It’s a very similar solution to the one we provide our customers who want to produce Lightboard Videos for their audiences.
I was a little surprised to see your using the T7 SSD to record directly from the BMPCC4K, I was under the impression that only the T5 was compatible?!
But if the T7 is working for you guys, that’s great.

Thanks for the comment! And yes the T7 works. I think it may have been added in one of the more recent firmware updates.

Trying to understand saving raw foortage from camera. I always thought you’d need a computer between your camera and ext drive to save the footage? Is this an exception with black magic gear?

The black magic pocket cameras have a usbc output drive that saves directly to the drive.

Ok couple of questions.
I use a tascam dr-40x to get sound from the DJs console in weddings.
Can i run an aux cable from the tascam to the Atem mini pro?
I've read that there could be issues with the sound not in sync with the video that way and the solution is the Rode Go ii, but the receiver plugged in a camera instead in the Atem.
Do i need OBS? Can't i stream directly from the Atem?

Yes you can run sound directly from cameras and no you don’t need OBS. We use OBS as a way to integrate lower thirds and other video.

Yes I have. And yes I do! My friends at Calvary Tucson have one and use it and they love it. If you can afford it and put in the time to learn the ins and outs of it, I’d say go for it!
