I got a set of these pickups for my les paul special - tele hybrid they are sooo much better than humbuckers because when you lower the volume they clean up (the guitar is wired like a tele with a treble bleed) and sound like a telecaster and then you crank them they sound like a humbucker but more responsive and more high end so you can get all the squeals out of the cranked guitar with a lower volume.
Cool,do they emphasis any frequencies a little bit over the others?I'm guessing it's mid focused but mostly linear in its response?It has enough "air",more sparkle than a typical humbucker?I've been lurking on these and am interested.
They have great products but take forever to ship. Auto response to purchases but shipping takes more than they say. Be prepared to wait a good week for them to process and who knows how much more to ship.

So is the '56 Quiet Coil a humbucker design (2 coils), or no?
Yes,two coils side by side with a narrow spacing between magnets.If it's like the 67 quiet coils it does a pretty good job approximating the sound.

No treble bleed. Just wired straight into the original wiring harness.
