She made a connection, trust,love with the fosters. Her bio dad was not there. If I were I would have chosen the foster too. That’s her family
From what I remember, her bio dad didn’t know about her. So maybe he would’ve done the same if he was given the chance early on.

She didn't want to see Sophia because Sophia destroyed the papers that would allow her to get adopted so..not cruel..justified
And she wouldn't be with Jude, whom she's been with since his birth. It wouldn't be fair to yank Callie away from Jude.
It’s interesting because if she hadn’t ripped up the papers she probably would have been able to see her sister whenever and now because of her betrayal, Callie wants nothing to do with her

In this one particular situation it would be better for Callie to stay where she is but more often than not it’s healthier for the child to stay with its bio parents whenever possible.

I cannot believe people are siding with the Quinn’s in this. Are you kidding me? After years and years of Callie and Jude being shunted from foster home to foster home, they finally find one that loves them for them, that would never even consider ditching them because they’re “difficult” or “hard to manage”, only for Callie to have that chance snatched away on the basis of genetics. So she goes to her father, finds out that he allowed himself to be pressured out of a relationship with her mother by his parents and has his own family to manage. That’s all good, because she explains why she wants to stay with her current family, and he agrees to allow her to stay, and she gets to know her sister and her father’s new family in a positive way, probably would’ve kept in contact with them afterwards because they actually seemed to care about her as well. But what does Sophia do next?
She says “fuck what my sister wants” and rips up those papers, her one chance at happiness. And what does her so called father do? He goes back on his word and says he won’t sign her over, and that he’s going to fight to take her away from Stef and Lena and Jude and all of her new siblings. It doesn’t matter that Callie desperately wants to stay with them, that she loves them and they love her, oh no, Callie is “his daughter” and “she belongs with him”. Absolute BULLSHIT. He walked away from her mother, said no to having a life with her, he has zero right to Callie, especially as she’s just about a grown woman by this point.
Callie’s one chance at happiness and he and Sophia took it away from her. Callie had every right to be furious with them, screw the lot of them! If they can’t be bothered to consider what will make her happy, they don’t deserve a daughter like her.
And to everyone saying that the Quinn’s being RICH is even a factor in this case, it’s not. It never has been and never will be. What makes a good family is that they love you, and not only want what’s best for you but also want you to be happy and give you their love unconditionally. Stef and Lena could be dirt poor and they’d still run circles around the Quinn’s because they actually care about what Callie wants.

You all have to not only see it from Callie’s perspective but live it in her perspective. She lives with the Adams-Fosters, and has since she’s gotten out of juvenile detention/ juvie. They took care of her, raised her since she left juvie. They love her and she loves them, she has siblings who have her back, Jude is there too. They’ve all been through something similar to her story and they can all relate to each other’s pain. They KNOW Callie, Robert doesn’t. This isn’t because she won’t allow him to, but because he’s so worried and focused on buying her love back with his money. Not saying he doesn’t love Callie, cuz he does, but he’s not using the right techniques, Sophia really just wants a sister, and her mother honestly just seems to want Sophia to be happy. Callie gave them many chances and I think all of the time she spent with them was her trying to study them and how her life would be with them. She wouldn’t be happy. She wants a “normal” life, her normal. Crazy normal with multiple siblings and police and principle moms. If someone ripped your adoption papers how would you feel, even if it was because they wanted you around? If you think about it, Callie and Sophia could still see each other daily or even on weekends, they just wouldn’t live together. It was selfish honestly. She let her own thoughts of HER happiness get in the way of Callie’s. Sophia ruined any chance she ever had of seeing Callie ever again.
I felt sorry for Jill, the look of sadness on her face :(. She was basically accepting to Callie, as well not sugarcoating anything towards her. Poor Jill saddened
@Cynthia Zavala exactly, more reason why I felt bad for her when Callie gave out her ultimatum in retaliation to Sophia since she was the one who created that situation. Though Sophia did have reasonable intentions but not to Callie considering someone made the decision for her which was basically the majority of her life

This never made sense to me. The Adam Fosters are blood too. They have legally adopted her biological brother. So they’re blood and more familiar with her.

I understand afterwards watching it again that Callie feels a connection to the Addams Fosters. That she doesn’t feel with her bio family. But I wish she would be more understanding of how they feel and understand that they feel close to her. Plus the Dad didn’t know about her he would have taken care of her had he known
I totally agree but I don’t think she wanted to make a connection with him because he didn’t consider what she wanted at all. Also I totally understand why she was upset with Sophia, after what she did. Sophia was young and she didn’t understand what she was doing but it was still wrong.

She was because of her parent's and grandparent's mental ill they pressure her that hard that she became even suicidal
She was trying to make a connection until Sophia disregarded what Callie wanted and ripped up the papers. I think Callie had every intention of maintaining a real relationship with all of them until Sophia did that and then Robert didn't want to resign. All they had to do was think of Callie instead of what they wanted, and asked her to keep a relationship with them - and odds are Callie would have.
The man was effectively a stranger to her. No amount of emotionally manipulative nonsense will invalidate her feelings on the matter.
Now I understand the term ‘If you really loved me, you’d let me go’
i commend callie for keeping it together and making a decision right then and there. all that pressure on me? i would probably have a panic attack right after the question. especially if i were to be a child like callie. that's a lot of pressure on a kid's shoulders. everyone is looking at you and placing their hopes on you when you're only a teenager, already confused about the world as it is.

I understand Callie feels they Adams are her family but I wish she would try to see her family side and be more accepting or try more
This could be wrong cuz I haven't watched the show in a couple of years, but I'm pretty sure she would've been ok with having a relationship with them if they had let the Adams-Fosters adopt her but by not allowing that they showed that they cared more about themselves than her happiness
Nah. She already planned on doing that/was doing that. She was enjoying having two families, and then her bio family tried to steal that option away from her by sabotaging her adoption that was already delayed by literal years. They broke her trust and once Callie is over something, she's over it and she doesn't turn back.

Would you if you were in Callie shoes? Would you give your Dad's new family a chance after he complete abandoned you to the system that is completely broken and doesn't truely care about the kids especially the older children/hard to handle ones. Find out that your bio dad started his own family never once tried to find or reach out to you or your brother, then after you find your dad you try to build a relationship...let him know that you finally are happy and have a family that cares then he tried to take you away from that....wouldn't you be angry??

Actually she did give them a chance....and she still gave her dad a second chance, she chose not to cut ties with him completely for the sake of him being her biological father even though he cut ties with her before. Callie has been used & hurt most of her childhood and adult life, yet she thought of her own bio dad feelings before making a decision. He did put his own feelings first instead of his own daughters! Parents (good ones anyway) always put their own children first, regardless of how they feel....he did not! Which proves who was the better parent for Callie....she even recognized that herself! He never took into account of how she felt about the situation....any parent or guardian can understand Callie's decisions...I'm an aunt who comes from a broken family and I completely understand her decision! They broke her trust....you have to earn it. She let them in, and coming from someone who is broken myself it is hard to do she gave them a huge chance. In return they basically slapped her in the face by saying they would rather rip her from her only happiness, and her brother, then force her to be with her biological dad & his family who had previously gave her to the system because he was being selfish. Parents don't do that...trust is always earned never given by force that is what the biologicaldad and her step family were trying to do to her. If they took into count her feelings before they made that step it would of been completely different.

Callie didn't do anything wrong in this case, she has every freaking right to be angry with Sophia, she destroyed one of the most important things for Callie, i know Sophia has a "mental" problem, but that doesn't give her the right to do what she did to Callie, tearing up those documents for her, it's like tearing her heart out !, this is not what sisters do ! .
