doing the trans am.✌🏻♥️🙏🏻
Nothing more violent than a top fuel . You don't just here it you feel it in your chest. He'll yeah. Good luck on the new season.
Kevin this video proves what a great guy you are! I don't think Clay would call you "family" if he did not sincerely mean it!
I live in Pomona ca. like a mile away from the track and have been going every year twice a year since I was 5!!!! No better experience in the world, it has always been a dream of mine to drive one!! Love Clay and his team and wishing and praying for an amazing year for him his team and Rick Ware racing!!!
Subscribed to Both , Mr Millican is the man , Down to earth ! Love the Raw power of those machines
It’s hard to describe the thumping you get in your chest, just sitting in the stands! They’re a beast.
Thank you Kevin for this part....@2:45 never heard a top fuel at the end of the run....Sick!
Two of my faves. Kev/Clay. I met Clay at Bristol last year. He’s an awesome guy. Hope to make it back again this year.
Awesome video Kevin, loved every minute of it.
Nothing better than watching you and Clay having a blast.😀👍
What a Cool video . Glad to see that you got to go hang out with Clay and the team . Yea I Top Fuel experience is Crazy . Soccer Mom was looking good . Awesome Channel Kevin . 🇺🇸

This daily uploads are making my week so much better!
For several years, I lived 2 miles from Bandimere, and it would rattle my windows and shake my chest when the big boys made a run. Loved it!
Clay is a true gentleman. Such a good guy.
