Playing EQ alpha/beta was the most fun I’ve had playing a video game. I remember my gnome rogue rocking Willsapper and Ragebringer. I had to come up with a rotation to lower my aggro so every cycle I’d stop atracking for a beat, and if possible, pickpocket. The difficulty of the game is what made it great. Every mmo that followed, except Vanguard, was a pale comparison. Your videos always give me a lot of nostalgia.
26031 points. Whoops, I did the test before the video and didn't realize you could look around. After watching, I don't think I would have beat your score anyhow. Well done!
Velious was an amazing xpack. It's when I started playing eq. The amount of time I spent in some of those zones. I don't think a day went by that I didn't spend time in velks.
I was screaming about Crows! I, too, made bad decisions with my first character being a human rogue worshipping Rodcet, but I got to chill in what is probably my favorite city with an awesome secret rogue guild.
43442! Some poor choices I made - for some reason I thought the Warrens entrance was Droga, I also made a guess in Neriak Third Gate which turned out to be Neriak commons. All in all though, rather chuffed with myself.
I know original world VERY WELL, firstly because i tried like a dozen characters between levs 1-20, and secondly because I work on my own Emu and spent dozens of hours redoing old zones. Its only the very high end original zones I am not familiar with, I get lost in Solusek even with MAP overlay. But things like Warrens or Unrest i know by every inch.
I would say that if there was a place i would screw up on is Odus. I barely went there for about all 25 years of playing. When the hole opened was the most time i ever spent there. Even when i made a Euridite I would immediately get him to a "normal" zone for me lol.
I got two perfects on this challenge of 5000. The Dagnors Cauldron one, and the Qeynos one. I scored a total of 39506, with the lake of ill omen one throwing me off, and the icewell one. I also had wrong side of the zone for Splitpaw, which didnt help, and missed stoneburnt as i never really used the zone. I did the Warrens, but not much in stone.
To be fair, very few people know Odus well. Most Erudites die the first time night falls. 🤷♂️ Edit: My brother played an Erudite Wizard, so my first attempt was an Erudite Magician. Then I died, because it was so dark I couldn't see the kobolds and spiders creeping up on me. Went Dark Elf, never went night-blind again. lol
And to answer your question about getting perfect scores.. I had perfect on DC, Stoneburnt, Freeport, Icewell and Qeynos. Then had under 10 units on Erud's crossing and Tox forest
42319, only slightly better... I never spent a lot of time on Odus, so Stonebrunt mountains threw me, for some reason I thought it was the entrance to Runnyeye and I was way off on Icewall keep, I won't even tell you my guess on that one.
Managed a neat 43799~ 5000 on Dagnor 1822 on Stonebrunt because I mistook it for Wakening Lands 4865 from Erud's crossing. Apparently the smaller the zone, the more punishing the pixel units are 4969 on Ill Omens 4861 on Toxxulia. Clicked north-eastern corner of the spire when it was south-western. 4962 Splitpaw 5000 West Freeport. #JustHumanThings 4970 Neriak Warrior Guild 2352 Icewall. Mistook it for Siren's Grotto 5000 Qeynos #JustHumanThings.. Again
Do you remember the original warrens? Before it was removed and then later redone and relaunched? I have hand made maps from then. 2001 I think with the loot changes. Now not a single tlp launches with this zone active. I believe it gimps Erudite players and would make a TLP launch more divers as they have pal sk cleric enc mage wiz nec all in odius.
The scoring on the program is weird. The difference between Eruds Isle and Desert or Ro is only 236 points, even though they are continent away from each other, while opposite ends of West Karana gives difference in THOUSANDS of points.
No Everquest blah blah blah blah blah, Blah Blah Blah UO ~-> Lineage2 ~-> Lotro ~-> Darkfall ~-> Embers Adrift Who has time to ever be questing, sheesh :) 19814 - and I never played - cool maps though bro. That number is strangely Orwellian, I'm scared.
I used to play the 'where am I?' all the time. When drinking so much at night, and wake up the next day, log in, and have no effing clue where I was.
macro 'sense heading' "You think you know where you are going"
Dark Elf Shadowknight here for the lack of need to shrink, the plate look and my god the ultravision!
I knew the Lake of Ill Omen one instantly, from the architecture. Man I spent way too much time there.
I still remember spending so much time at sarnak fort listening to Linkin Park

