    People say I'm dumb to buy a Cooper JCW edition instead of spending the money on a Mercedes or something... Nah, I like my ride fun.

    To all those people commenting something like, "well for the money you could get a Mustang or w/e" Ask yourself why you came here and watched the video. :) You know you want one of these rare JCW Mini's. They handle way better than a Mustang or Camaro.

    Thanks for the great video- and I love the AT in my Cooper S F56, I never want to drive manual again. People complaining about the AT never drove one recently, Things have changed a lot.

    Yay,you finally mentioned the reliability and parts cost issue during a car review.Even though it was just in passing, that is better than not at all.It is almost as if some one read and took heed of my comments on this issue. Thank you! : )

      Everything is new in this generation Mini. Engine, transmission, chassis, infotainment... Other generations' reliability is absolutely irrelevant.

    • @Statimtek
      @Statimtek 8 років тому

      Ricardo Lourizela "Everything is new in this generation Mini. Engine, transmission, chassis, infotainment.."
      Which is another reason to doubt the reliability. "new" doesn't necessarily mean better, or more reliable. A car company known for unreliable cars is not suddenly going to get better just because they made everything new. The proof will be in the pudding. ; )

    • @ricardolourizela5961
      @ricardolourizela5961 8 років тому +3

      +Statimtek They're new in the Mini, you moron; they've been tried and tested in some BMW models. And this Mini now comes with a 5 year warranty. Because I think the brand is in this for the profit, I doubt they'd give that extended warranty to an unreliable car.

    much about the handling.

      Maybe the Bambi. I had a 2011 S Countryman that I had fitted with a trailer hitch receiver so that I could haul a 5' x 8' utility trailer. I can't remember exactly the tongue weight but I think I could safely haul the trailer plus up to 1800 pounds.

    okay I like the cooper works, but the hellkitty? No, just no. esile (aka a backward Elise), yes. a practical 4C, absolute. The ultimate front wheels driving machine, sure. hellkitty no. but otherwise if it was not for my economic status this would be on my short list, and for reasons I feel I need to explain I can't get it used.

    • @WittyDroog
      @WittyDroog 9 років тому +14

      Simple: because you like the Mini more than the Golf. Not everything about a car is the numbers in the paper, in fact a lot of it is the driver's emotional attachment to the car which comes from his the car looks and how it drives. Some people with test drive both cars and just prefer the Mini over the Golf regardless of numbers, but that's why it's so important to drive a car before you buy it, too experience those intangibles.

      The Golf is just a better platform than the mini, regardless of model. I think the mini primarily sales on quirky styling which is kind of cool, but not enough to justify the price in my mind.

  • @DJTEVAdotCOM
    @DJTEVAdotCOM 9 років тому

    When I was looking for a used Mini, I realized majority of the used Minis were at 50,000k. That tells me people don't trust the reliability and sells it as soon as the warranty is over. From my experience with friends and families who owned a Mini, they had nothing but issues. The horrible new redesign does not help either.

    If you are going to drive a Ferrari then by all mean drive the manual. Oh wait, it doesn't come in a manual. Darn!
    The automatic for me, please. Better performance with less work.

    • @Antebios
      @Antebios 8 років тому

      +DavidElCid300 Manual is less work??? How is that? Automatic is 1) press gas 2) go. 1) press brake 2) stop. Now, don't get me wrong, I can drive manual. But, with city stop-and-go driving, it's just more work.