Incredibly done for not looking around! I would have had no idea with some of those!
37264... I can honestly say I'm not sure I ever went to Icewell... Some were way to easy and iconic to forget. Freeport gates...LOIO...
I remember being amazed by thurgadin but less so icewell

I also started with Dark Elf Warrior!
They looked so cool!
I still have my original cloth map from the Ruins of Kunark expansion 😃
That's awesome!
43442! Some poor choices I made - for some reason I thought the Warrens entrance was Droga, I also made a guess in Neriak Third Gate which turned out to be Neriak commons. All in all though, rather chuffed with myself.
Excellent job! Well done!
You got me! 31,440 for me. I said those wizard spires were in GFay too!
Good to know it wasn't just me!!

My highest level is a 115 Erudite SK. Gamma setting to the max!!
Scored 41986! I'm super unfamiliar with Odus so I butchered all the ones near that continent, but the rest were a great walk down nostalgia park!
No idea about the geography… I’m still in a cave camping Ykesha blade. What year is it now?
You did so much better than I did lol. I dont even want to say what my score was. I did do well with the Qeynos and West Fteeport spots though.
45538
LOIO got me. (I had it WW) admittedly, I never really fucked around in LOIO or WW, other than traveling through
And to answer your question about getting perfect scores.. I had perfect on DC, Stoneburnt, Freeport, Icewell and Qeynos. Then had under 10 units on Erud's crossing and Tox forest
42,806. Got screwed because I couldn't guess PoMischief from the horrible view distance they put in these screenshots.
Dark Elf warrior for 25 years. No regrets!
Crafted look awesome on dark elf warriors!
You did better than me, and I'm still playing. lol We almost did the same dialog as we played. 35,421
Hey how do you feel about the possible Kunark launch TLP?
41308. I ran out of time on the neriak round. Doh!
Awesome! Even with that round you still beat me!
42319, only slightly better... I never spent a lot of time on Odus, so Stonebrunt mountains threw me, for some reason I thought it was the entrance to Runnyeye and I was way off on Icewall keep, I won't even tell you my guess on that one.

First Char was a Dark Elf Warrior is bad? My main was a Wood Elf Warrior lol

Do I know EQ better than you? No. That's was easy 🙂
how was Feydar to Odus only 48 units away???
I decided to make a video of this and I got two 5000 in a row in a series of very bad scores so it definitely is possible!
Awesome!!! Well done
I had a perfect score in Qeynos catacombs sharktank. But for the rest I am terrible at this game.
Interesting game. 33000 points. I don’t like how it scores though. You got more points for GF spires than I got for the wrong half of kaladim.
The scoring on the program is weird. The difference between Eruds Isle and Desert or Ro is only 236 points, even though they are continent away from each other, while opposite ends of West Karana gives difference in THOUSANDS of points.
Am I a shaman? sure I'll live in EQ
I'll never forgive them for Freeport.
No
Everquest blah blah blah blah blah, Blah Blah Blah
UO ~-> Lineage2 ~-> Lotro ~-> Darkfall ~-> Embers Adrift
Who has time to ever be questing, sheesh :)
19814 - and I never played - cool maps though bro.

I wish we had more of these for more games. A uo one seems simple enough
@@Redbeardflynn Absolutely
I do, lol my answer before i watch.
This is fun
eq. card revoked!!
😭
@@Redbeardflynn better than I'd do I bet lol
No sir, no I do not 😂
🤣
